“We hadn't been to Mike's in a while because there's been some new places that have moved in the area that offer weekly specials... What a mistake. This is the best place. The best pizza. Great service, great atmosphere, friendly server. We got a large pepperoni pizza and an order of deep fried vegetables and everything was great and the server was very kind to my grandson. We will definitely be returning because it really at the end of the day. It's quality over quantity and it's worth every penny of Mike's“

“My husband and I really miss Friendly's. We saw the sign and said let's get lunch. They nolonger have the parry melt, my favorite and my hubby love mozzarella sticks. They used to have tiny ones that were fantastic. The new mozzarella was good. The food was good, the service was slow and it was freezing inside. The bathroom was clean, that is always a plus. I would go back again and bring my winter coat. 😆“

“We had an enjoyable dinner with my wife, college roommate and his wife. The atmosphere was enjoyable, just enough noise with a great looking room. The service was outstanding, and the food was highly enjoyable. The French Onion Soup was delicious with a unique puff pastry topping. The house salad had a mixture of greens, blue cheese, cranberries, nuts & seeds with a mild vinaigrette dressing; overall it was fantastic. Finally, the entrees were varied, large and enjoyable. This is an absolute gem and well-worth visiting. We will be back when we are in the area again.“

“Went to Beltzville last night on a last minute decision. So happy we did! Area bars can be hit or miss especially with kids but this place was great! Kids loved the food. “We stopped in today for a late lunch as we have always driven by and always wanted to try this cute place. It wasn’t busy and we were seated right away, the staff were very welcoming. We ordered our food and the appetizer came out right away! We had the pierogies and they were so good! I had a salad that was on special, and my daughters each had the cesear salad and a burger. “Best French fries and omelets in town. I have a limited diet due to Gluten intolerance, but I can get a great meal at the West End Diner. I always order their fries no matter what else I order. Usually, I get an omelet or a salad. Their salads are great, and the waitress is always careful with my meal. Cozy, comfortable, and caring.
Pair that with the nicest waitresses in town and ya got a place everyone loves!!“

“The Chamber held our annual holiday party in a private room. It was sound proof to the busy restaurant and has its own bar and bathroom which is perfect for a party! “The other reviewer is right...the beer is cold! Rarely do I ever get served a Coors Light bottle as cold as it is at the American Hotel. The bartender Kat is so easy going and down to earth and exemplifies what a bartender should be like. Great service from her, good wings (I always get the butter, garlic, parm), cheap beers, and the atmosphere is so laid back--locals just having a drink and socializing. The interior is old school which I love and the vibes are really positive. This is the only bar I frequent in town. No bars in Lehighton, Jim Thorpe, Brodheadsville compare. Cool place. Good people. Firehouse Grill is, bar none, the best place to go in all of Penn Forest Township. Penn Forest Township is now the largest political jurisdiction in Carbon County in both area and population.“

“I wanted to review on Google because the rating is unfairly low. We went to Log Cabin during our stay at Camelback and it was fantastic. I didn't realize they were just about to close but they sat us and were very attentive. Tabitha was an amazing server and deserves the highest tips. Do not sleep on the crab cake sliders, they are to die for. Everything we had was great and all the staff were extremely friendly and fun. My only issue is we don't live closer!“

“we usually have good experiences here. last night, however, was horrible. my kids got their food and the waitress forgot mine. My son's chicken fried steak was partially raw. My other son ordered chicken strips for an appetizer and it was served with his dinner. I asked for extra sauce and had to ask again. she never came back to the table once we were done and waited 20 minutes. We had to ask for our Togo dinner which was never put in the kitchen and we placed the order when we ordered our food. I did mention to the cashier that I was unhappy with the service and it seemed like she was just brushing me off. only said I'm sorry. not what happened or anything and only seemed interested in me paying. it wasnt even busy. sorry to say, we won't be back.“
