“TL;DR: The food is great!

Came here for the first time tonight with my wife (great pick, babe!) and the experience was excellent. I call it an experience because it truly felt like one! We arrived not knowing what to expect and started at the kiosk area, began looking through the menu there when the nice woman behind the counter asked if we might like to eat in the dining room. I thought she meant the open area, but no! There is a cozy space off the the side of the kitchen that somehow looks straight out of the future, yet has a rustic feel. The slightly varied blue tones paired with the dark brick evoked a calm and welcoming aura.

The food is simply fantastic. My wife started with the ...cauliflower appetizer which she loved (I'm not a cauliflower fan myself) and I tried the mozzarella sticks which were some of the best I had. The were light and at first I thought maybe I got one where the cheese all fell out, but nope! completely filled, crisp and delicious.

We both had gyros, which came with pita chips that are just to die for. Light, crispy and deliciously paired with humus. My Steak gyro was the best I've had...and the same for the perogies. My great grandmother used to make her own, and these are the best I've had since then.

The piece de resistance: The apple perogies! Hot, sweet little pockets of culinary joy, they reminded me of empanadas. Next time we'll know to get 2 orders. So glad we saved room for dessert!

“Absolutely sensational cheesesteak from Davinci’s Pizzeria in Whitehall. The meat was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The house sliced Cooper Cheese 🧀 was generously applied, as well as perfectly fried onions. The sandwich came together in Harmony on a seeded Liscio's Bakery submarine roll. You may have it toasted, which I believe is their standard or untoasted. I asked for an untoasted roll, and it was fresh as can be. Janis, who runs the show here, was an absolute delight! She answered a few questions I had with integrity and a smile. We talked about Allentown’s 6th Ward and we know some of the same people. She provided me a sample of their house made fries and house dipping sauce. The dipping sauce recipe wasn’t divulged, and for good reason! The fries are cut similar to a Frito Scoop, which is great for the dipping sauce! The cheesesteak was well above average, in my opinion. This steak is in the discussion for me with the elite shops in the area. The top photo is fresh at the shop. Bottom photo is after is was wrapped and brought home. I highly recommend Davinci’s. “Absolute favorite place for date night or "just because". The vibe is cool and trendy without being ostentatious. Love the decor, dark ceiling (gives you the feeling of eating outside under the stars), music, etc. Our servers have always been 100% on point (Thursday we had Helen who truly knows how to "read the room", let us have space but checked on us, super friendly and personable). And the food? Perfect! I have never been let down by anything we've enjoyed there. We've discovered our favorite wine (Jasci Montepulciano d'Abruzzo - organic) and have enjoyed their custom cocktails too! The BEST!“

“We were in Allentown for a concert yesterday and wanted to grab some good tailgating food. We found Chez’s on Google and are so glad we did. We got two sandwiches for our tailgate and they were both huge and delicious. The prices were very fair for what you get and the lady who was working the counter was so sweet and personable! Chez’s alone would bring us back to Allentown and we live two hours away! I definitely recommend trying them out!“

“Just had an amazing authentic Mexican Lunch at Tijuana Tacos on 309 in Quakertown. I had the chicken flautas, my husband had their Birria Tacos. The consomme was on point!!! Both were exceptionally well prepared. They give free fresh tortilla chips with beans and queso fresco crumbles right as you sit down. “Everyone is always so friendly. The restaurant can be on the messy side during busy lunch and dinner times. Trash overflowing, trash and food on floors, tables not cleaned off. The Trexlertown location could use more front of house staff. Food is always pretty good, but we often have errors/missing items, especially when we eat in and they bring us the food. The food prep prople need to double check the order before bringing it out to the table.“
