“We come to Boba Cat Tea House pretty often since it’s close to where we live, and it’s become one of our go-to spots for boba.

I usually get matcha, which has really good flavor. Last time I tried it with strawberry compote added, and it was super yummy. My partner usually gets tea with lychee and really enjoys it as well. When we get boba, the pearls are consistently just right. Soft, chewy, and flavorful. The brown sugar milk tea is especially delicious.

I typically order 50% sweetness, which is perfect for me, while my partner prefers 100%, and both options work well depending on taste.

The shop itself is very cute inside and a great place to hang out, though we often grab and go since it’s so convenient for us.

“I love this place! They also have another location in Beaverton that I enjoy, but this one feels more spacious and has a cuter vibe. The shop is comfortable, inviting, and a great spot to grab a drink.
I still have so many drinks on the menu to try, but I always end up ordering my favorite the strawberry matcha with brown sugar boba. It's delicious every time. I also love that you can customize the sweetness level to your preference or just leave it at the standard setting.
The service is always wonderful, and the barista who helped me was the sweetest! Friendly service and great drinks keep me coming back.

Since the tea shop is based from Taiwan, their selection differs from that of the traditional Japanese tea shop menus. Here you will find not only black tea and milk options, but also Oolong, lemon tart, sparkling citrus, thick milk and more! They often have samples in shop, which by the way visually is a beautiful eco-modern interior with a frutiger aero almost aesthetic.
They use their own patented ‘tea espresso press’ which basically flash brews loose leaf tea like an espresso machine would. The taste is incomparable to most tea shops because they are incredibly high quality and flavorful! Any person who appreciates real attention to detail in brewed teas will likely notice and appreciate it. The drinks are also very customizable and come in cute little cardboard cuppies that have handles to carry your drink!
Definitely worthy of high praise as one of the best tea shop chains I’ve had the pleasure of visiting. 💕“

I have some allergies with MSG, so here in BEP there is no MSG in the food. My experience there was really good. The place is very cute with a little arcade machine, it is a little bit dirty and needs some touch up paint but whatever lol. we ended up ordering The Japanese Einspeinner matcha it, the Dirty Tiramisu Latte, Pineapple Passion fruit drink, and a Blackberry donut. First of The match just tasted like Milk we got it remade but wasn't good still were assuming Low quality match or bad portions.(Workers said owner swaps matcha brands frequently.) The tiramisu was good tasted like a chocolatey Coffee with cinnamon pretty nice. The pineapple passion fruit had good flavor all around. The Blackberry Donut was good but small amount of blackberry drizzle.

“The food is excellent and fresh. I haven’t eaten anything that wasn’t amazing! I am a huge matcha tea fan. I’ve tried matcha lattes at various spots around Portland and no one makes them as good as Olia Poke! Their matcha is not too sweet and the bright, fresh green flavor of the tea is the star. So many places the matcha flavor is absent (green milk) or it’s way too sweet. Olia strikes that balance perfectly. Love the staff too, they are so friendly!“

“I was walking over to it after work and nearly missed it but I’m glad I didn’t. Now I can’t really comment on their Sichuan food as I didn’t order it but their Mongolian beef was really tender. It was in my opinion perfectly cooked and so were the onions it was cooked with. The sauce wasn’t too thick or thin, it was really well balanced with a subtle sweetness and the right amount of spice. The cucumber salad was super fresh and not mushy at all. Had I gone with a friend this would have been a really affordable although by yourself the lunch special is much cheaper. Still I had a lovely time and enjoyed the music they were playing. Staff was lovely, and I’ll be coming back.“

“My tea was great but it was a bad experience as a person who is hard of hearing.
The employees were very soft spoken.
I misheard a question and instead of repeating themselves to fix the miscommunication, I got a response that made me feel like they didn't want me in there anymore. I also didn't hear when they called my name (if they did? Again, I didn't hear) and allowed my drink to just sit on the counter until I looked up to see it waiting for me. I was the only one in the store at the time.

“It was my first time in Oregon and I came across this spot as my last meal on the way out. We ordered the beef and salmon bentos. The beef was tender, vegetables cooked perfectly, had a nice kick to it, and the sauce went great with the purple rice. The portion of the salmon was generous and it was moist with a nice crust. I was surprised that the dressing on the salad (carrot I believe?) was also very good. They offer a wide variety as there are a lot of entrees to choose from on their menu. Clean interior with options to sit inside and outside. Highly recommend if you want a great tasting, casual meal.“

“This store is an absolute staple to the Goose Hollow neighborhood. When I was working as an evening line cook, they were one of the last places open where I could get amenities and treats post shift. They are veteran and family owned, the staff are friendly, happy to help, and detail oriented. There is a variety of food and drinks, including but not limited to Korean ramen cups, Japanese Lager, famous Krispy Krunchy Chicken (better than Popeyes), Ben and Jerry’s ice cream and more. The management holds exceptionally high standards of service and keeps a very clean store despite living in the heart of Downtown. They take EBT (cold food), cash, and card. Additionally they also offer money order services and lotto. This store has your back!“

“So, I went to this chocolate café called Anna’s Chocolate Café and Bubble Tea. It’s a small shop inside a larger building. When you walk in, it’s right by the escalator. The chocolates looked a bit odd, not very appetizing. They were selling them for $3 to $4 each. I ended up buying two of them, just because I felt awkward leaving after saying hi to the person working there. They tasted just like regular chocolates you buy at the store, which I wasn’t impressed with. But if you’re interested, check it out.“
