“I come from the other end of the state once a year, I don’t have this option at home and really look forward to it. I love the food. I will say that this year will be the last time to your cart. The gentleman that took my order was a dick. I started by saying hello, only to be stared back at… ordered, to only be told my total… order ready, picked it up and said thank you, response was to have back turned to me as he walked away.. I’m not sure what I did to piss this p**** off, but I don’t like your food enough to deal with it anymore. “No soup for you!”“

“We ordered the fried chicken, summer salad, hummus with burnt beef tips and the corn ribs. Everything was unbelievably delicious. The summer salad in particular was refreshing and different. I can not recommend this place enough.“

“Mediterranean food place just under new management as of June 2026. Waiter explained that he is altering dishes to be more authentically Syrian and Iraqi. I enjoyed his enthusiasm. And everything in the veggie combo. The falafel and dolmades were perfect, tasty but not greasy. The okra soup was fun to try as I don't ever see that on the menu.“

“The Gyro House in Southeast Portland is nothing short of fantastic. It was originally recommended to me from a friend and I will admit it is exactly as he said it was. A fantastic inner city restaurant with excellent Mediterranean offerings.
Nothing can be bad when you have chicken. Shawarma.“

“We’ve been coming for years. We absolutely love the food. The portions are big, the quality is high and the prices are right! The gyro is exceptional, but give other stuff a try. The Greek salad dressing they whip up from scratch is addicting! Sorry, we ate the gyros before I could take a picture!

“Don’t miss this yummy cart in the back corner! If you like a lot of sauces, this is your place. I got the lamb plate and it came with hummus, tzaziki and two other sauces. They have gluten free pita too. It was a lot of food too. And there’s some tables to eat at.

“Wow. I got the lamb gyro with some falafel in it... and this was probably the best gyro I ever had. I got the spicy version and the tzatziki totally balanced it out - not too spicy, just flavorful. The lamb was tender and the falafel was moist and crunchy.

“We had our first meal in Oregon at Gyro Grill. What an amazing way to start our vacation! Food was cooked to order and so delicious. Gyro plate, chicken kebab pita w fries gyro burger and a bubble tea. Both the tzatziki and hummus seemed like they were made on the spot.“

“Amazing flavors for the egg plant Masala and Lamb saag that I ordered. Medium heat was still pretty spicy. Better value than at a restaurant. Hummus could use more garlic, but overall- absolutely delicious. Last Saturday of the month features an open mic in this tiny park.“

“I was in Portland for work and someone recommended this place to me, I’m from Michigan so my food expectations are pretty high but this spot honestly blew me away, the food was so good and easily one of the best meals I had while I was there, everything tasted fresh, full of flavour, and just really well done, Omar and Saif were super friendly and made the whole experience enjoyable, really glad I checked it out and I’d definitely come back, wish we had something like this in Michigan!“

“I love love love getting food from this place , I work all the time and rarely do I go see my friends so the few things I can enjoy life is getting food with DoorDash or by myself, it’s affordable it’s worth it, it’s filling. Not only does this place help me get whatever I’m feeling for the day but there’s a mix of options that’s like burger and fries but also shawarma if that’s what I want, they have Philly cheesesteaks duh and hotdogs and bro everything !!! I love it. The food comes hot, fresh, yummy ! Thank you guys!“

“Have been here twice and you can’t go wrong with the lamb & chicken Saj with spicey garlic sauce. It’s large enough to split with someone. Also, must have an order of their hummus and pita; the pita is very soft and puffy…delicious! My only suggestion would be to give two pieces of pita instead of one with the hummus given the $8 price tag. I paired it with a wonderful Vietnamese stout…also delicious! 😋 I always be back for more!!“
