“THIS IS FOR WINCO TIGARD, NOT A RETIREMENT HOME. I've shopped at this WinCo off and on since it opened up probably 20 years ago? They used to be called Cub Foods. It's a bag it yourself place and their prices were really quite good until about 2 years ago. I also shop at Kroger / Fred Meyer, Safeway, Trader Joe's, and Natural Grocers. There was a man comparing prices at Safeway one day when I was shopping there about a month ago. It was his job to compare prices at Safeway for the same items at other area grocerý store, I almost fell over when I heard who came in first for low prices! It was Safeway! I still do the majority of my shopping at TraderJoe's and Safeway. They bag the groceries for me. WinCo does not unless you ask them to. WinCo's prices on the whole were higher on many many items than Safeway's prices. It was hard to believe but he showed me his little handheld meter for lack of a better word that did a price comparison/contrast for area grocery store.
I almost fell over when he showed me that Safeway had lower prices than the other area grocery stores! WinCo has prices that are very similar or a penny above or Penny below the prices at Kroger / FredMeyer. There are so few clerks in the store and it's really hard to find one to help you. For these prices that WinCo is using on their items they should automatically bag the orders. Just my opinion, folks!“

“Decided to go here because of our Chase Sapphire and now we would go back without the additional cash back. The food was so good and everything blended together so well. The duck for 2 dish was phenomenal and even though we were full we could have kept eating. Definitely recommend this place.“

“Stopped by on a whim to make sure I tried some Oregon wines while I was visiting Portland. I had a wonderful time and tried some delicious wines. Met the owners who were as nice as could be. I ordered a flight of three wines and also ordered the olives. the wines were very good, and the olives were so good I had to ask what kinds they were. Seems like a great place to enjoy some wine and food. I wish I could've stayed longer and gone back another time. They also have a bottle shop attached so if you find one you really like you can take it home with you.“

“I wish I'd known about this place sooner! Nice wine selections, delicious snack - the salted rosemary focaccia with tomato jam was terrific! Chanelle and Haru were welcoming hostesses, and the place was a very comfortable place to just hang & enjoy being where I was. I'll definitely be recommending it to friends, and I'm looking forward to my next visit!“

“Grana is quickly becoming one of our favorite spots in Portland. The food is consistently outstanding—every dish feels thoughtful and authentic and their pizzas are so flavorful and light.
But what really sets Grana apart is the service - the staff are always polite, welcoming, and accommodating. One time our son had his bike with him, and they kindly offered to keep it inside for safekeeping (without us even asking!) —small gestures like that show how much they care about their guests.
After our last disappointing experience at the *other* “well-known” pizza place in the neighborhood, we can honestly say we’ll never go back there. Grana has everything we want—amazing food, genuine hospitality, and consistency. This is the Portland pizza place we’ll keep returning to. <3“
“Highly recommended! This place is great!“

“Gawd…Aren’t we spoiled in Portland? Another gem discovered.
This is a meal I will remember for its simple perfection.
Haricot verts served cool with mint, almonds, pickled cherries tossed lightly in chèvre based ‘dressing’. Carrots roasted to perfection with balanced heat and sweetness served over a cloud of whipped chèvre. A meltingly tender boef steak. My idea of a perfect meal. Cocktails were delicious. A memorable sparkling rosé.
Service was impeccable. The ambience, warm, charming and romantic.“

“My good friend Renee and I had an enchanted evening at Domaine Serene where we had the pleasure of trying their ambitious new menu which is now available to the public. The new menu has been crafted in collaboration with iconic, local Executive Chef George Morris, of Bos Taurus and Nomé notoriety, and features creative wine-inspired cuisine with a French bistro flair, and notable Pacific Northwest ingredients. We had been eagerly anticipating the new menu launch event, and it was a memorable and magical experience with every course. Our multi-course dinner was exceptional, and the world class wine pairings were curated with thoughtfulness. Some of our favorite dishes included: Amuse-Bouche // Shigoku Oysters on The Half Shell w/ Blood Orange ‘R’ Rosé Granita, & Yuzu Kosho. Beef Short Rib Bourguignon // Creamy Polenta, Root Vegetables, w/ a Red Wine Jus. For me, the culinary star of the show, and probably one of the best dishes I’ve ever had: The Steamed Foie Gras Wontons A rich, delectable creation framed with a Smoke-Forward Shoyu, and Aromatic; Miyagi Chili Oil, Hints of Mint From the Shiso, and the citrus notes from the lime accentuated the strengths of the dish with a delicate balance. With their exciting new menu, and added team members, now is a great time to go experience the serendipity of Domaine Serene for yourself.“

