“We got back from Japan a week ago and were missing the amazing food. Thankfully, my husband found Yukiyama. Wow! It was super authentic and we loved it. We ordered way too much food not thinking the portions would be Americanized. No matter. I'm happy to have leftovers for lunch this week. We loved the gyoza (dumplings). They were so soft, delicate and flavorful. They didn't need the sauce but the sauce was terrific. The pictures of their sushi looked good so I wanted to try it. The tuna roll was delicious and only $6. My husband loved his chashu (pork that tastes just like bacon) ramen. There were tons of noodles, huge pieces of pork and mushrooms. He really enjoyed it and was in the mood for ramen since we loved it so much in Japan. I got the chicken katsu (basically a cut up fried chicken cutlet or breast). It was so crispy, tender and flavorful. The portion was giant. It came with white rice, miso soup and the sweet and delicious katsu sauce that I love. We wi definitely be back to try other things when we come back out to Squirrel Hill. The man who brought out the food was so sweet. We miss Japan and found an amazing new spot.“

“It took me years to try this place which is sad because their sushi is amazing. I love the prices, the menu definitely has options but it isn’t overwhelming. I came in around 9:30 after craving sushi all day and the staff was friendly and quick to help out. They make the sushi right in front of you. It’s fresh even right before closing. They have a water machine while you wait for your food which isn’t much of a wait at all. The condiments bar was clean, the entire store was very clean. The decor is very cool and welcoming. I will have to come back.“

Based on the prices and location, I would have never expected such a high quality meal with such a pleasant staff experience. I believe the gentleman who assisted me was named Bawi (I could have misheard). He could not have been more kind and gracious. I was there at the end of the night after a fairly slow weekday for them, and he was telling me how they make all of their Sushi fresh --every single day. Since they would not be carrying any of their pre-prepared rolls into the next day, he sent me home with a few samples of some rolls to try something new and share w/ my family. We loved everything!I highly recommend giving them a chance the next time you find yourself in or around the food court!“

“Stop scrolling and just map here and go already! I grew up on the island of Guam with a wide variety of fresh authentic Asian food at my fingertips. Often eating Asian food is sad for me because it is so far from what I remember and reminds me of how far away I feel from the Pacific Ocean. Now that I’ve found this place, there’s nowhere else I will be going when I’m homesick and hungry. The owner and his family are simply precious, radiating quiet kindness and familial warmth to every guest who came in. They are a new restaurant, but the owners (both chefs) knew people by name and asked new guests their names, and served exquisite and beautiful food I will be thinking about for days. If you can, bring a friend with you so you can share something from Japan and something from Thailand on your first visit. You won’t regret it. Oh, and the donuts…

“This was a nice very reasonably priced small sushi establishment. Parking however was a nightmare, so if possible walk to this location. The staff was very friendly and gave me a good recommendation. I had the Eye of the Tiger Roll and it was great. It was spicy but I like it that way and in my personal opinion if you’re not crying a little bit then it’s not spicy enough. Haha. Hopefully this helped with your selection. Overall, I would definitely recommend to come here for lunch.“

“Very well decorated, seems humble from the outside but once you step in you are greeted with great service and a genuine Asian atmosphere. They have all you can eat sushi here and many options to choose from including my favorite CHICKEN tempura roll! I was able to order some salmon, crunchy roll, spicy tuna roll.. and if you don’t want to do the sushi you can always have the chicken or steak hibachi which comes with a sort of honey bbq sauce on top of it. Both were very delicious. They honestly put a lot of protein in the sushi so if you’re a fan of the raw, go for it! The only thing was that in some fo the google images it appears to say the all you can eat is 23 dollars but it’s actually 29 which is still a pretty incredible deal for the amount they offer to you, but of course 23 would be better lol“

“A small but delightful place to go get some Pho or a Banh Mi. I generally get the chicken pho and crispy spring rolls and was not disappointed.

