“Oh my goodness! What an absolutely sweet spot for casual, affordable, and immensely delicious food! I loved the falafel so much that I went back two days in a row. And the owners are the sweetest people, so warm and cute - which makes sense because the whole environment is warm and cute. I am gluten-free and dairy free, and my food needs were accommodated with care and understanding. I can't wait to go back and bring friends!“

“I don't even know how to put into words how amazing the food is here. This is by far the best gyro in Portland – probably in the entire Northwest. It's exploding with flavor, insanely delicious, and the portion size is excellent – they do not skimp. The price is VERY reasonable and the service is excellent and very friendly as well. The recent revamp into Midtown Beer Garden also turned this into a wonderful, cozy place to enjoy your food. Cannot recommend more highly.“

“First-timers today. We ordered the Big Lamb Gyro, dolmas and french fries, and are very happy to recommend this place. Portions were large and the food was extremely fresh, but the thing that impressed me and raises Omar’s versions above other similar places was his seasoning. Subtle, not overpowering, but distinctive. Dolmas touched with just enough lemon, gyros well-balanced with tzatziki, hot sauce and some other flavors I couldn’t quite identify, subtle flavoring of the lamb. I was prepared for a pretty standard, ho-hum gyro, but this was much more. Worth a return trip.“
“I've eaten here multiple times. Some of the very best Arabic food in SE Portland, and the tastiest burgers in the Montavilla neighborhood! The owner is not only an exceptionally kind & friendly person, he's passionate about the quality of the food!“

“Had the best experience in Portland. Got to talk to a legit Lebanese and taste Lebanese food. Being from a small town in Idaho and getting to experience this was amazing. Service was awesome, food was even better than amazing, would reccomend this place to anyone! Thanks“

“We had the spanikopita, chicken shawarma platter, and baklava. The food was extremely flavorful and well-seasoned. The baclava was probably the best version of the dish we have tried anywhere. The atmosphere was casual and pleasant though the door alarm was quite loud and became annoying for those of us sitting by it.“

“This is such a fun place! the owner and staff made my daughter and I feel very welcome, including her Med alert dog. Their food was tasty and the Bellydancing show was great fun and very entertaining. The place was packed but yet they managed to serve everyone with a big smile. Thank you Aladdin's Cafe. I will definitely be back.“

“Wow, such amazing food! Probably 12 tables inside and a few outside. We brought our 1½ year old son. There were two highchairs. I'd say the me u was kid friendly in that most kids live chicken and rice. But our guy loved everything he ate and so did we. Will be recommending to friends and returning. Friendly staff. Good cocktails.
Kid-friendliness: Two highchairs. Food wasn't overly spicy. No kids menu but definitely accessible for the adventurous eater.“

“I hardly ever eat vegetarian but I ordered a vegetarian chili which was surprisingly good and filling and inordinately cheap at $7 a bowl. The atmosphere was a bit strange as it was a fairly large restaurant with almost nobody there so it felt somewhat deserted and lonely.“

“I recently attended an event catered by Kabob and was delighted by the variety and quality of the dishes they provided. The choices I made were all vegetarian, but from the comments I over heard everyone enjoyed their non-vegetarian meals as much as I did my plant based one.“

“So disappointed... That I didn't know about this place sooner!! Last night my husband told me he had NEVER eaten a gyro. I knew I had to correct this immediately. So, I started looking for gyros near me. Now, since he's never tried one, I didn't want him to have a bad first experience that would put him off of them forever since I enjoy them so much. I chose this establishment based on very high google reviews (5 stars) and because it's so close to where we live (5 mins). This place has gone beyond expectations! The food is amazing! Perfect blend of delicious spices and ingredients. HUGE amount of food. It was so delicious that I scarfed it down so fast I got sauce up my nose. I'm so happy that we found this little gem. We will be eating here regularly from now on. Thank you, Gyro Grill Kabob!!! ❣️“
“I came here with my friend last night and it was bomb. I had the chicken shawarma and it was heavenly, and a huge amount of food. Certainly get what you pay for. I definitely recommend this place and plan on going back to try the Portland burrito and some of the appetizers!“

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Gyro Bistro, located in SE Portland's new WonderLove, featuring a three-story bar and food cart pod, is a true gem! From the moment you arrive, the welcoming atmosphere and friendly food cart staff set the tone for a fantastic dining experience.
The gyros are absolutely phenomenal, but don't miss out on the baba ghanoush and grape leaves – they are simply to die for! The baba ghanoush is creamy and flavorful, while the grape leaves are perfectly seasoned and tender.
The food is fresh, delicious, and generously portioned. With reasonable prices and top-notch service, Gyro Bistro is a must-visit.
Highly recommended for anyone strolling through SE Portland down the road from OMSI!“