“So, I went to this place called Forte Portland just to check it out. I ended up getting a coffee, but it was completely silent in there. Not a single person was around, which was kind of relaxing, I guess. There's a piano there, but no one was playing it. And get this, the person working the counter was practically asleep when I walked up. I'm guessing it's not exactly a popular place during the day. Maybe it turns into a nice bar or something later at night.“

“If you're downtown, don't blow it and go somewhere else to get a bottle of wine, or get a sip of something delicious.
This place is a Portland institution, for lack of a better and more casual term.
1) You will find what you need.
2) You will find a selection of local and international bottles with love and expertise that leaves you smiling.
3) You will feel at home. Get a glass here. If you sip wine from the box at home, or if you buy from the crate. It doesn't matter, you belong here.“
“There is a nice selection of tasty wines that will not break the bank, and the wine club is off the hook! The tasting room is bright and welcoming, as is the tasting room team. It’s worth the trip any Friday, Saturday or Sunday.“
“Loved it, fun wines that are less commonly seen but really nicely curated. Staff is awesome, industry vets that really care and are great to chat with and happy to put you into a glass that fits what you’re looking for at the moment. Will absolutely be back.“

“It's always a good experience at Wine & Growl. Amazing drinks and excellent service by Gabriel and Dylan. The food is good, although I would like to see another option or two for vegetarians/pescatarians.. Bring back the salmon risotto? That was incredible!“
“Never judge a book by its cover. This unassuming spot is a true hidden gem. I went for a shared birthday with my girlfriend. We each tried a different 'Fancy Pour' and contemplated the Caviar Service (It's our Birthday), Kaluga roe, creme fraiche, chives, blinis and chips -- did I say It's our Birthday. So had the perfect evening sipping incredible champagne and being decadent because it's our Birthday!
Staff was great and vibe was perfect.“

“They have an excellent staff. It is a great causal place to dine or just have drinks. The food is 5 stars for sure. We have had their Caesar Salad , roasted cauliflower and French fries. They have a great wine selection and it is very fun to sit outside in the sunshine. We are looking forward to ordering dinner as we just have had snacks while we wait for our grandchildren to get out of a class.“

“This place deserves a Google review! My husband took me here for dinner. I’m a former USSR citizen who’s been in the USA for over 30 years now.
I was thoroughly impressed by the food and customer service. The atmosphere was amazing, with a great decor and music that brought back many memories from my childhood.
I ordered the rabbit in the clay pot with potato pancakes, while my husband opted for cabbage rolls. For dessert, we indulged in vareniki.
Derek was an absolute delight! He went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. Despite not being from the country of origin, he did an outstanding job, always checking on us and providing valuable recommendations. Another girl was checking on our table to make sure no dirty dishes and water filled. I am beyond happy that this place exists!“

“Excellent food. Came for a late lunch that wouldn't ruin our dinner and got the ham and butter baguette and the sardines plate. Yummmmm. Fall cocktail was also delicious. They add 20% gratuity (and highlight it for you on the ticket), but do be aware of that when tipping. Have also been for brunch which was awesome.“

