“I have been coming to Uncle Joe’s for years. Can honestly say that I have never had a bad experience or a bad meal here. I have eaten takeout and I have eaten in at the restaurant with family. From pizza to steaks to salads to the Italian dishes and meals. Never once have I had a bad meal. Great place to eat and to enjoy!!“

“I met Marcello and Kiley the week before and New Hope and they invited us to come and have dinner this weekend. We went on Friday and had the back room basically to ourselves there was 10 of us. The food service was outstanding! Came and spoke with us several times, the chef came out, and said hello, our waitress Heather was absolutely incredible so efficient, and yet so loving! we were spoiled rotten! Everyone took home so much food because the portions were enormous. The prices were totally reasonable. “I’ve been coming here since 1964 and it’s still just as good! Hands down- best pizza in Philadelphia! The brothers/brothers in law have retired, but one of the sons is carrying the legacy forward. All they sell is pizza and soda, and only beef and beef pepperoni toppings. It’s no frills, but worth the ride I make every so often from Chestnut Hill. I only wished they took credit cards and stayed open later, but I understand. If you’re a pizza snob like me, do yourself a favor and try King of Pizza?“

“We ordered takeout for a family gathering and had an outstanding experience. We had dietary restrictions that Peppino's easily and correctly accommodated. The staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered Peppino's famous tomato pie, the upside down pizza loaded with fresh toppings, Peppino's awesome Italian hoagie and a juicy Roast Pork sandwich. Every bite was delicious. I highly recommend Peppino's to anyone searching for great Italian pizza and sandwiches in a welcoming, local shop.“

“My boyfriend and I come to the restaurant quite often! Rina, her husband, her father, their daughter, and all staff are amazing! If you walked out or passed by this restaurant, you NEED to try it out! As an ex waitress, sometimes it’s a good idea to make a reservation on a Friday/Saturday night. They have plenty of space to serve you and those you’re with. I know sometimes people can get hopped up because “they’re not getting waited on”, but trust me, they know you’re there, just be patient and the food is always worth it! They’re always accommodating when it comes to your food and choices.

This is THE ONLY restaurant that’s survived this area. I’ve been in this area since 1995 and there have been MANY restaurants here.

We felt comfortable as our kids moved around the room, which was spacious and not cluttered. The food was delicious and fast. “We love Slices and Rolls. While we don't keep strictly kosher we will choose kosher if it's available. Slices and Rolls make it an easy choice because it is not only kosher, it is DELICIOUS! There are some kosher places in the area that if one isn't strictly kosher, one knows that they *only* stay in business because people don't have an alternative. This is *not* true of Slices and Rolls. Their pizza is objectively good - certainly the best kosher option by miles and competitive with any standard pizza shop. It's not fancy but it's good.

I can't say the same for their sushi - specifically because I can't eat it. I have an allergy to corn and they use rice vinegar mixed with corn vinegar in the rice which even if you don't have a corn allergy gives you an idea about the commitment to authenticity. My husband who has eaten it is not so excited to eat it again. Because we aren't strictly kosher (but avoid eating where non-kosher animals are prepared if it's reasonably easy) he prefers to get sushi from the Philadelphia Fish and Lobster Company which is delicious and which I can eat because it uses fully rice vinegar.

“Eda's New Haven Tomato Pie is it! I'm not a fan of the thick/cold standard we have in the local area, so I was excited to try Eda's style. This thing is huuuuge and full of simple but quality flavor. Great New Haven char. You can taste the individual ingredients in every bite. I had like 4 really nice bubbles on my pie too. Beautiful. I'll be back to try the cheese soon!“

“Select is a very nice addition to Warrington. I've visited three tines; twice with my husband who loves the chicken tenders and shrimp and lobster bisque, and with friends. I enjoyed the pancakes and my friends enjoyed the fried chicken and waffles. The food has been consistently flavorful. I ordered the rice bowl with salmon. The portion size was generous, but the salmon was a bit overcooked. The cocktails are varied and absolutely delicious and clearly made with care. The servers have been friendly and attentive. I enjoy the Cage (bar area). It's a fun and cozy atmosphere for adults. I plan to return, soon. I love the place!“

“My husband and I just tried The Iron Oven for the first time. It will definitely not be our last. We went for brunch and enjoyed everything we ordered down to my Drinks. Very reasonable prices and good size portions. The staff is very friendly and sweet. Our waitress Gianna was wonderful and she alone would have had us returning.
