Hank's Place - Chadds Ford Reviews
Have loved Hank’s for many years for breakfast and lunch and now love their dinners!
Everything about it…the people that work there, the food, even the prices are not bad.
I’ve been twice to Hanks for breakfast, one around 2022 in the old building and just this past week Nov 2025 to see their new building. Both were very disappointing visits, food terrible ( Waffles in 2022 , pumpkin pancakes in 2025), neither edible (first undercooked, no flavor, 2nd dense, dry, artificial flavor), horribly cheap artificial syrup, coffee terrible. Prices too high and very, very noisy inside of full, nearly impossible to talk to those at you table. Servers...read full review

Hank's Place is a community spot with a historic role in the local art scene. The menu has unique items. Food is outstanding, including the Eggs Benedict with cream chipped beef, French toast, omelets, mac and cheese, the triple decker, the meatball sub, and the Chicken Parm. Desserts are also works of art. The newly renovated location is a nice local diner where staff regularly checks up on customers. However, service needs some work. For larger parties, expect to wait, and it can be confusing without a hostess. Some found the noise level hard to manage in the big, open, pretty building. Prices are considered high by some, costing $64 for three people. While one reviewer loved the new building, another liked the place better before the remodel. Critiques include undercooked pancakes and sausage, and only two bathrooms for customers and staff. Despite these issues, the food is as good as ever, making it well worth a visit.
