“What a hidden gem! We had the BEST dinner sitting on the rooftop tonight. The chicken za’tar & greek salmon were delicious; also highly recommend the Mediterranean Duo. Our waiter Mikel was so friendly, attentive and accommodating. All around a great experience.“

“I traveled from Ann arbor for the weekend and wanted to visit Lourdas. I hadn't been there for years but it is as lovely and inviting as it was years ago. We had grilled Octopus salad and soupa avgolemono. Then we had shrimp Lourdas and lamb chops. They were both delectable. We took baklava and galactobureko home for dessert. The staff were attentive and patient and the other patrons seemed to be regulars with a few newbies here and there. I can't wait to go back!!“

“Flavorful, delicious, enough food for two people, and healthy. Cash only, $20. No substitutions, no menu, no cutlery, no plastic bags, no water, no napkins, long wait in line, and just one food item to choose from--whatever he's cooking that day. It's the most amazing mediterranean street food you'll have in Philly.“

“Aria’s is fantastic, every item I’ve gotten from their menu has been full of flavor and so delicious! My favorites are the chicken kebab, lamb gyro, hummus, babaghanoush, baklava, and cucumber salad. I try to get something new as an entree each time I visit. The service is wonderful and everyone who run the restaurant are so kind and generous, thank you so much ???!
Parking: There is plenty metered parking on the street and in a parking lot directly across the street that is free at certain times.“

“I had a great experience at the Cava Germantown location! The food was fresh and flavorful as always, but I have to give a special shoutout to Artese. His energy, attention to detail, and generous servings really stood out. You can tell he takes pride in making sure people leave satisfied. Definitely made my visit feel more personal and worth it. Appreciate you, Artese!“

“I grew up on homemade Middle Eastern food made daily by my parents, so I’m very picky when it comes to authenticity. I’ve tried a few places that just didn’t hit the mark—but AL SHAM in Chalfont is a straight 10/10!! They serve real Arabic bread (pita)—not tortillas disguised as pita like you find at other places—and their homemade Lebanese toum (garlic aioli) is the real deal. One bite of their falafel wrap instantly transported me to a boardwalk in Lebanon, overlooking the Mediterranean—complete with fresh bread, Lebanese pickles, and those perfect pickled turnips. The meat is 100% Halal and you can taste the quality. Flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. **This is the kind of spot you want to support. We’ll be back again and again—do yourself a favor and try them ASAP**“

“We recently decided to grab CAVA on our way home, and the first CAVA we went to we did not have a good experience so we decided to just walk out and drive to the nearest CAVA which was 20 minutes away and when we arrive to the other location, which was this location, they were getting ready to close the store, but the employees were very welcoming and kind and took our order right away and even gave a sample pita chips to our kids to try just in case if they didn’t like it and we just decided to let them know how great they are doing and how wonderful we felt once we felt the CAVA hospitality. We just appreciate the fact that they made us feel appreciated and valued. I knew they was tired because it was close to closing time but they still shared a smile with us. Jeniah and Devin really blessed us. Praying for an abundance of favor and blessings over them and the establishment!“

“When Dear Daphni first opened it used to be my favorite happy hour spot in Philly. I appreciated the emphasis on the middle eastern tradition of sharing food at the table. Everything is delicious and plentiful. I liked having an alternative to Laser Wolf that was not supporting Michael Solomonov, as I don’t approve of his business practices or values. It was nice to be able to have a good value drink and vegetarian meal.
This last visit we were informed that they now charge a la carte for everything with no refills. What was once the best deal in Philly now is the same as you’ll find at any overpriced restaurant. While the food is still amazing, it doesn’t stand out from the crowd now that they’ve strayed from those values. I understand the rising prices of food everywhere. But to go from free unlimited mezze, rice, and dessert with any entree right to an extra $36 with no refills was simply absurd. I think this could have been done in a way that at least eases you into price increases. Maybe have fewer mezze, even one mezze special. Maybe include free refills. Maybe charge a la carte per mezze. This change is going to leave many customers feeling blindsided and it breaks trust with regulars like me. I would still recommend the delicious food here, but it’s no longer a top restaurant in Philly for me. I am sad because I used to recommend this spot to everyone, now I am more hesitant. (As a side note they also got rid of my favorite mezze, the pistachio dip. double whammy…)
That being said, almost everything I have tried is so good. The hummus, muhammara, salmon kebab, eggplant, broccoli, ice cream, and all drinks are spectacular. The greek salad and filo saganaki left me less than impressed. I just think they need more vegetarian options for entrees now that you have to pay for the mezze.
Literally grieving this place! It was good while it lasted :(“

