“I was at Slinky and decided to stop on the side of where their bowling location was. I was at the bar and Diane greeted me with a sample of beers that I told her I would drink. All of them were delicious! She was so delightful and I enjoyed meeting her. I will be stopping by for the food and drinks there.”

“If you never had mrs groves then you are missing out out on the areas best pastries!! The people there are so very kind and very helpful if your not sure what to get they will recommend something that you will probably be obsessed with once you try it. Everything that i have bought there is just so amazing and freshly baked that day. Prices are very reasonable and the service is outstanding. Now that football season has started you must make it a stop before you go to the game especially if your out of town you will never be disappointed. Great pastries great people!!! P.S. If you love coconut cake then you must get one from Mrs Groves you will not be disappointed!!”

“We have been going here for years, great food.. and the owners are really friendly.. Food is always fresh... People complain about their food at times,,, but you have to realize.. you need to get to the restaurant when the food is fresh, at regular business hours.. You can't go in late and expect them to have fresh food... Especially close to closing time!! You get the entire buffet,, that also includes the drink with the price.. You don't get that anywhere else.... Its a smaller buffet,,, and they have great prices!!!! We are regulars there,,, and we will continue to be!!!! Check them out!!! :)”

“A classic American buffet. From the salad bar to the dessert table, tons of well prepared and delicious options. You would have to be an exceptionally picky eater to not find something you loved here.”

“This place is nostalgia. Long gone are the old days of ordering when you walk in. I miss that. Their menu has down sized quite a bit but their prices are high. And their entree portions are very small. $6 or so to add salad bar onto any entree. Oterwise its $14. Their salad bar is ok..but who wants bologna cubes on their salad? Their steak salad is good. Deserts, soups and garlic bread are worth going alone. But the cheese sauce is way watered down. One nice thing is kids under 5 eat free off the bar so that helps offset costs. Service is usually.decent. One nice thing about Hoss's is if you go to one you basically have been to them all. Except one big difference. Some.Hoss's make you pay to reserve the party rooms and others don't so be careful. Huntingdon has a nice fireplace inside.”

“For all those who write negative reviews about this place, try getting food from the Plank Road location sometime.. this location, in my experience, is probably the best location you can get McDonald's in a 5-mile radius. Sometimes the food won't look picture perfect. It's McDonald's, not a gourmet restaurant. But I have had no problems with this location. The order is always right, the food tastes decent, and despite me ordering delivery from this location, I've heard many good things about this location, such as friendly customer service compared to the Plank Road and Downtown Altoona locations, cleanliness is on point, as well as many other things. So yeah, if you want McDonald's without having to worry about all the chaos from the other 2 locations, come to this location for a pleasant experience :)”

“The food here is wonderful and they actually make it spicy when you ask for spicy. Our waitress, Swee, was incredibly attentive and friendly. I’m so happy that Altoona finally has such a great Thai place for us to go to. We will be back! Oh we had the green curry and pad thai with crispy chicken as well as the Tom kha and Tom yum. The Thai tea is sooooo rich and delicious too. I could go and on and on. I’m usually very picky with my Thai food.”

“Never can say enough good about Finelli’s, the restaurant or the family!! This was a long overdue dinner date and we always enjoy the food and amazing desserts! Our amazing waitress Brittany was awesome, kind, helpful and on it!! And Braden was a delight and so joyous!! He would be the perfect person to train others in customer service!! We already have our reservations for next month. If you haven’t been here… why not??!! This restaurant is impeccably clean, the food is beyond what you will expect.
