“Really enjoyed it. Nice ambiance & decor without being overbearing. Food was excellent. Loved the deviled eggs and both steaks (medallions and wagyu steak) were excellent and cooked exactly-as-ordered. Sides were excellent, particularly enjoyed the cheese sauce on the potato. Prices VERY reasonable for what you got. Service was friendly, helpful and attentive but without feeling 'rushed'. We did not get the 'only 2 hours' dictum others have mentioned... but c'mon folks - two hours is plenty and it's reasonable they need to 'turn tables' at that point. Thankfully they were happy to move our table due to someone in the next booth whose mommy never taught him to use his 'inside voice'... though we do hope the latest ointment helps him with that rash. It is definitely a 'restaurant that happens to be in a hotel' rather than a 'hotel restaurant.'“

“Just leaving this place. We were hesitant to try it because of the reviews but our experience was entirely opposite.. Quick Service, great food, great portions and pricing was good. I will definitely come back“

“I have loved Allenberry for years, but as of today (July 26 2025) I’m wondering if you switched restaurant managers or head chefs? We just had the strangest menu selections and did you change the interior of the Barn? It was perfect the way it was. You offer Chilean sea bass but the breeches is filled with trout yet don’t offer it? I can hear Gordon Ramseys voice in my head asking you guys why you don’t have something local and fresh. I’m no connoisseur, but meat/poultry/fish is best when sourced locally. A bit disappointed by this last visit. Will be back, because you’re a staple, but maybe not the time after next. We’ll see.“

“Today my daughter and I enjoyed the most delicious lunch at One 13 Social in downtown Carlisle. Small plates are elegant and perfect for lunch. Mine was Spoonbread Shrimp, extraordinarily creative flavors : salty olive tapanade, savory grilled shrimp, and sweet cornbread with honey butter. New to their terrific menu, hope it stays!! I tip my hat to the chef.“
