Booked Bourbon & Bridges through Resy for a solo dinner and was happy to put my Amex Resy credits to use. Conveniently located right across from the Courtyard downtown where I usually stay on business trips, it sits on a lively strip of bars and restaurants that makes for an easy evening stop.

The space itself has a great atmosphere — stylish décor with an impressive display of spirits behind the bar that immediately sets the tone for a cocktail-focused experience. The drink menu is extensive, with plenty of creative options. I ordered the Renegade — made with gin, peach nectar, passionfruit liqueur, lemon juice, simple syrup, and blueberry boba pearls — and it was excellent. Refreshing, balanced, and fun without being overly sweet.

Food was more mixed. The grilled chicken sandwich, served on a pretzel bun with chipotle aioli and toppings, was unfortunately pretty bland and forgettable. The Brussels sprouts were much better — nicely pan-fried with great flavor, although slightly sweeter than I would have preferred.

Overall, Bourbon & Bridges is worth visiting for the drinks and atmosphere more than the food. I’d absolutely come back to work through more of the cocktail menu.“

We got the cheapest bread you could buy and steak tar tar to start, both were great, then we shared 2 large entrees - the rainbow trout and the chicken, both were 10/10, probably the most perfectly cooked fish I’ve ever had in my life and again I don’t get wowed often. This is by far now our favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh to go to, hands down a PREMIERE spot to eat.“

“Impressive Cozy, Loft style dining experience; wonderful atmosphere with friendly knowledgeable staff and a well versed menu.
We arrived at our reservation time and were seated for dinner. The restaurant setting is comfortably welcoming as was our waitress Amy. We were dining in a downtown loft apartment looking out at the city of Pittsburgh. The decor was fitting of the experience both fixtures and furnishings.
We ordered the crispy Brussels, the crab cakes and salmon with risotto. All were cooked perfectly. We also partook in a pretty and plum cocktail 🍹 👍🏾 and a cherry 🍒 bloom mocktail (not as flavorful as expected so Amy had the bartender mix up another mocktail that had a more flavorful taste 👌🏾). I was also treated to a delicious birthday cake 🎂 .
There is lots of different seating options from lounge to large tables, intimate and bar seating. The bar is also very large. Overall great dining experience Emerson’s keep up the good work I enjoyed your restaurant.“

“My husband and I went here for our anniversary breakfast and it was delicious! Our waitress was very kind and helpful with all of our requested accommodations. She also helped answer our questions about items on the menu to make sure they were allergen safe for both of us. We had a reservation and still had to wait 5-10 for someone to come over and seat us at the host stand, but the food easily makes up for that. We had the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes and the Build Your Own Omelette, both of which we would highly recommend.“

“Came here about 10 years ago to see Perturbator and Arcade High, and recently came back for the Ultra Sunn live event. The show was an absolute blast and the atmosphere was awesome. Only downside was the pizza side of the venue. The whole pizza was pretty meh and way overpriced for the size. Still, the event itself made up for it and I’ll definitely keep coming back for shows.“

“Absolutely stunning venue! Phenomenal staff, from the doorman to the co-owner Maddy. So much work and time went into renovating and it shows. We will definitely be back for more shows in the near future… and rumor has it they have a full kitchen? Hopefully they have it running here soon. Can’t rave enough, but we had a great time. “The assistant manager Gabriel is the most kind and caring man; he exceeds expectations of a restaurant manager by a long shot! This modern Mexican restaurant showboats Mexican pride, while having more than reasonable prices. Food was cooked perfectly and quickly, it felt like we just ordered. The beet salad and the lobster Mac and cheese were phenomenal. We ordered fried green tomatoes as an app. It has a corn meal breading we didn’t love, so we only had 1 and didn’t want to box it. Our server removed it from bill and sent the manager over without us asking, (which I wouldn’t have) it just wasn’t our favorite. “Absolutely loved my stop into Nine Two Five with Matt & JJ. Tried both of their specialty cocktails and an Over/Under which is a great Underberg experience.
JJ’s cocktail (Loretta) was new-age whiskey with lavender, ginger, and egg whites…enjoyed!
Matt’s was a tiki cocktail (3 dots & a dash) that I was vaguely familiar with, and tasted great! Matt had a lot of beer experience that I was able to ask about. Great spot! More people need to go and enjoy the offerings!
