“I was looking for a place that was open and offered good food along with soup. I decided that Uptown Cafe was my best choice and stopped in as a single diner yesterday around 7 PM. I appreciated that they are open until 9 PM as most places around here close at 8 PM and I don't like going to eat at a location that I know is closing up soon. There were a few tables occupied and one server. I looked at their specials which included a creamy mushroom soup! After a short time he came over to seat me and was very affable.I was seated at a nice window seat and decided upon the mushroom soup and their special pot roast. The server came back over to my table and took my order. He apologized for the wait, which in this post-covid era, wasn't much of a wait at all.My soup came out right away, and it was delicious. I was able to enjoy it while waiting for my food. The main course arrived and it was a huge portion size. I ate half of it and had to take the other half home. The pot roast was cooked perfectly, melting off my fork. The entire meal was very reasonably priced and exceeded my expectations. I had not visited here before because the outside and the location gave me the impression it was an average tourist stop along the way to the coast but I could not have been more wrong about that.I will definitely be back again!“
“Decent place, we had lunch here while visiting Astoria and checking out the Goonies Jail and house. Our twin 8 year old boys had the hamburger and PB&J which both come with chips, my wife had the Fish-Wich and I had the Salmon BLT with the Bouy IPA ( which was pretty good), we had curly fries with our sandwiches which was an extra $2 per order, it's not typical restaurant, you go to the counter to order and then a server/expediter brings out your food, refills you have to go up to the counter and they do not have fountain soft drinks it's all in cans or bottles except the iced tea. They have lots of menu options and clean bathrooms, service was good.“
“We dined in for breakfast and the moment we walked through the door, the service was exceptional! Our waitress was so attentive and the Saturday special was delicious and just enough food. Our kiddos got a toy after we ate as well for the treasure box! Definitely a hidden gem.“
“Beautiful atmosphere. We didn’t realize it was on the water until we got sat. Great food, too. We ordered the bistro burger and fish & chips. Burger was our favorite and a must for any burger lover. The staff was also super kind and when there was a hiccup with our order, they promptly fixed it.“

“Craving satisfied! On a lunch break I was in desperate need for a solid burger. I had never tried the Owl’s Nest before, so I felt I needed to make the trip. I was not disappointed the Gyro burger was such a complex combination of exciting and complimentary flavors that I honestly finished my fries first to ensure the burger would be my last bite. 10/10 would recommend!“
“Food was amazing. Honestly really hit the spot and while we had to refrain from ordering while hungry and having the whole menu this was honestly the perfect amount. I had a black currant cider with my meal and it was a great match for the food.My only gripe and why the atmosphere doesn’t get 5 stars is the seating is so scattered. And since we were looking for a place to sit we ended up having to be outside. Thankfully it wasn’t raining but yeah it would have probably made it better if the options for being outside wasn’t only big tables or tables with stools so high you can’t properly eat your food.“
“The service was immediate! Came in on a Saturday night and the food was great. I definitely recommend getting the spinach dip as an appetizer! The atmosphere was laid back and you get a beautiful view of the water as well! I recommend this place if you haven't been!“

“My Son and Dtr-in-Law recently got married and Wahoo Charlie brought his food cart to their property for the wedding.Not only was the food excellent but they turned out a lot of food very quickly. I heard only praise from the guests at the wedding.I loved the Seared Ahi Tuna Salad and his French fries are incredible.“

The atmosphere is cozy in the back of the restaurant, nice and bright in the front. “Updated to add that the owner really went out of her way to make it right. We will give it another try next time we're in town.I'll start by saying that our food was mostly decent save for the burger which was extremely overdone. I don't normally get overly concerned with service but there were a few things that really irked me.First I was sent with my ($85) pickup order with no cutlery. I went back in to ask for it and was handed two forks, one of which the packaging had already been opened and was told that's all they had. Which is unfortunate because 3 of us ordered soup.I also noticed after leaving that I was charged $0.75 for dressing for my salad. I can understand a charge for extra dressing, but I did not ask for extra anything. I was also charged for sauce for chicken strips. I was asked what kind of sauce I wanted for the chicken - no mention of an extra charge.Finally I was charged $3.00 for ordering takeout. Again this wouldn't really be as big of a deal if it was disclosed prior to me arriving to pick up my order.Would not eat here again and would not recommend. Just not worth the price and the hassle.“
“Me and my wife are on our anniversary trip from Washington. We decided to check out this unique restaurant as a mix of curiosity and being hungry after a long day of driving. We were greeted by Tracy right away. She was the best server you could ask for! She was patient with my indecisiveness on the menu (so many great dishes! We ended up getting a few different things) she was genuine and made sure we were taken care of promptly. The cocktails were great! The chowder was fantastic, and the oysters were phenomenal. The crab was fresh and we enjoyed every bit! The gator was good and I was pleasantly surprised at the exotic meats available. I highly recommend this place 11/10. A very unique and inviting atmosphere and you could not ask for better staff. Next time we are in the area we will be stopping in again! Thank you so much for the awesome experience!“
“The restaurant is right by the water. We were there on a weekday so it was very light. We got a table right by the window and we saw some large containers. The scene is really nice. The food is ok. I had a clam chower. It was super creamy and with reasonable amount of clams. My husband had fish and chips and he said it was very good. They also sell merchandise like sweatshirt with Mo's logo on it. They do offer military discount so don't forget to ask.“

“My wife and I were visiting Astoria for the first time - kind of celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. After going to the Bridgewater Bistro and discovering it was closed to the public for a private party, our second choice was T. Paul’s Supper Club - which was right across the street from our hotel. We split the nightly special which was a 6 oz. sirloin steak that came with 4 jumbo prawns cooked any one of 4 ways (we chose the coconut shrimp version), mashed potatoes and broccolini with carrots for the vegetable. And we also added a house salad which ended up being fantastic in it’s own right. The steak, mashed potatoes and vegetables were also fantastic and the shrimp came with an orange marmalade / thai chili sauce (or something) and that was truly out of this world. Then there was the dessert - we split the Chocolate Ganache Cake - a chocolate lava cake with pecans and caramel inside and whipped cream on top with french vanilla ice cream on the side - all drizzled lightly with chocolate and caramel sauce. Hands down the best dessert my wife and I have ever had.The atmosphere was warm and cozy and the service was excellent to boot. What more could you ask for? Nada! 5 stars does not even do justice to the excellence of this restaurant.“

Had to ask another server for refills more than once. Waited forever to get our ticket and she would not come back and get our change. Cierra needs to brush up on her service skills!“
“We are from out of town ( Prescott Az) but enjoyed a great meal for this second visit. Service was great, staff very " customer in", food very tasty and plenty of it. Ribeye done to my requested medium rare, would have liked an anchovie with my Caesar salad and no tomatoes. It the portion was great. We thought the dinner value was very fair for the customer.“

“We just googled a place for breakfast, and Arnie's popped up. We are so glad we tried this place. Huge portions and the food was amazing, especially for the very reasonable prices. The staff was all friendly and accommodating. The place was packed when we arrived on a Sunday morning, but we got a table quickly. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu!“
