“I ordered shawarma cattering 2 weeks ago and also today we had our brunch with falafel sandwiches from there and it is super delicious and amazing tastes. This shawarma and falafel spot is a true gem. The shawarma is perfectly seasoned, juicy, and packed with flavor, and the falafel is crispy on the outside, soft and fresh on the inside—just the way it should be. Everything tastes homemade and made with care. The portions are generous, the ingredients are fresh, and the sauces really bring everything together. On top of that, the staff is welcoming and kind, which makes the experience even better.Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic, flavorful Middle Eastern food. “This is such a fun place! the owner and staff made my daughter and I feel very welcome, including her Med alert dog. Their food was tasty and the Bellydancing show was great fun and very entertaining. The place was packed but yet they managed to serve everyone with a big smile. Thank you Aladdin's Cafe. “I come here quite often to eat lunch. I like to get the lamb and rice meal or chicken falafel. I am only able to eat half of the food or i am stuffed. They always have treats made by them for sale and i always grab them. The kids love them since they have 0 sugar added and they use dates! Remember to get the sauces added when asked. Spicy, which is really good and not overly spicy.“

“Delicious. Syrian/Lebanese - the flavors were smoother/softer than I’m used to. The pita was soft, closer to a fluffy flour tortilla, and the sandwiches we had that came in a pita were actually wrapped in a trifolded pita and pressed like a panini. The felafel were big and delicious. The baklava was in a orange blossom syrup and was perfect. The service was personable and on point. It’s on an active block of N Williams, so it’s a fun area to walk around before/after. Highly recommended.“

“This review is going to be very specific to the time in which it was written. It is November of 2025, snap benefits have been cut off for hundreds of thousands of families and individuals across the country due to the government shutdown, and the world is, generally speaking, kind of a nightmare.

This is one of the local restaurants that is providing free meals to people who have lost SNAP benefits. The meal I got today was a burrito with two sides of salsa, the burrito itself was hearty and filling but not overwhelming in terms of seasoning- nutritionally dense but not overwhelming for the palate, so anybody with any level of spice tolerance could enjoy this burrito, and I believe that that is by design and also an incredibly compassionate and wonderful thing. The mild salsa is delicious and flavorful, and the habanero salsa is surprisingly sweet with a heat creeps up on you. I would highly recommend it, I like spicy stuff, if you don't like spicy stuff, maybe don't follow my recommendation, I'm not your mom, make your own choices.

I want to be abundantly clear that I love and deeply appreciate what this restaurant is doing before I say the next part because it is going to sound like criticism and I don't mean it as criticism, just as a heads up for other people in my position. I got food from them today- I tried to get food yesterday, but I was turned away because I did not have my wallet with me so I could not show my EBT card- I left home without my wallet, and the only person at fault for that is me, but I don't want other people to have the same experience. So I am writing this review in hopes that other people who have lost their SNAP benefits will know to be extra sure they bring their card with them, because The experience of coming into a restaurant and asking for a SNAP meal and being turned away, while entirely my own fault and the consequence of my poor planning and my foolishness... It is an experience I don't want anyone else to have because it is such a small thing but it was embarrassing and demoralizing and that is not the restaurant's fault at all, I cannot stress strongly enough that this was my own fault, but that didn't make it hurt any less. With all the very loud, very public commentary coming from every direction from hateful people about the recipients of SNAP benefits, getting turned away because I didn't have my card was the straw that broke the camel's back and I pulled over and cried on my way home because it all became too much for a minute there. Telling people to bring their cards with them is my way of trying to prevent anyone else from feeling that particular hurt.

Thank y'all, Laughing Planet, for everything you're doing. The burrito was the perfect portion size, and when I am back on my feet, I will be back to try more of your menu because that habanero salsa absolutely slaps. I will be dreaming of it until then.“

“Our family absolutely loves gyros but nobody likes theirs exactly the same. My kid doesn’t like any sauces for example. It is really nice to see a fine dining establishment that actually caters to that need!
I love gyros! Every time I see a place that sells them, I go in to test things out. The gyros here are far superior to any I have had to date!

So, I started looking for gyros near me. Now, since he's never tried one, I didn't want him to have a bad first experience that would put him off of them forever since I enjoy them so much.
