“Since my go to dimsum spot permanently closed, I have been searching for authentic dim sum and luckily I found this spot. As soon as you walk in the decor is gorgeous & the service is quick & friendly.

The menu is large and they're constantly changing it up, I'm surpised its not busy as there are so many options to eat. The food we got was fresh, hot and delicious & the cucumber water was so refreshing.

“Nice, clean inside. I ordered MooGoo Pan. Tons of chicken plate. But no fasten mistake as did not know you can order the amount of spice you want! A great idea so I will obtain. I smothered mine with duck and sweet n sour sauce for taste. And you have to ask for the sauce. Now that I know about asking I will go again. The server was on the ball asking if I needed anything. Next trip will try lunch as I had supper“

“Visiting from out of town. We live in central PA so there’s not much Japanese food. When it’s cold out katsu curry just hits the spot and theirs is absolutely delicious. Loved how the spice builds and the rice soaked up the curry. The beni shoga is delicious on top of curry dipped bites of katsu“

“Stumbled upon Katana when our usual spot in Robinson was closed between lunch / dinner. OMG happy we did, so fresh and flavorful. The Chefs rolled to order and served proper items accordingly. Our server was very personable and actually made conversation and checked back on us regularly. Sorry for the half eaten plate wanted to get picture first but blacked out and dug in!! This is now our spot for ayce sushi absolutely love it!!“

“Anyone who knows me, knows I love supporting small local businesses. The food was outstanding, but I was surprised at the plastic flatware/napkin in a sealed plastic bag and not real stainless steel flatware. Prices were inline with other Indian restaurants I have been to. Unfortunately, it's street parking in an already crowded street because of apartments. Would I recommend? Absolutely. Would I go back in the future? You bet I would!“

They take care not to use a lot of sodium and the food taste really fresh and health, not overly greasy. It’s really good I’m honestly surprised. That veggie fried rice is my favorite right now. “Taipei is by far the best sushi and Chinese restaurant in the Fox Chapel area. The servers are courteous and the specialty sushi rolls are noticeabley larger and tastier than Jimmy Wan's. In my opinion, Taipei also offers a better selection than Jimmy Wan's. We also appreciate Taipei's complimentary fried wontons served before each meal and orange slices provided at the end of service. This family-friendly restaurant always make us feel at home.“

“Very pleasantly surprised. We always eat at Fortune Star Buffet in Monroeville but decided to try this place cuz it's closer to us.

The buffet has relatively few selections (Fortune Star has a ginormous variety of dishes) but the QUALITY/TASTE of the food is WAY above Fortune Star.

My personal favorites were the spring rolls (I ate four where normally I eat only 1 or 2 max) and the General Tsao's Chicken: amazingly delicious whereas all other General Tsao's I've had is so-so at best.

We'll still eat at Fortune Star just due to its massive selection of buffet options but we will def be back to this one just for the proximity and the quality/taste of the food.

We lucked out and found a paid parking spot right across the street ($3.15 for an hour; paid via the Pay By Phone app.)“

“This has become my fave chinese takeaway in pgh. The fried rice doesn't have any veggies but it's packed with meat and delicious. The lo-mein is my latest fave. I get both with pork and it's the good char siu type pork.

It has about 4 seats inside, but it's really a To Go kind of place“

If you’re a tofu lover, I highly recommend trying the Broccoli & Tofu with rice and the Vegetable Soup.
Fresh, flavorful, and always satisfying—so good! Yummy! 😋🌱I would have given Chan An 5 stars, but I mainly eat tofu, so my review is based on their tofu and vegetable dishes. Their Bean Curd (Tofu) is flavorful and delicious, and I appreciate that they are willing to substitute tofu for meat. 😋🌱“

“I recently visited this Chinese café-restaurant, and I was really impressed! Their wonton soup and hot and sour soup are absolutely delicious—rich in flavor and perfectly balanced. The dish in the photo is orange chicken, which was incredibly tasty, especially with brown rice. Every bite was full of flavor, and the texture was just right.

Another great thing about this place is that they have an electric charging station, so for some people, it’s a great way to do two things at once—enjoy a delicious meal while charging their car. Overall, this place serves amazing food, and I highly recommend it.“

I thought that the foods were overall good: crab rangoon, chicken mussaman, moo shu chicken, teriyaki chicken, orange chicken, kung pao chicken, beef lo mein, and sushi rolls.“

“This was my first time ever stopping into the restaurant. I am very picky about my Chinese food. The establishment cleanest and surrounding is important to me. If I see any signs of uncleaniness I am out the door. So I am impressed so I ordered. Watched how they prepared my food and others impressed. So took my food which was done at the time they told me. “I’m rating this five stars because of several reasons. First of all, there are very few options for fast food around this neighborhood. Also, most of the options within a block or two are questionable at best in terms of quality, consistency, and price. Parking is a kafkaesque nightmare around here too so if I am forced to choose fast food, my most frequent choice is here. Hunan is not amazing for the price, but it is basically exactly the same every time, and it’s hot. If you’re willing to pay $18, you can get a filling and satisfying yet greasy meal. I always go for the fried rice, chicken, and broccoli and maybe egg rolls. Like I said, it’s outrageously priced but at least you know you are getting a lot of ok quality food instead of rolling the dice with other nearby options.“

“I was able to get quality Chinese food for a great price! It was a good amount of food for $11! I got the chicken curry dish which had a good helping of chicken and a really good amount of spices. For a dish like this I usually pay $15-$18 and I got a comparable dish for less than that. I'm definitely going back!“

“This is wonderfully delicious mall Chinese food. You have to know what you’re getting, this is not a fancy place. It’s quick, satisfying, fast food Chinese. And honestly, I enjoy it more than most of the sit down Chinese places around. The orange chicken is crispy and sweet. The real star is the bourbon chicken, it’s not battered and it’s moist and savory and delicious. The fried rice is very good too, it’s more sticky than usual fried rice and has more flavor. The noodles taste great too. I come to the mall just to get this Chinese food, it really hits the spot.“
