“Absolutely sensational cheesesteak from Davinci’s Pizzeria in Whitehall. The meat was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The house sliced Cooper Cheese 🧀 was generously applied, as well as perfectly fried onions. The sandwich came together in Harmony on a seeded Liscio's Bakery submarine roll. You may have it toasted, which I believe is their standard or untoasted. I asked for an untoasted roll, and it was fresh as can be. Janis, who runs the show here, was an absolute delight! She answered a few questions I had with integrity and a smile. We talked about Allentown’s 6th Ward and we know some of the same people. She provided me a sample of their house made fries and house dipping sauce. The dipping sauce recipe wasn’t divulged, and for good reason! The fries are cut similar to a Frito Scoop, which is great for the dipping sauce! The cheesesteak was well above average, in my opinion. This steak is in the discussion for me with the elite shops in the area. The top photo is fresh at the shop. Bottom photo is after is was wrapped and brought home. I highly recommend Davinci’s. “I love this place! I’ve been coming here for 35 years or so. This was a place that our kids loved to go, especially when they could sit underneath the giant sailfish. It’s an iconic place in the Lehigh Valley. The food is always excellent, but my favorite is the pizza.It’s consistently excellent-the best in the Lehigh Valley IMO. “My family has been going here for 15+ years. Never takes more than 10-15 minutes (worth the wait even if there was one). Very consistent quality. The pizza has never been greasy, even with pepperoni or sausage. The dough is very flavorful and doesn't need to be drowned out by garlic or salt to be good. Great yeast flavor profile. Best pizza in a 30 mile radius, maybe even more. Do yourself a favor and get a pie from here.“

Pizza could have used more sauce, but that's a personal preference. Garlic knots and pepperoni knots were on the small side, but very tasty. Good marinara. Small place, not a ton of room for dine-in, but adequate. Typical pizza shop atmosphere. Thin Sicilian looked amazing, will try that next time, and they have a full selection of entrees, dinners, sandwiches, appetizers, etc. Great place!“

The sauce to dough ratio is good. The mid dough is tender. Under crust is just right. Sauce is not like my Nona but good.

“Now coming from NYC we appreciate a nice slice of pizza. You can see I lifted the slice up and all the cheese stayed together with the dough, this my friends is properly cooked and proper ratio between cheese and sauce.

“Highly recommend this restaurant!! We celebrated my son’s graduation a week ago and couldn’t believe how welcoming Kevin and his wife were. They were so accommodating of our dietary requirements including food allergies and veganism for some of us. They were so knowledgeable about wheat allergies and really took the time to make sure everything was done right. But best of all was that the food tasted so good and came piping hot out of the kitchen. At one point my daughter said “this is the best shrimp alfredo I’ve ever eaten!”. Everyone at the table couldn’t stop taking about how their dish was so delicious! My nephew, who has a wheat allergy, was able to eat fried calamari for the first time and was ecstatic! The prices are very reasonable and it is a warm and friendly place to enjoy a meal. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend you visit as well! 😊“

We each had pasta, shared a couple of slices, and brought home a chicken and cheese quesadilla for tomorrow. The food was great- really fresh, flavorful, and plentiful. The best part, though, was the staff. From counter staff to cooks, we were treated to very friendly service from the time we walked in until we left with bags full of leftovers, to an extent that stood out to us and made me want to leave a review. My son said as we were leaving, “I think we’re going to be talking about our dinner for the rest of the night,” and he was right. 10/10, can’t wait to return.“
