The second I walked in, I was impressed. The hostess greeted me immediately and with a smile. I asked if I should order now and she smiled and explained that she'd take my order and she'll bring it to me. It was very pleasant. The store itself is clean and bright. I ordered two eggs medium, sausage patties,home fries with peppers and onions, rye toast with a little butter and a medium coffee. Everything was made exactly as I ordered it. The portions were generous and the coffee was great. Thirteen bucks for all that. Perfect. I'll be back.“

“Food won’t wow you but is really good especially for a chain breakfast/lunch spot. Prices were reasonable. Service was to the point and not over the top. Food came out fairly quickly.
We had two options from the spring specials menu: the BEC (4/5) and the bacon Cheese Corn Bread (5/5)
We also ordered from the regular menu the Power Wrap (4/5) and Cheesy Grits (4/5). Got the pancakes but took them to go (4/5)“

“l've been coming to Bread and Butter since they first opened, and they've been consistently amazing ever since. My entire family eats here, and the atmosphere is so warm and family oriented that it feels like walking into a family reunion every time you visit. The food is ALWAYS incredible fresh, flavorful, and made with care. I come here so often that they already know my order before I even say it!
That kind of service and consistency is hard to find.

“This was the first restaurant my Grandmother took me to when I came to Philly when I was 8 I am going to be 44 in 2 months. Loyal customer for 36 years. They fed my family for 3 generations. It's not the same owners I started out with but the quality of food never changed and these owners owned it for decades. If you can ignore what's going on outside it's a great stop. The neighborhood changed the restaurant did not.“

“Being as though I lived in this neighborhood my entire life, I can say that I have never seen this business fall off. They have been a staple since I was young and more than likely beyond that.

The food is the exact type of breakfast food you are looking for. Nothing is over cooked or over seasoned. The food is so good, I find it hard to eat the entire platter at times. It is located in the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood, so the environment may not be appealing to some. However, there is no denying or questioning their food and the quality.

Parking: The store is located on a corner. The only place you can't park are the bus stops. However, you can park across the street, behind the bus stops, and along the side the diner.

Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs to enter, simply a small ramp. Additionally, tables are low and you can rearrange them to fit your needs.“

“So happy I stumbled into Sunnyside for breakfast! This is a local spot, no frills and nothing fancy but delicious wholesome breakfast food that hits the spot. The creamed chipped beef, scrapple, omelettes and grits are all delightful and fairly priced. If you're looking for a place to instagram and post, this is not the spot - but if you're a real person looking for some real good food in the area, definitely check it out.“