“Just dropped in for the first time. Got the lamb mezza platter. Amazing! The tabbouleh is wonderfully herbaceous, the falafel is produced in-house and fantastic! Every bite was a wonderful experience of flavor and texture! Full, and very, very, very satisfied. Can't wait for a return visit!“

“I stop here every time I'm in Portland. Fresh, delicious and authentic food. Falafel is nice and light. Hummus and tzaziki are so tasty. I love the Mezze Plate because you get a sample of a lot! This food truck is outside of Level Beer, what a great combo!!“

“I am a big fan of this place, and I think they're one of the highest tier choices available. I often come in and order via Uber Eats. I ordered the chicken shawarma fries earlier this week, and the fries were delivered piping hot and fresh. I also like the panini style chicken shawarma wrap. My girlfriend likes the falafel, grape leaves, and she was very impressed by how big the shawarma salad was.
Overall, this place delivers quality food with fair portions. The food always hits the spot, and I recommend you give this place a try if you're curious.
I don't usually dine in, but I have no qualms with the interior. Everything is very standard for a local restaurant. Everything is clean, and the service is always nice and appreciative of the business.
I always try to make an effort to be a patron at businesses where the staff makes an active effort to engage with their customers.
Vegetarian options: Definitely options for leaf eaters.
Parking: Plenty of space in the plaza for super easy parking.
Kid-friendliness: Very standard for a restaurant.“

“Came at around 10pm on a Wednesday night and it was dead. We ordered a kebab wrap and a kebab gyro. Portion was extremely generous and flavor was great! Kebab tasted well-seasoned and was cooked well. Both orders came with fries which were good as well, albeit the oil tasted slightly old. Knocking off 1 star for service due to the food taking a while to be ready (we waited about 20 minutes) and 1 star off atmosphere due to the plaza feeling pretty sketchy at night. Definitely recommend dropping by during the daytime!“

“One of my favorites in Metro area since I moved here. Very professional and friendly people. I really do like their foods. Had a great experience ! They have delicious gyros (I love their lamb gyro). The tabouli is amazing as well! Also they have delicious Hummus that I love. If you want to try the Mediterranean food such as gyro , felafel, hummus, and other stuff, do not miss this place!“

“The last time my wife and I ordered from Gyro House, I wasn't even writing for Yelp yet, meaning I shamefully didn't give this place the incredible praise that it deserves. There is no shortage of Mediterranean food options in Portland, from restaurants to street carts, but this one stands out among most of the rest, for several reasons, all of which I was reminded this last weekend. Here's the short list:
* Easily the best babaghanooj I've had anywhere. No contest. There's an "edge" to it that is not easily described - spiced by not spicy. Trust me on this one.
* Non-awful falafels; these ones are actually soft and moist, and not the hard, dry kind you get elsewhere.
* Kafta kabobs that are grilled perfectly, giving it that rugged, savory char flavor.
* Flavorful tzatziki drizzled in correct proportion, without making everything soggy.
* Fantastically tart, mouth-tingling hummus that has you coming back for more, again and again!
In fact, the only point on which I would knock them is the sadly deficient number of included pita bread pieces: two is simply not enough for a two-person vegetarian mezza platter!
Out of all the tzatziki-slingers in the area, Gyro House is the best for a quick, grab-and-go Mediterranean meal that competes, and defeats, just about every other competitor. I could eat this five days in a row and not get tired of it...and I am sorely tempted to head back there again tonight! Lord help me!
Parking: Small attached lot.“

“Step aside, flavorless dinners! ?? The delightful E'Njoni cafe has danced its way into my heart with a symphony of Ethiopian delights. Their bountiful veggie feast had me dancing the injera waltz with every scrumptious bite. Who knew ten veggies could tango on my taste buds so harmoniously? ???
The owners are the ultimate culinary matchmakers, pairing kind hospitality with every request, question, and special need. If service were a veggie, they'd be a perfect ten!
Now, let's raise a glass to the gluten-free injera, pride of the menu! ?? Fear not, gluten-sensitive foodies; this menu has your back (and stomach) covered.
Between bites, we marveled at the mesmerizing art pieces gracing the walls. If only every restaurant had such an eclectic gallery to entertain our eyes while our mouths savored the cuisine.
In short, dining at E'Njoni cafe is like attending the most flavorful family reunion ever: welcoming, flavorful, and endlessly delightful. My taste buds give it a well-deserved standing ovation! ???“
