“It was our first time visiting this honeygrow and by far I would say it’s the best one we’ve been in. The manager Mona welcomed and greeted us as we came in the restaurant. She offered to help us if we needed any help. We ordered our food and went to find a table. A little while later she brought our food to the table which was a surprise to us we thought we had to go up and get it ourselves as we have done in other Honeygrow’s. She was very pleasant. “Chestnut Hill Brewing offers a cozy taproom that works especially well for groups of four. The brewery is attached to the Chestnut Hill Hotel and serves an upscale gastropub-style menu. The Bang Bang Broccoli hit the spot and was something a little different from what we normally order. Hopzs Brown Ale, was our favorite beer in the flight. Overall this is a great stop for good food and beer while staying at the inn or passing through into Philly.“

“Have been twice so far. I recommend ordering to pick up online. It’ll be way quicker than in person. So far I’ve tried their cheesesteak, chicken cheesesteak, grandma pizza, and vodka chicken pie. I love that their portion of steak and chicken is hefty and that their bread is fresh, it makes them so worth the drive.“

“We have found our new favorite spot! Sat outside in CHBC’s fantastic beer garden on a beautiful Saturday early evening. The Biergarten was spacious and had a great vibe and very friendly servers. Don’t forget to bring your canine best friend to this dog friendly spot. While we didn't bring a dog of our own, we loved interacting with everyone else's four-legged friends.

The food, service, and drink selection are all impressive and on point. As someone who only consumes plant-based meals, I was thrilled to find so many amazing vegan options on the menu. The vegan cheesesteak, falafel burger, and chickpea tinga nachos are all delicious and highly recommended, but they also have equally delicious options for carnivores that looked really good. We cannot wait to come back and try the pizza next time.

For drinks, I ordered non-alcoholic beer, but as a beer enthusiast at a brewery, I couldn't help but notice the impressive body, clarity, and color of the house beers being served around us. They have a great variety of appealing styles that will easily please most palates. Highly recommend this place!“

“We love this place. We live in Philly, but just stumbled on it one day. Maybe it’s the owner, but a visit there feels like a special occasion . The appetizer of pita with a variety of dips is incredible, and filling. Next to come are dishes of souvlaki, falafel, lamb brochettes, vegetables, rice and salad. They are known for outstanding baklava (even for those who think they don’t like baklava), AND chocolate mousse. We have brought relatives and friends here from Washington, D.C. and Harrisburg, and all were thrilled .“

“This is the closest I've felt to an Italian pizzeria since... Italy. I was looking around the whole time I was eating like ... Am I really in the basement of the Comcast building?! Eating like this?! It is so unprepossessing, with the feel, service, and pizza of a genuine neighborhood pizzeria in Testaccio. From the attention to fresh, local ingredients to the casual but elegant vibe of the place and the handmade, complimentary biscotti with the espresso... I honestly teared up a little. It's so hard to find a comfortably elegant place with a thoughtful, concise menu, reasonablly sized portions, and reasonable pricing. The seasonal caprese salad with the local peaches was an explosion of flavor because everything was local and seasonal and handmade and simple and perfect. It's a little piece of Testaccio in downtown Philly.

How delightful to find this in the first floor of what looks like a corporate office building.
