“Update on review: the owner did reach out to work on this issue. It was not explained by the waiter that the surcharge is removed when paying with cash nor did he attempt to return it. Anyhow their food is really good, so I would recommend you try them. Will not recommend anymore. Owner was nice, food very good but... My guys took me out to supper last night for mother's day. 🌹 When the bill came, Kev said "look at this". It was a credit card surcharge put on our bill. We got a hold of the waiter & said we're paying cash, why was this added even before you knew what we were doing? He said we charge everyone this no matter how they pay, to cover the cost of the fees they pay for having a credit card company. We said that's not right. He got a little cocky & said all restaurants are doing it, welcome to PA. No, all restaurants aren't doing it. Needless to say, this left a bad taste in our mouths. 🤨. which is sad cause the food is good Now, we understand if we'd used a card, that meant that we agreed to a surcharge. But not with cash. Why should cash costumers be penalized to pay a surcharge when they don't use this option?! Let's say I order a TV service & you have to pay the surcharge. You're not using my TV, so why should you pay for the service?!!! Right?! 😡 Say they get $2 from so many cash costumers a night , that adds up to a nice chunk of change, I mean bills. CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS PEOPLE!!!!!🤨”

“My Husband and I stopped here fore breakfast today for the first time. We had the best breakfast in years with a great price. The atmosphere and people are also very relaxing and friendly. Highly recommend.”

“Amazing food! My husband and I were passing through and wanted to stop somewhere for local cuisine and we were not at all disappointed! Our Station House is dedicated to emergency services (firefighters, police and EMT’s), offering pub-style food. I cannot begin to tell you how absolutely delicious my husband and my burgers and fries both were. I opted for the Dilly Burger, which tastes exactly how it sounds. Everything about it had to do with dill and lots of pickles! My husband had one of the specials that wasn’t listed on the menu. I believe it was called The Little Italy. Another absolutely wonderful burger! The service was impeccable, and the establishment is cozy and reminiscent of what the place stands for and that is community. You’ll see firefighter jackets and different types of headgear hanging on the walls. Lunch dinner and dessert with table service. Bar on site with a great beer, selection, wine, and cocktails. Coffee, happy hour and late night foods. Highest recommendation to anybody who hasn’t been and hope that I end up passing through again at one point just so I can stop here and eat!!! Good for kids with kids menus, and high chairs. Free parking lot with plenty of spaces. “My girlfriend and I wondered in to Nanty Glo off the Ghost Town Bike Trail on Saturday April 4 during the COVID-19 lockdown. Almost all businesses were closed and we decided to bike thru town only to find Al's OPEN for takeout. We got to enjoy some delicious pizza slices, a cold drink and a piece of Al's delicious homemade pie. If you're biking in, make Al's a must-stop. You'll be supporting a great local business and enjoying some delicious food too!! RECOMMENDED!!!”

“My wife Melissa and I visited on May 21, 2025 for dinner. The burger was perfectly cooked and seasoned, very delicious! Melissa enjoyed her pizza burger as well. The server was attentive and responsive, anticipating refills and other needs consistently. An awesome experience, and we will definitely return in the future!”
