“The Kawa Hibachi & Sushi is the best in the game. It is, indeed, a hidden gem. We stumbled upon it by accident because we wanted to take a break from practicing drivers liscence, but fortunately for us, we came here.
The restaurant is clean, floors are squeaky clean, tables and chairs are clean.
There is a place next to bar where chefs/itamaes cook.
Food is filled with flavor, fresh. For the tastes they offer, the price is normal, not inflated.
They have their Japanese Lemonade with glass marble. Not for us but a fun experience for sure!
Wish everyone to at least once experience coming here.
Menu is very diverse, they are flexible with your order. Service is fast, management feels honest and homey.
Whenever you get a chance, come inside and enjoy music, entrance aquarium decor, ambiance of things.

“If I could give this place a million stars, I would. Hands down, this is not just my favorite sushi spot—it’s a culinary paradise. The King Kong Roll? An absolute masterpiece. I dream about it. But honestly, everything on the menu tastes like it was handcrafted by sushi gods. Every bite is a flavor explosion that’ll ruin all other sushi for you—forever.
From the moment you step in, you're greeted with warm, upbeat music and an atmosphere that's bursting with personality. There are so many quirky, fun things to look at, you almost forget you’re here for food—until the food hits the table and steals the show.
And the customer service? Impeccable. I’ve been coming here religiously since I moved in 2024, and every single visit has been perfect. “We ordered for the first time as a to go order because we were in a rush & it EXCEEDED our expectations!! Delicious hibachi chicken, steak, shrimp, veggies & rice! The flavor is phenomenal!! Their teriyaki sauce is AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS too! We absolutely can't wait to try it again! Most likely for dinner tonight! We'll be going in next time for sure. We love this place!!!! Yummy!!!!!! 10/10“

“Visiting from out of town. We live in central PA so there’s not much Japanese food. When it’s cold out katsu curry just hits the spot and theirs is absolutely delicious. Loved how the spice builds and the rice soaked up the curry. The beni shoga is delicious on top of curry dipped bites of katsu“

“Been there for sit down and take out. Loved everything we tried. Great food for a really good price. Love to support local restaurants like this one! Ginger salad, green tea salad, sushi, and beef curry are all great. But we keep coming back to chicken noodle soup with coconut milk (Ohn-no Kauk Swe - SP2)!“
“My husband surprised me with an impromptu date night, and this restaurant fit the bill perfectly. They were very accommodating despite us not having a reservation. We chose to sit on the back patio; this was a wonderful choice for a warm spring evening. We were so pleased that they were open since many restaurants are closed on Mondays and they were quite busy. Our meal was delicious and the service was very good. We would absolutely recommend the pork ribeye and the Caribbean jerk cod. Both were perfectly seasoned and cooked.“

“Taipei is by far the best sushi and Chinese restaurant in the Fox Chapel area. The servers are courteous and the specialty sushi rolls are noticeabley larger and tastier than Jimmy Wan's. In my opinion, Taipei also offers a better selection than Jimmy Wan's. We also appreciate Taipei's complimentary fried wontons served before each meal and orange slices provided at the end of service. This family-friendly restaurant always make us feel at home.“

“We ate here on Christmas Day and the staff was so courteous. My son mentioned that he is vegetarian and the chef made his food before any meat touched the griddle. It was such a small thing and we didn’t ask for this—they just did it. What a lovely touch that put my son at ease. Will come back for sure!“

“We had heard good things about a new sushi place and gave Jin Jing a try. The food was fantastic. We ordered two rolls, miso soup and sushi. Food is super authentic. The dining room is relatively small but that didn't bother us. We will be back!“
