“Went in with my entire family for a late lunch. We were seated quickly and our order was taken. Within 10 minutes we all had our bowls of Pho. Fresh, hot and delicious. This place does it right. Best Pho in South Philly.

“Really great food- we had the shrimp fried rice, noodle bowl and wings (salt + pepper). All meals were so tasty even the spring rolls! Wings were crispy, well seasoned and tasty. Restaurant staff are very nice and welcoming. We sat in, only 4 tables. It was a good dining experience not like a sit down restaurant for example you order at the desk, and there’s no waiter. So casual and lovely vibes! Definitely recommend and will be ordering again!!“

“Wow, truly a 5 star experience. More than just a great meal, we will be remembering this evening for a while. The owner greeted us as we entered for a late dinner. We enjoyed a truly delicious meal. The Golden Bags fried dumplings filled with shrimp and crab were so good! And the seafood curried pineapple fried rice was the best pineapple fried rice I’ve ever had.

And it was one of the staff’s birthday so we ended up staying till around an hour after closing drinking and doing karaoke together. Delicious food and a great time making friends with the owner, staff, and a couple who had just come in to pick up their takeout order but ended up doing karaoke with us! Thanks so much, we can’t wait to visit again next time we are in town, and we wish we knew any place remotely like this at home.“

“Checked out this place last night for my husband birthday and we were so thrilled!! All the food and cocktails were amazing!! we ordered all the appetizers , top 2 were the octopus and bo tai chanh , watercress salad was also a tasty one. thit kho and a bowl of rice was a hit combo!! leaving full and happy, also their matcha ice cream was a great dessert . “This is currently the only Vietnamese spot in the mall, located upstairs by the food court. It’s a canteen style setup—you order at the counter and help yourself to condiments at the self serve station, so don’t wait for a server. They’ll give you a number and you’ll pick up your food when it’s ready. I tried the Short Ribs Deluxe Pho and the Banh Mi, both were pretty good, and the short rib portion was huge, I even had to take some home.“

“Carolyn's has very innovative food that blends Vietnamese and Cajun cuisine. The highlight of the meal was the whole fried branzino which had a cornmeal crust. “Wanted to give this a try for takeout. There are about 4 seat along a bar facing the window, but it's very cramped. My hubs got the beef pho and I got the bun with grilled pork. Plus we got an order of spring rolls (2). Total was $37.
Everything was packaged and transported fine. The meat was raw, wrapped in plastic, which was kinda funny, but it cooked up well once we put it in the broth. The noodles in my order was over cooked.
The service was slow for us. The lady who ordered behind me got two bahn mi's and her order came out before ours. *shrug*
It's worth it for a quick, cheap take out and tasty.“
