“First time visiting this bakery & we ended up returning the next day! Was VERY excited and impressed to find they had two gluten free options, that were both so delicious! And they also let me know they had gluten free bread for sandwiches (which I didn’t have but will definitely try out next time!). Also heard all the gluten goodies were delicious as well! Will definitely return next time we visit the area & be sure to come early !”

“I ordered for pick up. One pad kee mao - medium spice and one yellow curry - no spice.

I think this might just have been the best thai food I have had since thai land.

Their kee mao flat noodles were perfectly cooked, not sticky, but bouncy almost.
The flavor was amazing, and the veggies and meat was well balanced.

The yellow curry was no spice but still flavorful- my wife is pregnant so she cant do spice right now, but she enjoyed the gingery-coconutty flavor a lot..

“Absolutely amazing staff and great vibes.
We had a bit of a snafu with our vacation plans and originally stopped here hoping to get access to WiFi to deal with an issue we were having with our Airbnb.
Ended up staying a bit on their wonderful porch and got some beverages while figuring out our next plans. The staff was amazingly helpful and went beyond out of their way to help us. Plus a good selection of drinks.
10/10 recommend
We will be back to enjoy having wine on their porch in the future!”

“This was our first time dining at Chicali Cantina. We are visiting from Texas and we know and love our Mexican food and are pretty picky. The chicken street tacos were amazing. Everyone in our party got street tacos except my Momma, who got enchiladas. Everyone raved about their choices. They do not chince on their meat or the fixins. Loved the chicken. Friendly staff and awesome atmosphere. We even got to take a pic with their life size Chancla. So happy we didn’t disrupt anyone too bad to have the wrath of the size 79 Chancla. “This place is like the real life cheers bar, but for coffee. Their service is too notch and so is the food. Also, they serve real food. Not store bought microwaved garbage. Couldn't recommend more! The best biscuits and gravy around as well as bagel breakfast sandwiches.”

“James Beard worthy! The owner met with us after dinner this week and explained his dishes with pride. He cuts all beef and poultry on-site and makes the deserts from scratch. Our steaks were the finest, well aged and prepared we have had nationwide. The flourless chococate cake will leave you speachless. Thank you for the experience, we will be back!”

“Absolutely one of my favorite places on the mountain. The vibe is great, the folks are always nice, and the food is amazing. The mac and cheese is incredible, and the BBQ is always great. Some might think that prices are a bit high; I disagree. I can tell what it takes to run and maintain a place like this, and over the years (and through the pandemic) they were very open about the difficulties faced in a highly seasonal, small town, mountain environment. I am willing to pay a bit more to have this place stay open and mostly unchanged. Go here, support them, tip well, and keep this place humming!”

“I'll never forget my First Mt hood roasters coffee experience. My brother took me here way back when and we made it a tradition to stop in and grab coffee on our way home from skiing. He now lives in Colorado but I have kept the tradition alive but getting a coffee for me and I send him beans. Love your roasts and homemade goodies.”

“Best breakfast in the area! Always worth a stop on the way up to the mountain. The marionberry pancakes and house breakfast are our favorites. The biscuits are fluffy and buttery, and you can’t beat the jam that comes with them. It’s cozy inside with a raging fire during the cold months.”

“We were heading back from a camping trip. Long 3 hour drive back to Salem. We stopped here for dinner and we're pleasantly surprised with our order. I wish I would have taken a picture! My burger looked better than the menu picture and my son's chicken step basket had chicken strips bigger than our local dq. All ingredients tasted fresh and servers were friendly. We will be stopping here every year after our annual camping trip. Thank you!”