“This might be the best date spot in the Philadelphia suburbs. The food is absolutely delicious … my wife and I feel like we are eating in the Mediterranean.
The menu is a little overwhelming but the arctic char, salmon, and branzino are absolutely incredible and the mezze appetizers are always so fresh and tasty.
Service could be a little faster, but hard to complain! Love this place!“

“I was visiting Villanova and a good friend brought me to Nova Grill. The owner was over the top nice and accommodating. His Greek Hospitality did shine. Instantly felt like a regular. The place was spotless and well set up. All cleanliness and proper measure were followed perfectly. The food was plentiful, cooked and presented well and hot ( often forgot these days). The Locaniko ( Loukaniko) was spot on in flavor. I will most definitely stop in again when in the area. Highly recommended.“

“Friendly, clean, and delicious. I’m not a picky person, so when I saw that they finally opened an Halal spot in Franklin Mills mall, I was hype. We went here before the movies and the girls were so attentive and nice. Highly recommended. Will come back and it’s my first time!“

“Good, fairly priced Israeli food place. The owner is very nice and shared the correct pronunciation of sabich to me once. The place is good for a quick meal and outing with fellow grad students bc they can take care of different diet preferences. I have taken almost all my friends here.
The hummus is super creamy and really good. The pita is the best around. My boyfriend is Israeli and this is one of the few places he approves of in both phl and bos.“

“Loved our brunch today. We stumbled on this place while visiting Philly. Was intrigued by all the Zagat stickers and went inside. Sampled the weekend brunch menu, Moroccan eggs, crab benedict, French toast and the spinach quiche. All dishes were delicious. But, since I had never had Moroccan eggs before, was very excited about trying that and so enjoyed the spice combo. Also really enjoyed the Moroccan tea. Lovely neighborhood bistro. Fabulous service and experience. Highly recommend.“

“We have been searching for a local Mediterranean place and let me tell you, we have FOUND it! We ordered a lot to really get a feel for it: The mini sampler (comes with falafel, hummus, baba ghanoush, and dolmas) Mixed kebabs (chicken, kafta, lamb) Chicken shawarma Baklava Genuinely nothing was bad. The mixed kebabs were grilled to perfection, all entrees come with delicious yellow rice, a slice of pita with hummus on it, and a salad. And the mini sampler is the best! You get a little bit of everything. All tasty. Whether you like eating everything separately, or mixing it all together, I don’t think you can go wrong with anything here. I also got baklava and it sometimes isn’t my favorite because some places put extra honey, but I’m not kidding when this was the BEST baklava I’ve ever had. And it was my fiancé’s first time trying baklava and he mentioned it might now be a top 10 dessert for him! The owner and workers are so kind too! We will definitely be back.“

“From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food is outstanding—everything from the authentic Neapolitan-style pizza, with its perfectly charred crust and rich, flavorful sauce, to the homemade pasta and classic Italian dishes was absolutely delicious. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, and the flavors speak for themselves. But what really made our night special was the amazing service at the bar, thanks to Nick and Jack. These two are hands-down some of the best bartenders in Newtown Square! Not only are they knowledgeable about cocktails, wine, and beer selections, but they also make every guest feel like a regular. Their energy, professionalism, and attention to detail set them apart. Whether you’re looking for the perfect craft cocktail or just great conversation, Nick and Jack make the bar experience at Carmine’s unforgettable. If you’re in the Newtown Square area and looking for delicious Italian food, a great bar, and top-tier service, Carmine’s is the place to go. We can’t wait to come back!“

“Excellent food! Highly recommended.“
“After hearing many good things we had them for dinner tonight. We each got a wrap: the “favalafel”, chicken schnitzel, and beef brisket, plus we got the spicy lamb hand pie and “bff” crispy potatoes to share. The favalafel was tasty although the person ordering it suggested they’ll add hummus next time for some extra binder. The schnitzel was also tasty although a bite or two was more on the spicy side than the rest due to a concentration of the spread there. The beef brisket was a real stand-out although a bit messy to eat because of the sauce. The spicy lamb had a nice crisp wrapper and was spicy as advertised. The crispy potatoes were fried to perfection and the zhoug-black garlic ketchup was a nice accompaniment. We will definitely be ordering from here again!“

