“Lovely lovely neighborhood cafe with yummy options otherwise scarce nearby. Favorites so far have been the pandan waffle, taro boba, the banh mi combo, but this place is always on my mind to try much more of the menu! The boba drink sizes are also much more generous for the price compared to others.“

“Such a cute coffee shop. A hidden treasure in my work neighborhood. I stop here on occasion if I get a break in my day. Good lattes and coffees. Full menu including breakfast and lunch options as well as quick items like muffins. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff.“

I called the day before to check on some things and Kendra was especially patient with my couple of questions. I really liked her immediately.

My brother and mom arrived before me (my back was out but I had wanted to see Landing Kitchen for quite a while and it was my son's birthday!).

The cheeseburgers were excellent. I had their Margarita, which was fun. The ambiance was very laid back outdoors.

“My wife and I are on the #eatjersey challenge to visit and have a meal in all 564 towns of NJ. We chose Hens & Honey Shoppe for Swedesboro, our 136th town.

We had seen this place pop up on our social media feeds, and couldn't wait to try it when we came to town. (Check out their Instagram for great coffee pics and the funny Reels the crew makes.) Valerie & the H&H team exceeded expectations! First off, the shop itself is a work of art with lots of insta-photo-friendly decor.

The iced coffee flight is a must. It's what we came for. We got to try the Fall Special line up (Jack O, Pecan Lane, Flannel Jacket, and Harvest Moon).

It's not just a coffee shop though. The gourmet toasts they offer make for some of the most unique & delicious breakfast or brunch options I've seen. We tried the Smoked Salmon and Bourbon Sweet Honey toasts. WOW! Each of these were a party in our mouths. If we lived close enough, we'd come back more often to try all the toasts out!

The place gets busy, so you might have a wait, but it's WELL worth it.

Disclaimer: I'm writing this review almost a year after we first visited, and the shop has expanded to a larger space in the same plaza that looks just as cool. Can't wait to swing by again between visits to other towns our next time in Gloucester county! (As of Oct 2024, 243 Jersey towns visited, 321 to go!)“

“Started coming for trivia night on Tuesdays. We’ve made it a point to go every week we can now. I haven’t had a drink here I haven’t liked and I’m working my way through the menu. So far our favorites are the chai blossom and the rising sun. Their specials are also always so fun and tasty. It can get a bit crowded but it’s more of a lively than a cramped atmosphere. LOVE this place!!“

“Had the Spring Fling coffee today, IT WAS INCREDIBLE! Never have I had coffee like this. It was robust but mild, with hints of lavender, thyme and pink peppercorns. Absolutely a must have for those that go regularly. I live in NJ so sadly I won’t be here often and I’m sad about that.“

“Going to a brewery at 8 in the morning to grab terrific coffee - nothing better! The atmosphere of Wirlybird welcomes you immediately. The baristas are super friendly and the coffee (specifically americanos!) are delicious. It is a great place to go to socialize especially if you have people in your group who don’t drink - options of alcohol or coffee include everyone. You can also bring in your own food or buy from the food trucks. Awesome place with awesome vibes!“

“Today I stopped at The Hungry A. I have driven buy there many times. As I walked in the owners and people in there all greeted me like they know me. I had a coffee and it was one of the best I ever had. The breakfast sandwich was delicious. I will be be back. But what really got to me I walk with a cane and one of the girls there saw I was having a hard time she came around the counter and took what I was carrying and helped me to my car. Today there are not many people that are kind as she was. It made me know that there is still kind people in this world. If every would take the time to be kind to someone just once maybe it could be a start to make this world just a little better“

“My husband visited here and decided to surprise me with a tempura roll and Creme Brûlée’s bubble tea for our dinner to share. I had never heard of this place before. The food was amazing!!!!! “Great place for light bites in this area. Very walkable and close to Clark Park. Fully vegan menu is always nice! Beautiful displays of baked goods behind glass, like a classic cafe. Never disappointed in their sweet treats! Variety of vegan breakfast and lunch sandwiches--they use tofu for the "egg" which is a nice touch and makes it feel a bit more healthful. Biscuits are very crumbly, great texture especially for vegan. Only downside of the sandwiches is that they're served in extremely hot foil wrapping--I'm talking, so hot I very nearly burned my hands just carrying it back to a table. So be careful! The ambiance in the place is a downside in general. I have nothing against heavy metal "grindcore" music but having it playing in the background of a cafe is very distracting! There is also not a lot of interior seating as they seem to do mostly takeout type business. Very beautiful mural painting inside though, which is a plus! As a cafe it does serve coffee based drinks as well, but I don't recommend these if you actually like coffee. It's the typical burnt, rancid robusto that most places serve nowadays, which is only really good for adding caffeination to a milkshake-y Starbucks style drink. I don't like it, but it's hard to dock them for it too much when it's come to be the expectation for cafes nowadays. All in all, a recommend with a few minor caveats. You'll enjoy as long as you don't hang out there while eating and drinking, and don't order the black coffee! Updated from previous review on 2024-08-17“

“Absolutely love this bakery! They offer handmade treats that you won’t just find at any grocery store bakery, but instead a real nice and upscale mini bakery. Their menu items often change, incorporating new and exciting ideas often. Some yummy ones that I tried are tiramisu, pavlova, caramel cheesecake, pumpkin cheesecake, fruit tarts, and more! They also offer unique beverages such as a hibiscus flavored lemonade and a minty sprite. Not to mention they also offer crepes which I have yet to try but I bet they’re delicious.“

“Nom Nam House is a delightful gem that transports you straight to Vietnam with every bite. It is real authentic vietnamese food and is a family owned restaurant. The Banh Mi + Pho here is simply outstanding! The broth is rich and aromatic, simmered to perfection with a blend of spices that creates a comforting depth of flavor. Each bowl is a hearty meal that warms the soul. The banh mi is equally impressive. The baguette is crisped to perfection holding a delicious array of fillings.“
