Checked out this lovely little Oaxacan place last weekend and had one of the best mole and nopalito (cactus) dish in a while.My party ordered a black bean and nopalito stuffed blue corn tortilla and a customized nopalito mole plate.Everything with the salsas tasted so delicious and fresh. We asked the cashier for recommendations on our first visit to Tierra Del Sol. He recommended the mole enchiladas and the tlayuda. Both were excellent. The mole enchilada came with two chicken enchiladas with a zesty mole sauce for $14.75. The tlayuda comes with your choice of two meats. Great Oaxacan food in Portland. The last time I had Oaxacan was when I was in LA. It seems to be a small family-run stall within a small building and the food is authentic and tasty. We got the mole plate and substituted the protein with nopalito (cactus) and added both queso fresco and melted cheese.
