“We visited Rizzle’s Roadhouse for the first time today! It is half bar and half restaurant so we expected the typical bar food. WHAT A SURPRISE! THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT! There were four of us and we all agree and will go back even though we live an hour away. We had grilled chicken mahi-mahi, ribs and steak - all excellent! You won’t be disappointed!“

“We had the opportunity to visit Coal Hill Tavern after seeing the amazing Christmas storefronts in downtown Brownsville. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The wings were great and everything else we ate was yummy. The drinks were cheap too! I definitely recommend Coal Hill Tavern!“

“We were greeting right away. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. We ordered wings. The wings we got were much larger than expected so that's a plus for me. The food was delicious. We got our food pretty quick given how many of us tree guys were there.“

“Was in town for one night and stopped in Griffs on a whim. We had an absolute blast. Nick was playing acoustic and sounded great. The crowd was fun and everyone was pleasant. Doubt we will ever be in the area againbut if we are, we will most definitely be back.“

“Red Star is a small town bar that has been around since I was a kid, the owner (Serb) is a wonderful man who contributes to the community and is Highly respected in this Area, if anyone has had any problems here then it was your own doing, they are not rude and welcome everyone who walks in the door. If you did have a problem and didn't speak to the owner about it then shame on you, he would have handled the situation. Red Star is a bar to sit down and listen to the old timers talk about the old days, have a drink and yes, smoke a cigarette. We are a small coal mining town who still love the good old fashioned ways of life.“

“usually very good food but on my last visit I ordered a Rubin sandwich and told there was only one left. the Rubin was terrible, stale bread and stringy and fatty meat. My suggestion would be don't order anything that is the last one left on the menu.“

My Wife and I both had a burger and fries which was the thursday lunch special for $6.50!!!! I had a half and half tea and she had an incredibly refreshing fountain coke. I think with tip were were out of there for a little over $20. Finding either the perfect medium cooked burger or the perfect batch of fries is rare enough but DAMN!, when you find them together, you have hit on something. Look UNIONTOWN, forget fast food for Thursday lunch! Get your butts in here and keep this great local business going. I live 150 miles away and I will be back. “For a small roadside bar the food is really really great! I'm a wings snob and the wings here check ALL my boxes! Friends also enjoyed the burgers. We have been twice and service was great. Last night there was one bartender and live music so it wasn't slow, but the bartender (sadly, I didn't get her name) was ON TOP OF IT! We NEVER waited for a refill and she often checked in on our large group to make sure we had all we needed. We WILL be back!“

“We have been dining here for 35 years! Sadly, Les and Pauline have passed, but Edmund is continuing the excellence. Just visited for our daughter's birthday and it was perfect. The crab hoelzel and mafalda are delicious appetizers. Chicken parm is unique and yummy,ditto for the lobster Romano. We often disappointed with pricy meals, but never here. It is old school, so not for everyone, but we love it.“

“On Saturday I had to call 911 for a friend that was in physical distress and was very sick. Monessen Fire Dept/EMS showed up as they knew the ambulance was delayed. They treated my friend promptly and with the utmost kindness and respect. She and I both really appreciated their true concern and the sincere respect they showed for her in a very dire circumstance. She has been hospitalized since and has been talking about these guys everyday since. Thank you very much!“
