“We’ve been wanting to try this place for a couple months now and finally made it in. The owner was super friendly and the food was delish! There’s a handful of options available, and they have a bunch of sauces to pick from. I got the Maui Girl plate. I definitely recommend!“

“Expect to see long lines. I came to get the garlic chicken and the hamburger steak the garlic chicken however was flavored exceptionally the rice was great along with the macaroni salad however the chicken seem like it was kind of old and a reheated it but it seemed like it was okay the hamburger steak was good however I feel like they need to season the actual steak the gravy was flavored exceptionally well especially when you eat it with the rice but yeah 4 out of 5 stars that did a great job“

Full disclaimer: i used a gift card, which took $15 off the price.. so part of my pleasure is in getting a huge discount AND Grubhub was offering a “7 free potstickers with purchase of Bulgogi plate”. If I’d spent $22 on just the bulgogi plate I’m not sure I would be as pleased or be writing this review… but as it was, my particular situation and price? Superb! Did come with a side salad.. decent portion of bulgogi … but like I said I paid seven bucks“

“Amazing food. This was my first time. I got combo plate with Hurricane and Korean fried chicken. Also got Pokie combo with Chiccaron chicken. I highly recommend and will be definitely going back with family. The owner is awesome.“

“A real gem in the university district! Having been to Hawaii and eaten authentic plate lunch I can assure you the other reviews are incorrect. The restaurant is clean and spacious. The food is prepared well, tastes excellent and is priced very reasonably for the large portions. Something hard to find in the area. Another rarity is the owners take the time to get to know their customers. You can expect to be asked if you want "the usual" if you dine more than a few times. It is refreshing to see hard working small business owners still making it work.“

“We drove out to Beaverton to try these poke bowls for the first time and it exceeded my expectation. The rice was perfectly seasoned. There was a nice selection of toppings. The only suggestion I might make is that you should offer a brown rice option. I also would like to see sweet chili sauce as an option for sauces. The meal was really nice.“

“This place was phenomenal! Very fresh, delicious quality ingredients. I got a make your own bowl, portions are pretty large. When I came in for a pick up order the cashier/team member was welcoming and kind. He ended up offering me a cup of the miso soup! It was a fantastic addition to my bowl. “Great Hawaiian dishes. Kalua pork was a big hit with our group. The tuna poke was fresh and just like the mom and pop shops on islands. Will be back for more. Update went a 2nd time 2 days later and food was even better than the 1st go round.“

“I love musubi and this place does not disappoint! They have a variety but we always walk by in the morning so I get the one with egg. Today, we also got the taiyaki - one with cheese and one with Nutella. They were both soooooo good! I had the one with Nutella and it was so good, nice and warm with a crispy exterior. Aaaaaaand we had a slice of banana bread. Again, delicious and I am a banana bread snob. Highly recommend visiting!“

“The food? Amazing. No complaints there. But downtown Portland just isn’t the most comfortable place to hang out anymore — parking’s tough, and the vibe is kind of... off. If Hawaiian Bros opened in Bend or Redmond, I’d be there all the time. The food deserves a better setting.“
