“Went here on a recommendation from a friend who happens to be a bartender at La Rosa. We were definitely impressed! From our greeting when we went in, conversation at the bar, then promptly being seated everything was perfect. After ordering our food was delivered very quickly. Great portion size and very tasty. Good enough that we chose to I’ve tea our meals and bring dessert home. 😁 Nothing about this visit disappointed and we are already planning a return visit in a couple weeks with some family. This place is a small gem and I can see it being a go to place for many. Thank you Rion and Cat as well as the rest of the staff. You were all wonderful!“

“Picciocchi’s Pasta is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! From the moment we sat down, we were greeted with excellent service. We ordered the calamari and meatballs. The calamari was so tender, and the meatballs were so good, we took an order home with us. Chef Picciocchi was out and about the entire time checking on every table. He made you feel like a VIP. He made a recommendation for my dinner and it was incredible- Chicken Scallopini with pesto spaghetti. My son ate all of his pizza, and Chef Picciocchi made him an additional two slices! “My husband and I decided to try this place for the first time and we were amazed! We started with potato pancakes, calamari, and the mozzarella en Carozza and it was like it was touched by the hand of God it was so delicious! Then I had the pretzel chicken with the mashed potatoes and the green beans! I've been looking for pretzel chicken done this way all over the valley and this is the only place that does it the way I like it with the mustard sauce. My dinner also came with a soup and I chose the Italian wedding and it tasted better than mine! My husband had the Joseph's double stuffed crust pizza with pepperoni added on top and we've had other double stuffed crust white pizzas before and this one is at the top of the list! We're definitely coming back and we will be bringing friends and family! Thank you so much for the amazing experience and our waitress was absolutely fantastic and extremely attentive!“

The receptionist told me they would deliver it to my house so I didn’t have to wait. Literally less than 10 minutes later the receptionist who took my order was the one who hand delivered my order to me at my house! “A nice little place that has been in the downtown for close to 20 years. You enter through the bar that is roomy while also having hightop tables. When entering main dining, the first thing we noticed was the piano player, which is a super-cool touch! He played some fun songs, including some of his own, cracked jokes, and also interacted with the crowd while not being intrusive at all. My wife and I each got a martini (Dirty Gin for her and Honey Nut Cheerio for me) and both were delicious. As an appetizer, we got Eggplant Melanzane, which was light, had great flavor, and a delicious vodka sauce. My better half had a Caesar salad with probably the best Caesar dressing we have ever had. I went with the gorgonzola salad that had a nice, tart raspberry vinaigrette. For our entrees, she had the chicken special, which featured thin chicken breast and portobello mushrooms in a port wine sauce, topped with gorgonzola. It was very earthy and deep, a worthy special. I had the Pollo Sambuca, which is the same thin chicken breast with shrimp and mushrooms in a creamy sambuca sauce. It was very flavorful and slightly sweet. The anise is there, but not distracting. This was a solid meal! Our server, Thellenza, was attentive and informative. She made sure we understood all of the specials and took care of anything we asked. The rest of the staff is also helpful, too, and we were never in need of anything for long at all. The adult beverages that we enjoyed were definitely tasty, we just wish they had more of a wine and beer selection. Food: 9 Service: 10 Atmosphere: 10 Adult Drink Selection: 8 Overall: 9.25“

“Have to take time out to write a review on our experience Saturday evening.
Juggling two new grandchildren and doing the college traveling leaves my husband and I barely enough time to talk yet go out to a restaurant. We chose Bar Pazzo as our date night and what a great choice it turned out to be.
The environment is classy and lively, the patrons all come together to share their favorite meal or visit their favorite server. Seeing the crowded restaurant and witnessing a line of people eager to get in was just another validation of a good choice to dine there.
The staff is family and greets everyone with a warm greeting and pleasing attitude. You instantly feel welcomed here.
Our food was being prepared behind a small glass window where you could see the synchronicity' of a true team working together like well oiled machine.
We ordered the Scrantonian pizza, a local favorite for the pepperoni lovers out there. The crust was impeccable and finally we didn’t have to fight out the delicious pepperoni cooked to perfection. The desserts and drinks reflect the staffs creativity all made on premises fresh. The gelato is my favorite!
If you’re looking for an upbeat, classy, pizzeria with exquisite culinary talent take the time to visit Bar Oazzo. It’s worth the wait!

Decor falls between original 1970s and a little updated - but that was charming and likely kept prices so reasonable. “Hands down one of my favorite places to eat REAL authentic Italian food . Never disappointed when I get my chicken calabrese from here !! Not many pull this flavor off and they can make it without sausage ( I don’t eat pork ) and didn’t make me feel Like they were annoyed .. My husband SWEARS by the Rigatoni and meat sauce and my kids will say they loved everything. So let’s just say we have never been disappointed!! This is your FRIENDLY FAMILY neighborhood restaurant the staff is AWESOME from the host to whomever is cooking your meal you will get a warm hello with that GREAT meal !!!“

“I like that it's in walking distance from my apartment at Mulberry Towers. I can go there get milk and pick up something to with my food stamps. I just moved to downtown Scranton and there aren't that many places I can go to within walking distance.I do think it's dark inside and makes it hard to see things. I don't like that you have to buy something and get the keys before you can use restroom. There aren't many places to go downtown and sometimes you really need to go.“

“My experience with Carmella’s was in Jim Thorp during the fall festival. I’m always a sucker for Italian desserts so when I saw Carmellas I had to try something. I got a linzer tart and cannoli. First off the cannoli was one of the best I’ve ever had. They were being filled there, and the flavor of the shell and filling was amazing. Linzer tart cookies are one of my favorites. Not only was this cookie the size of my entire hand it was delicious. The cookie was buttery and flaky and the jelly was the perfect flavor. I wish I lived closer to the actual restaurant because I’d be there every week. 10/10!“

Carmen's has a great menu, excellent appetizers and salads, plus amazing entree dishes including beef, seafood and veal.
