“Great coffee, quick, friendly staff, cool decor, really slick looking espresso machine. A little crowded but well-managed. I talked to the barista about his job and I could tell he really takes pride in his work. I got a perfect Americano. They roast in-house. This is the micro brewery of cafe's. The pic is a cool light I saw in there.“
“Loved everything here and will definitely be back! Staff is friendly and food and drinks were delicious. I ordered a croissant breakfast sandwich, Snickerdoodle latte and a jelly-filled donut which I really enjoyed. Also loved the beautiful and unique artwork for sale.“
“Solid 4.2. Very good , not a disappointment. Staff are great. Dog friendly. Would like a better food selection but a decent , no frills coffee/latte place. Atmosphere is ok. Nothing fancy and only fits about 15 people but a respectable place with good people/ownership.“
“Just moved into the neighborhood & decided to take a walk. I saw this tucked inside a little shopping center & now I regret it. Should have stuck with Dunkin Donuts bc after eating an everything bagel w/cream cheese from there, I’m addicted. I almost walked back for another one it was that good AND I don’t want to be addicted to another carb. Lol. I more than likely will get my fix tomorrow. Great customer service & very friendly. I have a new bagel place.“
“I've tried Top Hat Coffee Lounge by the UPenn campus, but I'm glad I discovered this new location! It's definitely hidden within a plaza and is situated within the walkway as you exit Saks Fifth Avenue. While the space is small, there is still plenty to order in terms of drinks and several pastries as well. The staff greeted us with a very warm welcome and was patient while we decided on our drinks. My friend and I both ordered oat matcha lattes, which were delicious and tasted like high-quality matcha as we were told :) The added perk is that he did not charge us for substituting our milk with oat milk, so thank you for that!“
“Great cafe and wonderful staff -- I haven't been here before and asked for a drink recommendation, the barista created a drink based on flavors that I typically enjoy and it was really good! He made sure that I liked the drink as well. Great seating for studying or catching up with friends. I can see their community outreach efforts through the events they host regularly through game nights or cupcake decorating. Parking can be difficult around the area depending on the time of day. Would recommend!“
“Delicious food, fresh ingredients, tasty coffee, and friendly service. My husband and I stopped in for our first visit and loved everything we ordered. You can tell they put a lot of care and attention into the quality of the ingredients and the options on the menu. We've officially found our local go-to breakfast spot!“
“I cannot say enough good things about this bakery and the lovely family who owns it. Outstanding pastries and breakfast sandwiches. Their banh mi sandwiches are excellent. I wish they had a bigger menu! Coffee drinks have been fantastic. All the above served by a delightful counter team. My 7yo son and I love this place!“
“Very nice quiet atmosphere. Very peaceful and I loved seeing the daughter and Mom duo. It's was refreshing to see considering I brought my daughter along with me. The Boba my daughter ordered wasn't sweet to her liking, and she was going to add additional sugar, however the owner called my daughter over to fix the drink. It's the little things and this business has it! ❤️“
“A great place. Been open many years. Recently on TV for their Anniversary. Sometimes crowded but they are quick and move fast. You can get breakfast sandwiches all day which is a plus. Coffee very good, another plus. Only takes cash, no big deal to me. Grew up in South Philly and local neighborhood places the same. Got scrapple, egg & cheese, bacon, egg & cheese, peppers , egg & cheese. All outstanding. Owner Bruce and his wife working up front, working, greeting and monitoring everything.“
“The atmosphere is cozy and the drinks are amazing. I Tried quite a few from the menu by now and I'm excited to try more. The cocktails are creative and tasty. The coffee drinks are also delicious and comforting. It's nice to have a place to sit down, relax and enjoy the libations and conversation especially when its not busy.“
“Decided to travel here for an impromptu late lunch last Tuesday. We've been here before because The Landing Kitchen offers so much more than great food and beverage selections. It also is home to such an accessible space overlooking the Schuylkill (skoo-kill) River. It sits across from Manayunk and can be accessed by walking bridge that spans the river. There are walking paths along the river and at The Landing Kitchen outdoor space there is a bocce court, ping pong table, corn hole, a giant Connect 4 game and other items. There is protected dining outside and also propane heaters and a fire pit strategically located. Back to food, my wife enjoyed their signature chicken sandwich and I opted for a bowl of outstanding Chorizo Corn Chowder and the TLK Burger. Chased it down with a Workforce IPA from King of Prussia and it too was an outstanding IPA. The Landing Kitchen also offers wine and cocktails, along with various coffee offerings as well. In season it really gets crazy busy, so now is a great time to pay a visit. They do breakfast sandwiches and other offerings as well. Salads and sides are equally satisfying. Cheers.Vegetarian options: I noticed a number of items that would be the perfect option. Simply check out the changing menu online.Parking: There is a small lot and there is the much larger lot that also services The Landing Kitchen, its more refined sister restaurant, LARK (that sits on the top floor of The Residence Inn that is all part of the complex). We have also dined at Lark while staying at the Residence Inn. It's a win-win.Kid-friendliness: Outdoor games, walking paths and the bridge across to Manayunk which features protected walking lanes. The bridge is basically used by cyclists.Wheelchair accessibility: Getting into inside seating is accessible. To go outdoors I believe you have to go back outside and simply swing around the corner of TLK to the riverside of the property to the outdoor seating and activity area.“
