“Visited this morning for the first time. Got egg and cheese sandwiches, one croissant one ciabatta - both were amazing!! The lattes were delicious and rich. You can really taste the quality of the espresso. They were short staffed (1 employee who was grinding hard!) so I did wait about 25 minutes for two coffees and sandwiches. I didn’t mind that much and it was well worth the wait. Can’t wait to go back!“

Got a 9:30 reservation (2 weeks before for a Friday night) had the pickled (forget specifically which white fish)
It was unexpectedly good.
I ordered it bc I figured it made sense to try a dish that was/is directly in line with what the restaurant bills itself as. (Scandanavian + Fish) Was not disappointed, would absolutely order again. Great friendly waitress who advised the rye noodle dish. So good. Food so good I didn’t bother to take photos.“

“Stumbled here by chance and was incredibly impressed. The decor and scents are pleasant and welcoming and the gentlemen was kind and efficient. There was one other couple in the building so it was not crowded. I ordered an Iced Honey Oat Latte and my fiance ordered a hot Carmel latte. Both were delicious and flavorful. The sizes were also appropriate for the prices. I will return again soon.“

“I was working in the area and decided to stop into Black Canary for a coffee. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed. The shop was extremely clean, professional, and had the feel of a proper, well-run coffee shop. Even the restroom was clean as a whistle.

The gentleman behind the counter was extremely professional, welcoming, and polite. I ordered two vanilla lattes, and they were absolutely delicious.

“Very sweet local spot with fun snacks and drinks! The vibe is very relaxed, and they had some fun drink options and great coffee. The arepa with chicken was delicious, the mixture was flavored really well and good portion too! They were unfortunately out of the cheese but subbed it with a saltier one that paired well too.

I got an egg sandwich and one espresso, I felt the espresso really good but maybe if you don’t like strong flavors you won’t like it, the sandwich was good but average, excellent service and it remains me when I use to hang out with my friends in my apartment drinking coffee“

Coffee is nice and strong, the atmosphere is cozy and quiet, and the ladies behind the counter are super nice and service is quick! “Good place for an early morning coffee / espresso... only place if you're up quite early but still good. Great service, good atmosphere, good to hang out or grab a cup to go. Each cup a reason to not ever go to Starbuck's again, at least if you're in the area. My kids can vouch for the pastries too.“

“My fiancé and I were visiting Pittsburgh for a concert and just had to stop by this amazing café. We got to know the owner and learned about how he took this restaurant from a food truck to brick and mortar with his exceptional recipes.

Highly recommend The Force latte, which blends Biscoff & Nutella! The Gotham Gobbler was hands down the best bagel sandwich I’ve had in a while.

“Great little coffee shop. Stopped in for a quick latte and cortado, both were well-made. Quick 4-min walk from the Comfort Inn and Suites. I would have loved to try one of the breakfast burritos, but had just eaten. They sounded delicious, though!“

“Here, you can get farm to cup coffee. The owner’s dad actually runs the farm in Columbia where they source their beans and roast them locally around Pittsburgh. The staff is so kind and friendly and they brew amazing coffee that is about as fresh as you can get unless you are in a growing region of the world. The shop is small and simple but clean and polished with a great vibe.

Got a cappuccino and it was top notch. They know what they are doing with coffee here. Definitely worth going out of your way for this one.“

“It was a nice cafe with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating inside the Moose Building. It was spacious, with easy parking, restrooms, and WiFi. The coffee was reasonably-priced. We didn’t try the food. For a while some kitchen appliance was making a lot of background noise, so if they cleared that up it would be great.“
