We came with a pretty large group of 10 and they were able to find seating for all of us. “I was curious about this place because every time I drive by, they're packed. Today I thought, why not try them out. Well I now will only go to this drive thru as my quick coffee pickup. I'm honestly annoyed at myself for not doing this earlier. I'm so tired of giving money to megacorps like dunkin' and Starbucks.This coffee is really solid and they have a wide selection. “Hidden Vietnamese food in a shopping plaza in Wexford!! Recently, I found out that Little Viet Kitchen is the owner's second location up north! The other eatery is Banh Mi and Ti in Lawrenceville. They have the exact menu! The food is out of this world. The protein is flavorful and come in a variety of ways to eat. They have deli pork, beef, chicken, pork belly, marinated pork and vegetarian options. You can pair the protein in a sandwich, rice bowl or dry rice noodle bowl! The Banh Mi is a french baguette filled with marinated meat, pickled veggies and sauce, which is the perfect combination of savory and spices. I tried the Drunken Beef Banh Mi and I could not get enough of it. The beef is slightly sweet but mixes well with the sauce and fresh veggies. I also tried the Pork n Roll (sweet marinated pork with 5 spice) in a rice bowl! The portion was small but enough for a meal. Definitely on the sweeter side, but the pickled carrots, cucumber and tomato cut the sweetness. They also offer pho and a variety of drinks. I had the mint lemonade, which could have had more lemon flavor, but had fresh mint leaves too! The ambiance is casual. And this location is strictly take out. No tables inside at all. Sprudge is a generally reliable source for great coffee recommendations in different cities, and I came across Commonplace in their 2015 guide of Pittsburgh cafes. Happy to report that 9 years later Commonplace still has a spot at the top! If you love boho chic with plants and cool reading nooks and amazing coffee and treats while reading a book and then shopping local artist and craftsman then this is the place to go. A friend and I sat in two hanging swing chairs. My latte was SOOO good. The muffins are delicious. I had been having a stressful morning. But the zen in the atmosphere was exactly what I needed. I can't wait to go back. This place is easily a 40 min drive for me but so worth it. Highly recommend!“

“Redhawk in Sharpsburg is hands down, my favorite coffee shop in Pittsburgh. I have been to many others in the city, and I have not found any other place with such consistently good espresso and friendly staff. The staff go above and beyond to make me and my family feel welcomed every time we visit. They gladly fill my reusable cup with any drink I order, sell us glass jars of milk to take home, and they even have some toys and books for kids to occupy themselves for a bit. While food options are limited, they often have pop ups on weekends. The space can get busy, but if you do get a seat, it is a nice place to relax and people watch over some coffee.“

A great location, it is only a minute away from the great City of Asylum bookstore, the Alphabet city restaurant and the beautiful Aviary across the street. The interior design was simple, but really heartwarming and nice (exposed bricks, hardwood, SPOTLESS and tall windows). We visited them twice in the two days we stayed in Pittsburgh and had amazing Matcha and lattes. “We decided to walk through the Southside down to the Highline to see what's new. We checked out the Burgers menu and then continued to De fer @ The Highline to take the chill off. Arriving around 11am, it was quiet with just the right music buzz and volume for a pleasant stay. The barrista was pleasant and set to making our cappuccinos like a real coffee shop. They were beautifully presented and delicious. The shop has a french motif but opens to a modern industrial lobby with comfy chairs, where it seems a number of small work meetings were taking place. The lobby is large, and the furniture is well spaced for privacy. The lobby has charging available for electronics. As a bonus, if you are reducing your carbon footprint, the parking garage has vehicle charging stations. We left De fer for a walk on the trail as noon approached, and the shop got busier with people coming in for snacks, salads, and cold drinks.“
“I've stopped by this establishment a few times and I fall in love with this place more each and every time. I took my partner here for brunch and it was lovely! Expect a hello when you step inside, they're happy to welcome you in! The atmosphere is calm and I love the vibe. The last time I was here, the walls were much darker and had an unfortunate cave effect (peering in from the sidewalk, it had been very dark inside). The fresh coat of paint does a LOT to brighten up the space. It's so warm and inviting, like a latte! :) The art from local artists really makes the joint feel connected to the local community, and I can really appreciate the support/platform they offer (the pieces are for sale, which is really cool). The filling went almost to the very end on both sides of the croissant and there was plenty spread all throughout. The croissant is flaky but I wouldn't have cared if it had the density of a bagel. “This might be the best breakfast in Pittsburgh! Seriously, we dine out often and this was our first time at Nook. Not too sure why, maybe because it always looked so busy? Anyways, it was only a 25 minute wait on a Saturday at 11am. Una is close by (plant/occult shop & amazing body butter) if you have to wait. Now back to The Nook: It is everything and more. Diner vibes with awesome staff. From the host to waiter/food runners, everyone was so friendly. The food was a 10/10. We had an omelette, egg Benedict, and the green thing(pancakes with pistachio paste)! The pancakes are undeniably the best I’ve ever had in my life. They are light, fluffy, doughy, it’s honestly indescribable! They were so good we ubered two orders the next morning lol! The coffee was very good (not always the case) and the London fog was a 10/10! I highly recommend and this will be a staple for us moving forward!“