“The best sujukh in USA. And very delicious lahmajun which is one of two productions available on the East coast, for the residents of NJ and NY.
The life is becoming expensive, the prices are going up everywhere. So the box of dozen became 10. That's ok, that's understandable.
But ... don't downsize and don't skimp on the meat.“

“What a gem! I don’t know how I’ve never noticed this place despite having been to the paint store next door so often. Easily one of the best Italian restaurants in Montco. Incredible service; everyone was super kind and accommodating and our water glasses were never empty. The food came out super fast despite several large celebrations taking place. Generous portion sizes, fresh seafood and some of the most delectable handmade pasta dishes. It was such a treat to see sacchetti on a menu outside of Italy. The pear and cheese filling and sauce were incredibly unique and the pasta was ever so delicate. They were also very accommodating of our 15 month old son. We will be back soon and next time won’t forget to BYOB!“

“Toska (Töska?) is a laid-back two-storey restaurant in what I would say is the main drag (or village center) of Mount Airy. The décor is simple, spare, and there are attractive blown-glass-looking accents strung on cables. The server was quite friendly, which in Philadelphia is not a given. We ordered eggplant parmesan sitting atop fettuccine in the requisite marinara sauce, which my husband liked a great deal, and a Wagyu burger on brioche, which was surprisingly good: the bacon was done exactly right, not sliced too thickly, and the burger was medium-rare as I had asked. French fries are decent, certainly abundant, but they're a little flaccid (they are, however, "real" fries, not the heated-up deep-freeze variety we see so often). A salad with cucumber and fennel and small tomatoes was perfect, as was the burrata on a bed of arugula with slightly roasted small tomatoes and a vinaigrette. I like a slightly more room-temperature burrata and one that is a bit less firm, but this one was fine. The ambience is good, except that the much-touted wood-burning oven perfumes the entire restaurant a little more than it should. Also, it would be good to have sparkling bottled water on the menu.“

“First time at the Ale House and we were really happy we went! Great bartenders/waitstaff, delicious portions of Fish & Chips and Roast Beef Sandwich w/ skinny fries, sadly we didn't save room for dessert. Definitely a sports bar vibe w/ 8 big screen TVs in the bar area. Did not get a look at the dining room but it seems to be a good size.
Will absolutely be back!“

“Okay, wow. This place seriously hits different. The food was soooo good like, the kind of good where you’re full but still keep eating because it’s just that tasty. The kabobs were juicy, the lamb was on point, and don’t even get me started on the baklava😩👌“

“Stumbled upon Pita Chip while looking for a quick halal lunch during a visit to Philly. I didn’t know what to expect, but the combo over rice was flavorful and satisfying—hit the spot without being too heavy. The food came out quickly and had a nice balance of spices and sauces. If I lived in Philly, this would definitely be one of my go-to spots for casual, reliable halal food. Great option for a quick bite that doesn’t compromise on taste.“

“Let me start by saying I love the food at The Halal Guys so much that I ate there pretty much 4/4 nights a week for a year straight after work before trimming it back. I've never done that with any other restaurant. The gentleman I spoke to leaving the restaurant the other night said he drove 40 minutes to come enjoy the food. All of the food is very fresh. They are always cooking fresh chicken and beef. All the veggies are a great addition to the platter along with the fresh rice that is always being replenished. The hummus is very good and when you add the chili based hot sauce and mix it up, it's heaven. For those who can't handle the heat, there's their very popular "white sauce". King of Prussia is always very busy. Please do not let "Bobby Bobby" deter you from going to The Halal guys. He clearly doesn't understand the restaurant business......no crime. Look at his bowl. It has chicken and rice ONLY. Evidently he thinks since he is afraid of eating veggies that the rest of his bowl should be filled with extra meat. Sorry Bobby Bobby; that is not how any restaurant works. This place gives a ton of food. I rarely finish my small bowl and have never ordered a large one. In this business you could have the best product and location but take away top notch customer service and a highly dedicated GM/owner and get ready for your "Grand Closing". Caesar has been the GM at KOP for years now and I've never seen him have a bad day. He always has a smile on his face and treats all of his customers with the utmost respect. His customer service is exceptional. This is extremely rare. How do I know this? 35 years in the restaurant industry. Hail Caesar!!“