“I initially thought Platform Z was a bit of a strange name for a poke place, but once arriving it was immediately obvious that the name was due to the fact that this place is inside of a cute little train station! The service here was absolutely outstanding. The staff who were present the night we went for date night were very kind, patient, and eager to help with menial tasks like even giving us a bag as we were walking out the door. The kitchen area itself was very clean and all of the food was fresh. The lighting in the restaurant itself was a little bit lacking in terms of atmosphere, but I don’t really fault this place for not having absolutely perfect feng shui. The food here was really good! The portion sizes on the poke bowls are honestly massive, easily enough for 3 meals. The boba in the boba tea was a little undercooked, but nothing to complain about. The miso soup here specifically was easily the standout out of everything we ordered, I don’t think I’ve had miso soup that good in months.Whether you’re just passing thru on your commute to work or you’re coming here for a date, I highly recommend!“
“I work right down the street from Top Hat and when I'm craving a crafted beverage: its SUCH a good choice. It recently had a Vanilla Nitro Cold Brew on special that was just the perfect blend of sweetness, smooth Nitro, and crispness. I would drink iced coffee any day of the week, and I would drink this one in particular every day. I've had the ballsy goat waffle on other trips and its the perfect blend of sweet and savory: balsamic reduction, goat cheese, strawberries: it sounds unusual but its honestly just the right balance. I really want to try more of their items. I will note: they are not cheap. But I think the quality and attention to detail is worth it.“
“Amazing.......from the pumpkin pie latte to the macarons! You have to try their breads as well. I bought the latte, macarons and bread, then sat in my car while sipping my coffee. After eating the milk cream bread me and my girlfriend went back in to buy more......that's how good everything was! Oh and the customer service was great. Don't mind the one star someone else posted!“
“Elixr is hands-down my favorite coffee in the city. The drinks are great, the beans are great, and all of the employees are wonderful. It's a shame the owner would rather line his lawyer's pockets than pay his workers a living wage. Stop stalling and wasting everyones time, sign the contracts already! #“
“This is the best bakery and the closest to what you would find in Europe right in Ridley Park! Everything is freshly baked and quality products. It is absolutely worth stopping in for a coffee and baked goods. My favorite is their cream puff and macaroons. But next visit I am definitely going to try one of their fresh crepes!Vegetarian options: Clearly labeled dietary optionsDietary restrictions: Gluten free options availableParking: Meter paid parkingKid-friendliness: Kid friendly but it is an upscale coffee and bakery shop.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible.“
“Years ago bought fresh pasta when it was called Springfield Ravioli. Since then another good pasta place opened closer to me(Ridley) so haven't been here in a bit. I was looking for good breakfast sandwich in area. Web search, their name came up multiple times. Got scrapple , egg, cheese & son got red pepper, egg and cheese. Heard coffee was good. The sandwiches were great & quickly made. The coffee was fantastic, among best I've ever had. There were two types, a dark roast and a medium roast called "420". I believe locally roasted.“
“Surely this woman is a sorceress and she has bewitched me by her craft! Undoubtedly, I DEVOUR each confection I purchase in under 90 seconds. With recipes such as hers, Devour Desserts is not just her business...it is her calling. God bless <3'“
“I am declaring Founded Pizza's Caprese Pizza a culinary masterpiece blending fresh greens, creamy mozzarella, and fragrant basil on a perfectly crispy crust. Each bite is a symphony of flavors, elevated by a delicate balsamic glaze. It’s surprising to find such commitment to quality and attention to detail in a local pizza joint, but Founded Pizza offers an exceptional selection that will leave me craving for more. We’re lucky to have a Pizza restaurant offering this level of quality in East Falls.“
“Gfg is amazing service and food!! The customer service is unmatched feeling like you’re family. You can tell they truly care about their customers and it radiates in their cuisine. Such high quality food for reasonable prices. Definitely would recommend!“
“Their sourdough and challah loaves are worth a trip alone. You can order ahead which is really great and convenient as well since parking is not the easiest around here. After trying an assortment of their pastries my favorites are their blueberry tart and cinnamon swirl. Would recommend!“
