“Absolute best experience I could have asked for! Aaliyah is the model server who just so happened to be the bartender because we didn't have reservations. That leads to me letting you know to make a reservation. It was 3 of us and we tried almost everything! Drinks, food, and service were all great! Frird green tomatoes, gumbo, corn bread, and catfish were my top choices. I had a whiskey sour and the strawberry lemonade which were great as well. I would go back in a heartbeat!“

“Enjoyed this favorite NoLibs eatery recently for lunch with some friends. As always, the offerings on the menu include foods that my mother made on a regular basis. If you’re seeking a plate of comfort food for lunch, go to Honeys for lunch and take the other half home for dinner.Kid-friendliness: Comfort food is for little kids and big kids!Wheelchair accessibility: My lunch companion’s motorized wheelchair chair fits comfortably for inside and outside dining.“

“Nice BBQ spot in the cut. It is a spot for to-go. When I opened the door the cook what there to greet me. I ordered BBQ Brisket Sandwich w/ Pork & Beans and Mac & Cheese. Cornbread came with it. The BBQ sauce was nice and sweet and savory. Good taste. I'll say I've taste that sauce before for sure. Brisket was a delicious and well seasoned. Mac & Cheese was okay. It should use different cheese and seasonings but I still ate it. Pork & Beans was my favoriteeee - nice sweet & smokey sauce for the pork and beans. Cornbread was not that good. Service was great! I would definitely come back and try other items on the menu. Nice location.“

“Our visit to South Flavors was truly memorable. The vibrant atmosphere complemented the delightful culinary offerings. Notably, the cheese fries and burger were satisfying choices. The standouts, however, were the cheesesteak and jerk egg rolls – each a burst of unique flavors. The colossal onion rings added a fulfilling crunch to the meal, making our dining experience rich in variety and satisfaction.“

“My boyfriend and I dined here on Saturday, January 27, 2024. He had the Jerk Salmon Pasta and I had the Salmon and Shrimp Cajun Pasta which was delicious. We had the Honey Gsrlic Chicken wings and they were good but spicy. The cornbread was not good. For dessert we had the Peach Cobbler and the Banana Pudding Ice Cream. The icecream had freezer burn and the cobbler was okay but we would not get them again. Our server, Saalim was very professional and polite. If we are ever in the area again we may try them again.“

The ft townies can't be bothered to keep an eye on them so be prepared to hear kids screaming non-stop while their dad tries to parallel park an F-250 XXL.“

“Overall, a solid 7.5/10. A decent experience, however I feel that I could have found food just as good for half the price, albeit without the service and atmosphere.Service was great overall, however we felt the server was pushing the specials a bit too much. Servers and bartenders were attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was nice with all black decor and low, warm lighting. The cocktails were pretty good, however a bit pricey for drinks with pretty average liquor. The food was good, however not good enough for me to come back at the price point. We ordered:- Peking duck spring rolls: 6.5/10 - the Peking duck filling and dipping sauce were nice, however they were very small and the wrapper felt more as if it were baked than fried.- Pork soup dumpling: 8/10 - these tasted very very good, especially with the vinegar sauce. Unfortunately they are quite small, and half of them arrived at our table burst with no soup inside them. The presentation was also lackluster as they were poorly placed in the steaming basket.- Beef and tomato fried 0 - this was good, but a bit bland/boring. For $17 I would expect more than 5 little pieces of beef in a large portion of fried rice. The tomato flavor was okay but tasted like they could be canned. I could go to Aldi and make this better for $5.- Braised lamb with rock 0 - this was recommended by our server after we were discouraged from getting something else. It was pretty mediocre. The lamb tasted like dry beef chuck roast and was not worth nearly $30.While they were accommodating for my sesame allergy, one item did arrive at our table with sesame seeds. The server noticed quickly and brought it back for a new one, however this did mean that we were served the two components of our main meal about 15 minutes apart. We were excited to go here but pretty underwhelmed by the food, especially since we spent $110 between two people.Parking: Free street parking on Sunday. 2-3 hr limit most street parking around the area. Go up 9th st for parking that is free 24/7 every day. The lots are way more expensive and I’ve never had a big issue finding parking outside of them.“
