Been coming to Occidental on/off since Spring 2015 and it's one of my favorite places to be.

I visited Occidental for the first time as part of the entertainment for their Oktoberfest 2025. The owners and staff are very friendly, and I was impressed how they made great use of the space they had as a lot of people showed up to enjoy the beer, food, and festivities! Every kid who got a balloon creation from me and their families looked like they were having a great time, and I made my first balloon of a man wearing Lederhosen. Good vibes here and good service!

Occidental Brewing Company is a popular brewery in Portland, known for its exceptional beer and lively atmosphere. The brewery features a pleasant interior space and a nice-sized patio, making it a great place to relax and enjoy. It offers an outstanding Oktoberfest celebration, delightful trivia nights, and a breathtaking view of the St. Johns Bridge, attracting both locals and tourists. Visitors can have a beer and play some of their board games, with a dog-friendly outdoor area where pets are welcome (though not inside). Food can be ordered and picked up from the Wursthaus next door, providing a pleasant experience. The staff are friendly, and the music selection adds to the enjoyable environment. While the brewery mainly offers beer, outside food is allowed, making it a versatile spot for gatherings or casual visits.