“Yesterday morning, I stopped here for breakfast after seeing they offer vegan options on Happy Cow, and it hit the spot. The cafe was clean and organized. The staff were very friendly and fun, and even though there were several guests before me, I didn’t have to wait long. They have plenty of outdoor seating and a few tables inside. I got a spiced coffee with oat milk which was really tasty, and a vegan Philly muffin breakfast sandwich with hummus. I was very satisfied with the amount of food I received and the flavors. The everything Philly muffin is the way to go! I decided to grab a vegan scone on the way out which made for a delicious fika in a nearby park later. Will happily return!Vegetarian options: Can’t say much for vegetarians, but there are definitely enjoyable vegan options. Tofutti cream cheese or hummus for sandwiches, all the plant milks, and vegan baked goods.“
“Giving this spot 5 stars across the board because I have no complaints and I absolutely love the vibe here. My drinks were good, however I did not get any food the three times I've been. The matcha latte was excellent and I really enjoyed the mocha latte!“
“My go-to spot for coffee in the neighborhood! Great drinks and food with plenty of vegetarian/vegan options, and the baristas are all super-friendly! Love the inclusion of a community fridge on-site and their recovery-friendly mission. Highly recommend them, and I'm super psyched that they're opening another location closer to me soon!“
“I love this atmosphere, and the people working with Felicia (she is wonderful)! The food is what I had been craving for since I have been shopping and walking for exercise there. All the dishes I have ordered are spectacular and Felicia!'s touch on everything! What a hard worker...my hats off to you and your family there!“
“No dine in, takeout only with a few outside tables. The bahn mi and the pho were yummy! We will order from there again. The fried pork dumplings were divine! I could have eaten 10 of them. The spring rolls had huge leaves of mint or Thai basil in them and it was way too much. Not sure if that is the traditional way to make them or what but I’ve never had a spring roll that tasted like that before. I couldn’t finish.“
“The best breakfast I've ever had! The Vegan Blueberry Pancake OMG!!! I could literally have this every day - can't wait to go back and try more of their dishes. Cute place, wonderful service!Vegetarian options: SO happy I could be a vegan and eat there!“
“It’s a small spot but don’t miss it! There are lots of different ice creams to try but on this night I was jonesing for a milkshake. It was a great choice! They use extra thick milk for the shakes and they come out smooth and thick! I loved my twicks bar one“
“Gong cha is solidly okay boba - nothing to write home about but their tapioca is a good texture of chewy but not to chewy. The teas are too sweet for me at regular sweetness, so I recommend getting 50% sugar (regular is 75%). The service at this location is and a drink will average $7-8 with tax. They share the space with a to-go sushi restaurant and have a few tables inside, so you can grab dinner and a drink and sit and eat.“
“Buna Cafe is such a gem in the neighborhood. I’ve not had a chance to dine in yet, but their food via delivery has been outstanding. It’s always well-presented and carefully packaged, which just isn’t the case for all food deliveries. I’ve tried a number of the vegan sides, but I’ve found my groove with the veg platter, and it just makes me so happy! The shiro is amazing—smooth and creamy and so flavorful! I sometimes get it as a side in addition to the platter to have some to enjoy the next day. Definitely worth a visit or placing an order!“
“This place was fantastic! Super chill vibes, friendly staff, and amazing board game selection with someone there to help select a game specific to what you’re looking for. Aside from that, the menu offers both vegan and gluten free options, as well as a large selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, to accommodate everyone’s needs/preferences. Will definitely be returning!“
“So cute! I don’t know why this the first tie I have been here but this place is adorable. Ladies, it’s tea time! Bring your friends! I will say that there could be more tea options for that price. Two tea choices? I would say 3 or 4 choices per party would be more appropriate for the price. Otherwise, love everything else!!!! The tea sandwiches, Yum! Especially the one with the pickled radish! And the little cookies! My pinky is coming out just thinking about that delightful experience. Love it! Thank you!Parking: A few spots. Try to get there early to see if you can get a spot when someone is pulling out“
“Great locally owned coffee and plant shop! Seating is limited in the main area near all the plants, however, there is an upstairs with more seating but limited wall-plug space for charging devices if you plan on staying for a while. Coffee was also a bit pricy for the quality of the coffee.“
“Their bagels are freshly made on site....And way more reasonable than the overpriced hipster epicenter across the street. All baked goods are freshly made on site.Their coffee is ok ... Not exactly pour over, but whatever....it's Lancaster Avenue.“
“Amazing student-run coffee shop! WilCaf is an amazing place to drop by, for Penn student/staff or just visitors. They have a great selection of standard coffee drinks, milk options, as well as extra flavorings to add. There's also a fun drink of the week that plays around with unique flavors and combos. Sometimes the drinks are too sweet/not sweet enough/etc. however, and I would appreciate more consistency. Overall good though. Wish there was more seating in the area because it's always crowded! Prices are decent as well. Go-to on campus for sure.“
