“I mostly get a ham on roll here. That's about it. I love their ham. The only thing I take issue with is how the assemble their sandwiches. I don't like that the mayo is put on top of the lettuce because then the lettuce becomes coated in it and it makes the sandwich messy. Mayo should go on the roll. I also don't like that the onions and tomatoes are put on top of the meat. It should be may, lettuce, tomato and onion then any cheese and/or meat. I have to basically put my own mayo on when I get home and reassemble my sandwich.“

“Usually get a tuna salad but decided to get an Italian this time and IT was kinda a letdown...I've never had someone dump so much oil on my sandwhich!! It was barely edible by the time I got home because the roll was just mush...and the ends of tomato's do not belong in sandwhiches...plus a banana pepper stem...guess it just wasn't my day...because usually they are very good...“

“I have been going to V&S for over 40 years, only place I ever get an Italian sandwich, love V&S! Just wondering if you recently changed your rolls? I always get a hard roll, however today my roll wasn’t the same and it even looked different and taste different, it wasn’t mixed up for a soft roll, I watched the young man wrap it and thought then the roll looked different, didn’t say anything, I’m not complaining maybe a little disappointed“

“Food was prepared on the spot with care and efficiency. The girl that took my order was bilingual she immediately picked up my Mom's accent and replied in Spanish. The coffee was fresh. And the 2 girls that were working didn't stop preping, organizing or cleaning the whole time we we there eating...great job!“

“The hoagies are delicious but the way customers are served is ridiculous. If a customer physically walks into the place to place an order, that customer should not have to wait for over an hour to have their order fulfilled because of a backlog of online orders. Face to face customers should be served first. That’s how other sandwich shops do it.“

“Best food and drinks in Reading. Always great music playing. It's a restaurant and bar all in one. Will be hanging out there every weekend. I recommend it to everyone in Reading. It's name doesn't do it justice. Should change the name from Ninth Street Subs to Ninth Street Suds or 9th St Club. Weeeepaaaa! Goooozaaaa!“

“When I go to Subway, I like this particular location. Facility is always clean, well air-conditioned, people are friendly and the sandwiches Just taste a little fresher. HOWEVER this company has joined the list of food franchises that gouges their customers. $14 for a 6 inch sub, bag of chips and a small drink is too much. They then try to steer you towards their app with better deals as they collect your personal data. There is a local deli down the street named Oliver’s for the same price or less. You get a bigger sandwich at the same quality. I’m guessing subway has more buying power than Oliver’s. I have successfully boycott at McDonald’s and Chick-fil-A for these reasons. I think Subway is next on my list. Again, this is a great restaurant and I enjoy it, but I do not know how much longer I am going to pay these prices.“

“Great staff at this location, which is inside a TopStar Gas station. Our office is nearby, and we usually place orders through the app for pickup. They do a great job at handling pretty large orders, and are always friendly when I go into pick up. Food consistently above average for a Subway.“

“I’m in town for a few days. Stopped bye on a late Monday evening. Just before closing. Got the most incredible California Cheesesteak . So Good! Packed with meat sauce and the fixings ! “My friend and I order sandwiches from V & S (Lancaster Ave) every 2 weeks. Last week, we ordered the Cuban sandwiches for the first time. All the sandwiches I've had there have been wonderful - tasty, full of meat and cheese, rolls fresh. (I wish they still had the prosciutto and provolone like years ago. I loved those!) But the Cubans - not that good. I know we're not in Miami, but it tasted like the sandwiches were pressed on the grill, not on a panini iron. You could even see what might be bits of steak and onions on the outside of the rolls, that contributed to the weird flavor. We'll still order because we haven't had better sandwiches! Not he Cubans. (The fries are great, pizza not.) Keep on cooking!“
