“Red Star is a small town bar that has been around since I was a kid, the owner (Serb) is a wonderful man who contributes to the community and is Highly respected in this Area, if anyone has had any problems here then it was your own doing, they are not rude and welcome everyone who walks in the door. If you did have a problem and didn't speak to the owner about it then shame on you, he would have handled the situation. Red Star is a bar to sit down and listen to the old timers talk about the old days, have a drink and yes, smoke a cigarette. We are a small coal mining town who still love the good old fashioned ways of life.“

“We visited Rizzle’s Roadhouse for the first time today! It is half bar and half restaurant so we expected the typical bar food. WHAT A SURPRISE! THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT! There were four of us and we all agree and will go back even though we live an hour away. We had grilled chicken mahi-mahi, ribs and steak - all excellent! You won’t be disappointed!“

“I moved to this area about a year ago and have been here multiple times. Food and service are consistently great!
I have never ordered anything I didn’t like. Best lasagna I’ve ever had! The beans and greens are to die for! The homemade cheesecake is out of this world! One of my favorite things is the Italian beef just in a bowl with a juice and some butter bread! Beautiful bar, with outstanding cocktails! So many unique options on the menu it will make you want to come back time after time just to try them. Great Sunday specials just like Grandma used to make. They also have awesome entertainment during the summer. Brittany is the best bartender I have come across in many years. I really enjoy her company and bubbly demeanor and am so excited when I walk in and see her behind the bar! Keep up the great work!“

“Small town American Legion, great people, friendly atmosphere. They have a back room for events making the facility bigger than it looks from the outside. I appreciate the War Memorial in front of the Legion which is well cared for. Great place to socialize.“

“We had the opportunity to visit Coal Hill Tavern after seeing the amazing Christmas storefronts in downtown Brownsville. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The wings were great and everything else we ate was yummy. The drinks were cheap too! I definitely recommend Coal Hill Tavern!“
