I still can't figure out how she remembers us each time we come to dine. This is a testament to her customer service skills and professionalism. “Great Cocktails, Forgettable Food in Downtown Pittsburgh

Booked Bourbon & Bridges through Resy for a solo dinner and was happy to put my Amex Resy credits to use. Conveniently located right across from the Courtyard downtown where I usually stay on business trips, it sits on a lively strip of bars and restaurants that makes for an easy evening stop.

The space itself has a great atmosphere — stylish décor with an impressive display of spirits behind the bar that immediately sets the tone for a cocktail-focused experience. The drink menu is extensive, with plenty of creative options. I ordered the Renegade — made with gin, peach nectar, passionfruit liqueur, lemon juice, simple syrup, and blueberry boba pearls — and it was excellent. Refreshing, balanced, and fun without being overly sweet.

Food was more mixed. The grilled chicken sandwich, served on a pretzel bun with chipotle aioli and toppings, was unfortunately pretty bland and forgettable. The Brussels sprouts were much better — nicely pan-fried with great flavor, although slightly sweeter than I would have preferred.

Overall, Bourbon & Bridges is worth visiting for the drinks and atmosphere more than the food. I’d absolutely come back to work through more of the cocktail menu.“

And the drinks are also just as pretty and delicious, with a bunch of of different flavors and combos, they also can craft something for you, but the specials are so varied that you can def find something you like!

Also the staff was great and made sure to check what flavors and strength you would like to steer you in the right direction, would definitely recommend!“

“We went to G’s for our anniversary and it was an absolutely delightful experience. Great quiet and cozy atmosphere, stellar service, and incredible food and drinks. Every dish was full of flavor and the textures were all beautifully done. Even the bread basket was amazing with maple butter. It felt like a 5 star dining experience for a reasonable person. Good, pricey coffee; the food is not particularly expensive. Good beer and big bacon in the bloody. Giant dinosaur eggs on the Benedict, but not close to hot.“

“MY friend and I went there on Saturday to celebrate our birthdays..Our server Adam was simply amazing. He patiently waited for us to decide on our drink order and went as far as to let us try the drink to see if we liked it, which we didn’t but he took it off our bill and then brought us a birthday card and wished us a happy birthday. The food was very delicious. But our main complaint comes down to Adam !! He was so fantastic and such a kind person . They truly have a rare gem in him as an employee! I hope they appreciate him because he is what makes it a truly wonderful experience there. We will definitely go back there and if we are lucky Adam will be our server.!!!“

“I am a foodie for sure and this experience was a flavor explosion!! The beets were a texture fantasy with a crunch and sweet savory home run. And the Striploin?!!!!! Filet tenderness with a better than NY strip flavor (how is it possible?). Second only to my NYC Wagyu A5 favorite. I was a little hesitant when I first saw the menu, but nothing disappointed at all! Would definitely recommend and return with friends for that steak!!! Chef Dave is a Master of flavors. Shame on me for reviewing before dessert. COME FOR THE DESSERT!! SMH. Creativity of the highest order. I can see why this place is packed tonight. Bring a date, bring your family, impress a client. You will not regret it. And ask for Crystal! “We had täkō last night in Pittsburgh for the first time and it was SO GOOD! They had their Spookeasy pop up Halloween bar and the set up was so cool, it was pretty packed with it being Halloween weekend but it was such a cool atmosphere! We ended up getting seats at the bar and the two bartenders were so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with deciding what drinks we wanted to try! The tacos.....the octopus is the BEST, chorizo was second best for me. Pictures aren't the greatest, but it's the best I got. Definitely a great time if you're feeling fancy 🍶 It's not cheap, but I'd say definitely worth it for the food, drinks, staff and just the atmosphere of it all.“

“Went here tonight for my wife’s birthday. We just moved out to the east end this winter and have been trying to find good spots for a night out. This place has surpassed dinners we’ve had on vacations. Our food was incredible. Everything was absolutely delicious and looked just as good, if not better. We cannot wait to go back and try other things on their menu.
We ordered the bucatini and the chicken parm for our entrees and they were both incredible. The bucatini was perfect. I cannot recommend this place enough.“

This was all of our first time at the restaurant. We were seated in the side 1 table room, the service was great, it was like our own little space. My wife & I got the 2 Tomahawk steaks, bone marrow, asparagus, & shoestring fries. Everything was amazing, we all got different starters to share. We got the pig candy, all starters were great! There was not one complaint from the table, we will definitely be back. I have known the owner for a very long time, & been to his other places & been just as satisfied.
