“One of the best values out there for a healthy bowl! I can’t get enough of the #3 Nori bowl. It’s my favorite bowl anywhere!! So tasty, quick, and reasonably priced.“

“This review is based on our last few minutes paying the bill, everything else was top notch. Our group of 4 was chatting when our bills arrived and continued to visit, and our waiter came by to gather abit later and told him it was ready. At this time we Bagan to review our bills to pay one with a card and we were paying cash. As soon as I placed the cash in their bifold and placed on the table another waiter came to the table and stated being just like our waiter and dressed similarly. Worth noting she was about 110 5 foot or so with our waiter at 220 plus and 6ft or so wit a great beard. I stated that our waiter had much bigger feet and a great beard with my wife commenting about our matching hairlines... lol right. No next thing we get is she identifies as law enforcement and proceeds to walk away with an elevated voice "I'll kick beat you down" I turned left to my friend and sain now she wants to wrestle. At this point mist people are watching and then just short of screaming she yells "I'll Kick your A$$". And indeed the entire restaurant is watching on what was going on, I simply went back to visiting with our group not knowing what was next. Not long afterwards our waiter walked by and as he did thank me for the tip. No follow up from management nothing. So probably about 15 minutes after this a few other groups had left and we started our departure and still nothing. Over the years we have been here many times as a couple and a few large groups, after this event not to sure we could return for an enjoyable dining experience with their staff threatening some ones life unprovoked. “To say this company went above and beyond is an understatement. I had a baker last minute no show to a wedding I recently coordinated and within an hour and a half after talking with them we had a new wedding cake and table of desserts. WHICH WERE SUCH A HIT!! Thank you for being the saver in this situation, we appreciate you!!!“

“We have been ordering from Oregon City India Grill at least once a month for close to a year and have dined in and enjoyed the buffet. The food is consistently delicious and very reasonably priced for the portions. Best of all, every employee I've interacted with has been incredibly kind, generous, and clearly delights in making customers happy. “We order at least once a week from Pioneer Family Pizza, and happily so! The food is always perfect, the service is always friendly and respectful. We have been ordering take out once a week for almost 5 years now and I don't see that routine changing! The order is always correct and at a "more than fair" price. The restaurant, while we have never actually sat, is always clean and with a cool vibe! The staff has always been super kind and that reflects on the management and ownership. We couldn't be happier to be life-long fans and customers! Thank you guys for being a part of our favorite day and dinner! You are appreciated!“

“Thai place that's kind of hole in the wall, and it's pretty good. I like to get pad woon sen, the noodles are very delicious. Pineapple fried rice was my previous go to before that, and what is good is that they will substitute brown rice so that's helpful for dietary restrictions. I'm a regular and so occasionally they have surprised me with some small snacks when I get the receipt like a mandarin or a cookie. I liked that :)

“Every time I go there I am blown away at how good the pastries are. Seriously, everything i have ordered were delicious. The flaky crunchy crusts, the cake body, the crumble tops, the fruit or almond fillings, all so good. Probably the best bakery in Portland.“

“It’s not on the online menu, but every time I have been there they have a vegan breakfast sandwich that is to die for… Just Egg, vegan cheese, and sun-dried tomatoes on a ciabatta bun. Then I have a chai made with oat milk to go with it. A perfect way to start the day! They also have some vegan pastries, avocado toast, and a few other things that are vegan. “It's absolutely a 5 star place. This is simply a marvelous find! It is now my go to place to meet up with people and have a cozy visit. They have an entire wall of teas from which to choose, and knowledgeable, informative, and patient staff; very helpful for folks like me who don't know much about teas but are happy to learn. A marvelous ambience; warm and inviting. And in addition to the teas, they have a guitar and a piano, if you want to play, in addition to a couple shelves of family friendly games or books to be used if you're in the mood. It is such a cozy and warm place to be!“

“My son stopped at Bastions this past June 2025 and purchased 2 good sizes of your coffee cake. It was exceptional and so moist. We couldn't put our forks down! We're the ones who purchased a pecan pie from bastions last Christmas and a pumpkin pie last Thanksgiving. Both outstanding! Everything we've tried is excellent including the donuts. “I ate at Verde Cocina en la Perla while at a work conferencein Portland, Oregon. The food was so delicious that I build my entire birthday around eating there! I live in Olympia, Washington. It is over an hour drive but I will keep doing it every few months. I had Arro as my bartender and server both times. He treats you like FAMILY, and this place IS family owned. I even was introduced to the creator of the Horchata French Toast dish. It is so good I cry happy tears thinking about it. Please visit for brunch and order it, you will NOT be sad about it. I don't even use syrup on the French toast, because the Horchata sauce is so so good on its own. The chillequilles are so so good with eggs OR tofu. Arro was awesome in helping us select desserts...the flan is so dang good, and it is #vegan! My wife and I are #vegetarian, but when I went with a coworker, he said that the meat dishes are "fire." I had a drink both times, first was the mango margarita. Tastes fresh and delicious! Had the perfect amount of tequila but tasted like juice...😈 I have also ordered the Paloma. I can't tell which one is my favorite!!! Anyways, do yourself a favor and order. Trust me.“

“We absolutely loved having our 55-person wedding at Bar Carlo. The owner Mel is at the same time very supportive and very low-key, which made for a smooth planning process and day-of event. The space is gorgeous, and has multiple connected wings, which allowed for the the party to morph seamlessly over the night from barside cocktail hour to outdoor patio ceremony to dinner buffet to dance floor. The space is already a beautifully decorated artwork, and Mel lets you decide how to arrange the space for your event, but you can also bring your own decorations/sound system/llama and she can handle those additions easily. The food and drinks were delicious too, and Mel was able to accommodate our entirely vegan and gluten-free menu without hesitation. Overall we loved the unique-ness, flexibility and good vibes of the space and the people of Bar Carlo, and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a cute and fun space for their wedding or other event. -Nicola & Lou“
