We recently discovered El Toto Taqueria, and I can’t say enough good things about it!

From the moment we arrived, owners Evelyn and Louis were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. And they can COOK!

Everything was wonderfully fresh and full of flavor. The guacamole was some of the best I’ve had in ages — fresh, delicious, and a very generous portion. I had the steak and eggs, which were cooked perfectly, and the smashed Yukon potatoes were crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious.

You can tell there is real care and pride going into the food here. Great people, excellent food, generous portions, and the kind of locally owned restaurant you really want to see succeed.

El Toto Taqueria is definitely going on our “come back again and again” list. If you’re in Salem, give Evelyn and Louis a try — you won’t be disappointed! ❤“

“I feel so lucky to live near Monarca because it is by far my favorite spot in town! They make the best breakfast burritos, but emphasis on their veggie breakfast for actually including yummy veggies. Most places will give you a burrito with egg, potato, and cheese if you don’t want meat. I’ve tried many other items and never have had anything bad. 10/10 recommend + their friendly service is an added bonus!“

“Grandma’s is just a little food truck. She has a picnic table outside that you can sit at. I chose to sit in my car and eat. It’s right behind the Pilot truckstop off of I-5. She offers breakfast lunch and dinner and will customize your burrito. However you want it. It’s a limited menu but very delicious. Don’t forget to tip grandma she deserves it!“

“We have eaten at Baja Fresh in Salem for several years. The food is always fresh and tastes excellent. The staff is very friendly. We love their salsa bar. It's full of different kinds of fresh salsa to choose from. Our favorite is their pico and mango salsa.“

Very affordable. They were huge, and excellent quality. Did I happen to say huge? Cheese, potatoes, eggs, your choice of breakfast meats and cooked to perfection. I added refried beans, crema, onions, cilantro and the salsa that came with chips...excellent! The waitstaff were friendly and helpful to non Latinos. Would I eat here again? Absolutely 💯!!! “I have been to Azuls multiple times now and the tacos never disappoint. There are so many varieties and flavors. The service is always good and I appreciate the vibes in there. I’m not a drinker but there is La familia cider attached to it and I have tried their non alcoholic ciders before.

“This is easily our favorite sit-down Mexican restaurant in the Salem area. We haven’t found a single thing on the menu we don’t like, and the carne asada is absolutely perfect.

As someone from Southern California, I can be a little picky about Mexican food, and this place actually hits the mark. Good flavors, great portions, and they even have horchata, which automatically earns bonus points.
