“The weird one thing I look for to tell if it’s a legitimate Chinese restaurant is something that reminds the owner(s) of home. There’s a huge lit picture of Hong Kong and Kowloon Harbour (taken from the top of Victoria Point) on their wall. They’re Cantonese, and the quality of the food shows their pride in where they’re from. You’re getting the closest thing to authentic Cantonese this side of the ferry to Mui Wo.“

The gentleman at the counter was BEYOND polite! He explained to me at my request the small street food items they had and helped me to pick things to try. He took the time to explain the ingredients to me and how it is prepared or served. After ordering we enjoyed ALL the food and a DELICIOUS dessert item. “I was nearby visiting my wife in the hospital, and I remember seeing some young man wearing a Chicanos t-shirt near my house which is about 1.5 hours away.
So I decided to go by and get a couple of items to go and eat them when I got home.
By the time I got home it was really late, but I decided to taste everything anyway and it was absolutely fantastic!
Much better tasting than I was expecting and they were very generous with everything and their portions.
I got the pork posole, which came with a couple of bean tostadas! To my excitement and surprise! And the Posole?
Was both chicken and pork cooked into the stew, but here you have to choose whether you want to have pork or chicken. So this is something I was not used to and I thought I was going to be disappointed.
Having chosen pork, when I rewarmed it the next morning I was unbelievably surprised at how fantastic this was, easily some of the best posole I've had in a decade!
A carne asada burrito, which came with chips and salsa.
And I remember thinking to myself when I picked up the burritos oh my gosh this thing is really a big burrito! I haven't seen a real size burrito since I left the West Coast in 2010! ? The taste was absolutely fantastic and it even had grilled jalapenos in it which just kicked the flavor up another notch!
Not to be not to sound arrogant, but this Salsa was so good, it was like if I made it myself, super fresh! ?
I have to say my favorite thing was the chorizo tacos!
Anyone that grew up with real Mexican chorizo and knows what they're exactly it's supposed to taste like and these tacos absolutely did!!

We started with potato pancakes, calamari, and the mozzarella en Carozza and it was like it was touched by the hand of God it was so delicious! Then I had the pretzel chicken with the mashed potatoes and the green beans! My dinner also came with a soup and I chose the Italian wedding and it tasted better than mine! “Wow! Menu..Service..Food... Wow!

I am passing through town and saw the Viewpoint Diner on my way to the hotel. After looking it up and calling to confirm that breakfast was served all day, I headed over for dinner. As the host walked me to my booth, I saw the specials board and amazing looking meals in front of multiple patrons, and my breakfast for dinner plans went out the window. The menu is more than that of any old diner. It was a broad, colorful menu with professional pictures of most of the meals. I was immediately greeted by my waitress & her trainee but needed more time with the expansive menu. I ended up selecting Stuffed Shrimp (crab) and veggies and salad. I should have taken pictures, but I was too excited. Everything tasted as amazing as it looked, and the portions were hearty. The waitstaff was attentive and friendly. The whole experience was such a pleasant surprise! I wish I was going to be in town long enough to go back and try the breakfast.

The atmosphere was great. The exterior was well lit with awnings displaying their menu categories, the interior clean and inviting. It seemed like at least a few of the other tables were local regulars, which I consider a great thing.

My only suggestion would be that they round out their profile on Google to include the menu to help others find them. I didn't find what I was looking for there and took a gamble and won this time. 😉

This colleague used to be one of the best North Pocono football players as well as North Pocono track & field athletes who had his year book picture iconically taken on the railroad tracks.
