“Wow, we are new to the area and found that we love this little place. We usually get takeout since it’s just a few minutes from home it’s always on the way. Lasagna, pizza, cheesesteaks and wings were all really good but the fajitas well now that was in a world of its own. It was everything I asked for and more. I like em American style and they came thru big time. Had myself a little fajita bar and it was the best guacamole I have had in a long time. So happy this is our little local pizza shop but it would be worth the drive.”

“We enjoyed our meal at Thunderhead very much! The service was excellent and they were extremely accommodating. Everyone was smiling and even chatting with our 2 year old. The food came out promptly. I had the short ribs and they were delicious. Perfectly cooked. My husband had the burger and it looked amazing. The fries were to die for! Our dessert was made fresh and was the perfect end to our meal. Can’t wait to go back!”

“Just WOW! The atmosphere is good. The food is just amazing. The Tomahawk Chop is delicious. The balsamic reduction a perfect combination. And the deserts: wonderful.! (Try the Brownie with Ice Cream or Apple Cobbler with Ice Cream. Oh heck, get both!) We went last Saturday, (it was highly recommended by a friend) And I want to go back this coming Friday.”

“I’m from Maryland and I visited JT for the first time this past weekend. I can’t express enough how wonderful the entire town is. But Wild Elder was the most welcoming and cozy establishment. I highly suggest the Elderflower Cider or mulled Elderberry wine. I had their BLT and broccoli slaw and it paired perfect! I can’t wait to come back again!”

“stopped for a quick bite. every time we are in the area for breakfast we do a stop. this time I ordered a turkey BLT with onions that was on a onion bagel and I put garlic herb cream cheese spread on it instead of the mayo. this was delicious through each bite. Last time I was here I had their poutine fries totally delectable.”

“Finally stopped after a car show in Macungie on way back to Wilkes Barre. Did not disappoint. From the friendly service when I walked in to obviously the food. I had pepperoni pizza and a chicken Cesar salad. Great sized portions and absolutely delicious. Will definitely return.”

“What an amazing discovery for anyone with food sensitivities and allergies! Our meals were exceptional. The drinks top notch. The staff amazing(shout out especially to Holly and her handcrafted shrubs!) The only reason I was willing to leave Jim Thorpe was because I had a loaf of wonderful to take home and toast for breakfast Monday morning. Looking forward to our next visit to town even more now!”

“We had our daughter's Bridal Shower in their private party room. The staff was amazing. We were able to arrive and start to set up at 10 am for the shower which started at 1:00 pm. The private room had a beautiful view of the vineyard and pond. They also closed off part of the outside deck as part of their package. We would highly recommend their services for any type of private event that you want to have.”
