“OHH MY, I THOUGHT I REVIEWED THE OWLS' NEST. BEST BURGERS IN THE COUNTY BY FAR!!!!!! My hunnie and I have come hear almost once, if not twice a month ( when we can) since they opened if, I am not wrong. Food is amazingggggg! I tell everyone! Customer service top notch! Family owned and operated!!!!!! Prices you can not beat. For the Taj Mahal quality at the Big M price. NONE of the nasty horrible side effects either. My lover enjoys the Jalapeño bacon burger while I go back and forth between 3 hehe..the bacon, cheese burger, the Chipotle gyro burger, or the Chipotle gyro fries. Ohh my! all ohhh sooooo yummmm.... “Both the hotel and the restaurant were great! We just needed a nice comfortable basic room for a night and they had it! Easy reservation, check in and out all from the phone. And the pub was great! Fish and chips were ON POINT and tuna melt and fish tacos were all really good. Service was excellent. Vibe was super chill compared to Long Beach/Astoria and a great views of all the action at the Harbor, and the sports on the tv inside! Nailed it. Definitely coming back thanks Salt!“

“Super cool tap and tasting room where it is encouraged to sit wherever you please indoors or outdoors, with whatever drink you order and any grub you get from the vendors. I am a gin lover and was able to sample the Painted Lady gin after trying a cocktail featuring it. So good I had to buy a bottle. The pil and cream ale were refreshing and dry as well. Kudos to the bartender! Stop by whether alone or with a group for a good drink and bite.“

“Listen up! This brewery is an experience. They have a merch store, open outside seating with fire pits and a restaurant that is cozy, rustic and modern. A dynamic hard to encompass.
First, their pizza is delicious, full stop. Eat it and you won’t be sorry.
Secondly dogs are allowed, service is perfect, you order at the station and dude… the beer… c’mon, dynamite. I can’t share the best beer because I liked all of the ones I tried.
Third, the guy today at the merch shop was so cool. We were looking around, oggling, smiling and it was a whole vibe. We get to the counter and our service was awesome! No hooplah just laughs and you know this dude was super nice, funny and that made our last stop out of town was a massive send off. Sorry we didn’t get his name! But, shout out to the guy working around 12 ish! You rock dude !!

“Huge shot out to Merry Time Bar. My wife and I have not been able to shoot pool since before COVID-19. This was how we met so it brought back a ton of wonderful memories. Plus the games were only 50 cents. Talk about a deal. We have recently started to play pinball, and this bar is a dream come true. As a new player it was amazing to get a few high scores, and we look forward to the comedy night—as she used to perform in our hometown as an opener for national talent—and, of course, the pinball competitions and special days. A big thank you to the owner. It was an absolute treat to play some of the top games ever made and they were all in good condition. As a small business owner, I understand how difficult it is to run a good company, and this one is top notch. If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and drop in for a wonderful night. I cannot recommend enough!!!“

“My family and I are locals and frequent your restaurant often. We truly enjoy your establishment and want to start by saying we recognize how difficult it is to find and retain good employees these days. We’ve seen many staff members come and go over the years, and we genuinely appreciate the efforts of your current manager (I’m not sure of her name) — she seems to be doing a great job trying to turn things around since COVID. We also remember Becca fondly, as she was wonderful, and there are currently a few employees who consistently provide excellent service.

That said, I wanted to share some ongoing concerns regarding one particular server, Jacob D. This feedback isn’t meant to be unkind, but rather to highlight areas where additional training or support may be needed.

Over multiple visits, we’ve experienced repeated issues such as:
• Orders being incorrect (regular fries served instead of Cajun, Cajun tots replaced with fries, tomato on a burger when requested without).
• Condiments being incorrect (ketchup requested, ranch delivered).
• A split burger order being confused with a single burger order.
• Very long wait times before being greeted or offered water (around 25 minutes during a slow evening).
• Empty water glasses not being refilled, even when clearly visible.
• Appetizers and food taking extended periods despite the restaurant being nearly empty.
• A general lack of awareness of guest needs, such as checking in, offering refills, or asking if we’re ready to order.

We understand that some issues can originate in the kitchen, and we also notice a difference in consistency between weekday and weekend service. However, many of these concerns seem to stem from attentiveness and situational awareness rather than attitude — Jacob is not rude, but appears to struggle with basic customer service flow.

We genuinely like your restaurant and want to continue coming back. Our hope in sharing this is that it may help improve consistency and overall guest experience. With some additional training, or perhaps placing him in a support role better suited to his strengths, we believe service could greatly improve.

“Charming little family friendly bowling alley. Decent shoestring fries with a simple fry sauce that hit the spot. Fresh veggies. smoky, chewy bacon with a bit of black pepper-very tasty. Generous patty cooked well with a nice crisp exterior over juicy meat.“