“I had the Volcano bowl and 2 rolls to go which were of exceptional quality, taste, and there was plenty to eat in each dish. They gave me the extra wasabi that I requested so a big thanks for that. I was taking out and while waiting, the music was very loud and was some kind of screaming, brain splitting noise that I could live the rest of my life without hearing again. I'm sure it's a generational thing. They did turn it down
a notch which I appreciated but it sounded like somebody was being tortured so not really a pleasant sound or level to be exposed to whether eating in or waiting to escape the torture. Maybe something that is a bit more Japanese sushi fitting and calm would help the customer experience of the very good food. “I’ve been going here since this place was called Sushi Fuku back in 2017 and I gotta say I realllyyy miss it. Since Atarashis takeover I have not noticed any improvements, in fact the food got significantly more expensive and the service got much slower. You used to be able to order your food in line and watch them prepare it in front of you, with the ability to customize. Now, you order on a screen with limited ability to customize and often wait 10-15 mins for your food. The containers in which the food is served changed from small, cardboard like containers to large, plastic ones, which feels very wasteful. The quality of the food is good and I still come here a lot, but I will never forget the old Sushi Fuku“

“Great spot in Lawrenceville! It’s on the smaller side so I would definitely recommend a reservation. On my most recent visit, we shared the pork gyoza, okonomiyaki, and a few skewers. The okonomiyaki is excellent! Then we had an off menu sushi roll that our server was nice enough to suggest and ask the chef to prepare for us. Cocktails were yummy!“

“Overall I would say this place is really good!! We did go back when it was first opening up, so I think there was some learning curves.. I am eager to get back and try it again!
Our waitress was very nice! Everything was explained to us very well.
We ordered appetizers- spring rolls and gyoza, both were very good!
When they came out, we ordered our first sushi, it took over 45 minutes for our first sushi to come out.
We ordered the yellowtail jalapeño and the dynamite roll.
Being honest, I didn’t care for the yellowtail jalapeño roll. The raw jalapeño over took the whole thing- that’s just my opinion though.
HOWEVER the dynamite roll, AMAZING.
Definitely the star of the show and I feel like I could have eaten 100 of them.
Unfortunately that’s all we got with our AYCE though because of how long everything was taking.
But my food was so good. So I highly recommend!

I had faith itd be right each time because it's so simple and I order all the time but just check your food because yes it is delicious but it is not what I ordered. “The restaurant side of Golden Gai has finally opened, and it didn’t disappoint! Their takeout sushi was hit or miss (it got markedly better over time) but they clearly took the time to fine-tune the restaurant before opening, and I’m glad they did. The sushi (the golden roll) and small plates (spicy cucumbers, grilled chicken, and miso cod) were phenomenal. The drinks were on point also. Reservations are hard to come by, but if you’re okay with booking a few weeks out or eating a little later it’s not too hard to get one.“

In my opinion, Taipei also offers a better selection than Jimmy Wan's. We also appreciate Taipei's complimentary fried wontons served before each meal and orange slices provided at the end of service. This family-friendly restaurant always make us feel at home.“

I’ve eaten most of their giant menu and haven’t yet been disappointed (though I just don’t understand seaweed knots, anywhere). All the fish and pickled veg dishes slap, their hand cabbage is my fav, they do whole fish and duck very well, the saltnpepper and flaming pan stir-fries are solid, their American-style dishes are a head above counter take-out places; even their fortune cookies are better than standard Canto spots.
I usually take out, but when I eat there, it’s even better.

“I love this place! As far as All You Can Eat goes, they have tasty fresh food always! GREAT FLAVOR, and usually pretty quick and friendly service. Plenty of seating as well to ensure pretty quick turnover times for tables too.

I LOVE sushi and this place is top notch in my opinion. The sushi is always guaranteed to fulfill my want for some yummy goodness. Its hard up here to find good sushi but at the price point you really can't beat it. There are also a bunch of other choices for food too. Great appetizers, soup, sushi and even American food choices too for the kids.