““What if you combined a Michelin-starred kitchen with the exclusivity of a yacht club and the parking availability of a Taylor Swift concert?”
Let’s start with the beef tartare, which is less a dish and more a religious experience (Thank you Chef Kenny). It arrives with the confidence of a French runway model and the flavor profile of a Parisian love affair. You’ll question why you ever bothered cooking meat in the first place.
Pair it with a glass of Patricia Green Pinot Noir, which doesn’t just complement the tartare—it writes it poetry, serenades it under moonlight, and proposes marriage by dessert. This is not a wine by the glass; this is a wine by divine intervention.
And then there’s the William Larue Weller bourbon, served neat, as God and Kentucky intended. It’s so smooth it could negotiate world peace, or at least convince you that $$$ for a pour is a reasonable life choice.
The Caesar salad? A crisp, garlicky triumph that could make Julius himself rise from the grave and say, “Et tu, Romaine?” And the steak frites? Let’s just say the fries are so good they should come with a warning label: “May cause spontaneous applause.”
Now, parking. If you’re arriving by car, may the odds be ever in your favor. The lot is a Darwinian battleground where only the most cunning survive. But why drive when you can arrive like Poseidon himself—by boat? Just don’t forget the sacred dock code, lest you be cast adrift like a paddle boarder who dared trespass on the hallowed planks of Mann’s private marina. (Seriously, paddle boarders: this is not your moment.)
The bar program? A fever dream of excellence. The Old Fashioneds are so well-balanced they could walk a tightrope in a hurricane. The mixed drinks are crafted with the precision of a Swiss watchmaker and the flair of a Vegas magician.
In conclusion, Mann’s on the Lake is not just a restaurant—it’s a lifestyle. A delicious, slightly smug, boat-access-only lifestyle. Five stars, assuming you can find a place to park.“

“We love coming here. Wait staff was slightly slow at first, but as things cleared out towards the end the night they became more attentive to us. My guess is they had only a handful of servers left working, that's fine.
The food is excellent. Small plates are certainly small, but you can really tell there's care taken in the food plating/presentation, selection of ingredients, and preparation. The lomo is fantastic and one of us usually has to get it when we go. The cocktails are also well done, with ingredient selection and mixing done in such a way that pairs well with the fare.
Atmosphere is somewhat cozy, romantic, a good place for a nice date night or more intimate occasion. They do have some larger tables for groups, of course.
Overall, would recommend trying if you are looking for excellent South American cuisine in a refined setting.“

“We always have the best time at Pairings! Jeff, the owner, is incredibly knowledgeable and makes wine approachable and fun. He doesn’t just hand you a bottle—he’ll walk you through the flavor profiles, explain the nuances, and even teach you how to enjoy wine properly if you’re new to it (all with zero pretension). The atmosphere is laid-back and unique, but what really makes it unforgettable is how Jeff matches wines to characters from books, TV shows, and movies. It’s quirky, creative, and so entertaining. Between the imaginative pairings, stellar wine selection, and Jeff’s passion for teaching, Pairings is hands down one of the most unique wine bars you’ll ever visit.“

“I came for one beer and left with three new friends, a minor existential crisis, and a T-shirt I don’t remember buying. Civic Taproom is like Cheers, if Cheers had 20+ rotating taps and everyone was slightly more hipster.
The bartender had the beard of a lumberjack and the pour skills of a Michelin-star sommelier. I asked for something “hoppy but emotionally supportive,” and he nailed it. The IPA hugged my soul while whispering, “You’re doing your best.”
Also, shoutout to the bathrooms for being cleaner than my apartment. 10/10 would hide from my responsibilities here again.“

“I’ve been here probably over thirty times and have not had a single bad experience!! It’s an amazing coffee shop, and the people are so nice. I definitely recommend. I usually go with just one other person, and we get our drinks (and sometimes food) in just a few minutes. I’ve gone with two other people before once too, and we still had great, fast service. I love how they have a little shelf of snacks that charge each day, but by the end of the day there isn’t much, so if you want to get little snacks come earlier in the day. They also have free WiFi so it’s great for studying and stuff!“

“Google stated the closing time as 6 pm, but it was 4 pm. However, the barista was still there chatting with some folks. She was happy to make me a latte despite it being well past 5 pm. Sitting on the porch in the sun, I was drawn into a friendly conversation with other guests. The place -- including its bathroom -- were spotless and really friendly. The latte was good.“