“It's been 3 weeks since I arrived in the US from Italy and have been searching for coffee that resembles the amazing Italian coffee I'm used to. Well, today I found my place! The coffee is the best I've tasted so far since being here. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere very welcoming, relaxed and nice. Bonus: No loud music so you can have a good chat without having to talk too loud. Will be back soon!“
“This was my first time at Hobbs. As others have mentioned, the coffee was excellent. I got an Americano and it was very smooth but might not be strong enough for hardened caffeine addicts (I do admit that could be the fault of my heavy pour of whole milk though so take my opinion about the strength with a grain of salt). Atmosphere was great and I love the location next to the train station. I also ordered an egg and cheese sandwich which was very tasty but I have to knock one star off since the bread was a bit tough. Gotta give it up to the guy manning the grill too. I think he was the only one making food orders and he was serving them up fast despite it being pretty busy. Rock on my guy!“
“DOTF has a very unique atmosphere and interesting flavors of beer to go with it. That said, it is a coffee house first and a brewery second. Service can get very slow so don’t expect to be getting slung beers down the bar every time your glass is empty. But go on non-peak hours and non-event days, you should be fine.“
“This small corner cafe is clean & the service is great. The staff is friendly, patient & kind. I've had several food selections & they were all good! My personal favorite is the kale salad with a salmon patty, no goat cheese. Their lattes with oat or almond milk are also good, along with a selection of baked goods. The cheesecake brownie or the double chocolate muffin is my occasional cheat treat. If you're ever in the neighborhood stop in & give iMunch Cafe a try!“
“Great, old time ice cream place. This would be the perfect spot to visit after a baseball game!I took my kids for an ice cream on a lazy Sunday afternoon this summer. The place was packed! However, the line moved fast.My younger son ordered the mint chocolate chip ice cream and my older son tried the moose tracks. (I took a taste of both)The mint chocolate chip was so delicious, it reminded me of ice cream I got from a little candy shop up in Northern Wisconsin when I was a kid. My older son said that their moose tracks was the best he's ever had.We will definitely go back!Only wish they had some gluten free cones or cookies.“
“Absolutely beautiful pastries and sweet treats. We ordered a number of items, and especially liked the beignets, which were fluffy and sweet, but not too sweet! The individual cakes would be beautifully elegant to serve at a dinner party or brunch. Definitely recommend!“
“Confident saying - anything positive you've read/heard about Green Engine is probably 100% legit. Drinks and pasteries are fantastic. Service is always very good. Been here many times. I'd recommend: hot vanilla latte & a toasted bagel with cashew butter. Sometimes it's hard to find seating...but that's because the place is justifiably popular.“
“A lifeline of Jefferson Hospital! Egg and cheese hoagie for 7:00AM breakfast and tuna salad sandwich for lunch. The prices are great for a student budget, too. The owners are very kind and get to know their customers. Sam's Fresh Spot is the perfect pit stop. It's why I keep cash on me.“
“I'd like to give this a 4.5, but that isn't an option. This is a wonderful place to get a very delicious and extensive variations to your boba tea. The reason I am giving it a four is that this store needs to get better at explaining the prices and add ons. I wasn't aware that the variations I requested changed the price. Had I known, I would have asked for the standard. Otherwise, great place. Only better boba tea place I have been to is in Altoona.“
“What a gem this place is. I'm always nervous to order but the staff really puts me at ease. Everyone is so wonderful. I always enjoy trying the new concotions. It's a small space, but it's very relaxing. Being around the plants is very peaceful. The bathroom was super clean last time I used it. I'm so glad to have this place. Also, the music playlist is unpredictable and I'm always so curious to know what they'll play!“
“Kettle is a lovely quaint breakfast spot. The pancakes are delicious, and they have a number of great food options. I just wish they had more non-pork breakfast meat options, and served espresso. Otherwise, a great place to stop and grab a quick bite.“
“We visited Philly, and our hosts recommended this local coffee shop. It's a cozy space that fills up quickly, and business is brisk on the weekends. You may have to wait for a seat, and the order takes about 5-10 minutes to fill. Wonderful if you are not in a rush. There is an interesting mix of people, from the homeless guy angling for a free coffe, to the serious millennials on their laptops. Dogs are welcome as well, so it's a fun and lively atmosphere. Coffee is good, but not exceptional. Not a problem if you are tired and need the blessed gift of caffeine first thing in the morning. Reanimator lives up to its name.“
“This is the best coffee shop in the area. Quick, reasonable, amazing coffee, what more could you want? The seating area is on the smaller side but most people get coffees to go so seating wasn't a problem. One thing lacking here is the pastries/food which I think they could improve on.“
“Munchkins are super fresh and they hooked me up real nice ( its the best surprise when dunkin does that). My sandwich was hot and tasted right. And my iced cappuccino doesn't taste watered down. Actually has the strong taste of coffee I love. Definitely one of the better Dunkins around.“
