Von Ebert Brewing Reviews
Awesome pizza, great selection of beer AND the staff is fantastic!! Will definitely go back sometime soon!!
They really messed up my plan. I figured I'd eat half the pizza, and save the other half for lunch the next day. I ended up taking the whole pizza home...in my belly! The pizza was the perfect combination of a gourmet pizza and a good ole fashioned New York pizza. Nice crisp crust, but not too crunchy. Just excellent! Great staff and environment as well!
I live in the neighborhood, and used to go in frequently. The last time we were in was 1/17/20, when we witnessed 3 out of the 4 staff not observing food safety practices. They all were touching their hair, their face, and not washing their hands. The worst- observed one guy wipe his mouth and nose with his hand, then he started working on the dough with his bare hands...he did not wash his hands. Disgusting!

Von Ebert Brewing is a neighborhood restaurant known for its pizza, salads, and pub-style ambiance. Customers often praise the delicious pizza, especially the Hawaiian pizza, and the friendly, attentive staff who go above and beyond to enhance the dining experience. The atmosphere features great music, creating a lively pub vibe, yet some reviews mention that the space can feel surprisingly intimate and quiet during lunch, making it a good spot for conversations.
The menu includes popular items like the margarita pizza, Kale salad, and kale Caesar, which is served with dressing on the side. The dough for the pizza is generally crispy and chewy, and the food is often described as tasty and satisfying. However, some dishes receive mixed reviews; for example, pretzel bites were criticized for their overly crispy texture, and the herbs sprinkled on the pizza before serving were noted to taste like dried grass, possibly indicating they were old.
Service experiences vary. While many find the staff friendly and accommodating, others report issues with line management and wait times for carry out, along with some snarky comments from staff. The restaurant offers plenty of seating, though some customers feel that a few smaller tables would be beneficial. Overall, Von Ebert Brewing is appreciated for its good food and welcoming environment, making it a popular neighborhood spot despite occasional service hiccups.
