“If I could give the service 6 stars I would. The food is excellent and the portions are extremely generous but truly the service at this mom and pop restaurant by owners Karen and Corky make this experience truly top notch. One of my favorite restaurants on the coast!“

“Nothing happens when I click on the photo, it won’t let me load a photo of my black slimy translucent lettuce! The chalet is our go to restaurant for breakfast and lunch however, today I had a salad. It looked great, until I started eating it and got black, slimy, lettuce, and even the iceberg lettuce was mostly soggy. Some of the iceberg lettuce was even translucent, looking as if it had been frozen at one time. I would be humiliated to serve a disgusting salad like this one and not offering to replace the salad or remove the cost from the bill.“

“Hearing that this was a fun place, we decided to eat here as we stayed in Newport . For a Friday early evening the place was busy but not overly crowded. The food was amazing and the portions were big. You got your money's worth here. The staff was very friendly. I thought the slogan on the back of the t-shirts was hilarious so I bought one and wore it the next day. We WILL be back as we travel to Newport a lot.“

Service was quick, and our entrées were delicious. Plating and portions were perfect. This is a family-owned organization with the best dining in Newport.“

“I am always pleased with the service and quality pies I get at this store. The orders are ready when I arrive even though I order using my Papa Murphy's app and placed my order 15 minutes before arriving at the store. The orders are always correct and the staff is friendly and helpful.“

“The real deal. It’s easy to agree that MO’s has world famous clam chowder. It is so good. The fish and chips was some of the best I’ve had as well. Just right. Service was fast and friendly. Made it a destination to visit while in Newport, OR and you should too.“

“I recently dined here and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The highlight of my meal was undoubtedly the **Mongolian Beef**. The beef was incredibly tender, cooked to perfection, and the sauce had the perfect balance of sweetness and savory flavors. Each bite was a delight, with the green onions adding a fresh crunch that complemented the dish beautifully.
The **Hot and Sour Soup** was another standout. It had just the right amount of heat and tanginess, with a rich, flavorful broth that was both comforting and invigorating. The ingredients were fresh, and the soup was packed with tofu, mushrooms, and bamboo shoots, making it a hearty and satisfying starter.
Lastly, the **Szechuan Shrimp** was a awesome. The shrimp were plump and juicy, and the Szechuan sauce had a wonderful depth of flavor with a spicy kick that was just right. The dish was garnished with crisp vegetables that added a nice texture contrast and enhanced the overall taste.
The service was prompt and friendly. Whether you're a fan of spicy food or just looking for a delicious meal, This is a must-visit. I can't wait to return and try more of their menu!“

“The atmosphere is classic, rugged in a playful way and chill like mom's molasses. The drinks are gourmet across the board, but the clam chowder is the best I've ever had. The crew is kind, their service is sweet, and the space itself is hard to beat.

“I’ve Eaten Here Several Times & Always Get Great Service, Food & The Employees Are Always Very Friendly & More Then Willing To Help. I’ll Continue To Eat Here For Many Many Years. In My Opinion, Better Then Pizza Hut & Round Table.“
“Solid four star stop. This is the distinguished Rogue brewery HQ, It is a very industrial spot, you enter weaving through large brewery equipment. There is an upstairs 21+ bar, and full restaurant. It gives off local business, 90's, pirate crowsnest vibes. Great view over the Newport harbor if you can snag a window seat.
What gets the extra star is the merch and beer ship. We've been here 4 times. Every time the have cases of discounted beer for sale on pallets outside the mech room. Merch is decent but stop here and grab a $15 flat (24 total beers) of some high quality booze. We spend about $100 in booze here each stop and lid up our garage beer fridge. No taxes, and HEAVILY discounted top quality beer.“
