“I was excited to visit Scout for the first time on Monday and LOVED its cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu has some wonderful and interesting selections -the sandwiches especially are not something you would find at another café around here. I tried the grilled cheese and added grilled chicken. It was like no other grilled cheese I've ever had, and it is by far the best sandwich I've ever had anywhere (not exaggerating- I had to hold myself back from going to get another one the next day). “Their matcha was the best matcha I’ve ever had. Perfect balance between the matcha, oatmilk and vanilla. The cinnamon muffin was delicious. The owner was also incredibly nice and offered great service. I was there for an open mic and I had my one year old with me. He even offered her sliced fruit and juice. I enjoyed my experience. If I lived in Delaware, I would probably be there every week. When I travel back to Delaware, I will definitely stop here.“

“Found out about this great little place when it went TikTok famous. My friend and I decided to let the hype die down a bit before we went. We got there not long after they opened so we could secure a table which you must do in order to be able to get their coffee flights. We both got coffee flights and they were hit or miss but it was an experience and luckily for us their coffee is really good on its own when the toppings didn't work. I had also ordered two toasts that I shared with my friend. I decided one sweet one savory so I got the Beez Kneez toast the Grey Fox toast. Everything paired so well and was so delicious, I felt like I was eating brunch at a 5 star restuarant. The staff were all super friendly and the service was great. I can't wait to go back and try more!“

However, the line moved fast.My younger son ordered the mint chocolate chip ice cream and my older son tried the moose tracks. (I took a taste of both)The mint chocolate chip was so delicious, it reminded me of ice cream I got from a little candy shop up in Northern Wisconsin when I was a kid. I got an Americano and it was very smooth but might not be strong enough for hardened caffeine addicts (I do admit that could be the fault of my heavy pour of whole milk though so take my opinion about the strength with a grain of salt). Atmosphere was great and I love the location next to the train station. I also ordered an egg and cheese sandwich which was very tasty but I have to knock one star off since the bread was a bit tough. Gotta give it up to the guy manning the grill too. I think he was the only one making food orders and he was serving them up fast despite it being pretty busy. Rock on my guy!“

The only downsides are that the space is tight and there can be a wait because it's popular. The staff is very efficient without ever making customers feel as if they are being rushed through. The only issue I encountered was the bottom of the box had warm icing on it but just grab a few napkins and it's no problem! Don't miss this spot the Boardwalk was my favorite.“

BUT, if you are looking for a fine cup of coffee and a very comfortable place to sit and chat, read, or work, this is an excellent place. The coffee was fine--I had an espresso and a drip coffee. My friend had a latte that she didn't think too highly of, and had a decaf drip. I tasted some of her decaf; it was one of the better decaf coffees I've had. Staff was friendly, and drinks came out quickly.“

There are a couple of high top tables that you can sit and enjoy any of their food/drinks. The staff is always friendly and quick to get the food ready.
