“A great spot for bubble tea enjoyers to try new things and enjoy the classics. Their prices are pretty reasonable, but there re places that have cheaper boba. They just have some cool creations you can make, so I tried them out. I had the mango slush with pearls.
This was a bit more like a mix between a smoothie and a boba drink. They had tons of mango chunks in there, which I definitely liked. It was quite sweet. The size was alright but not that big. It did taste very fresh and the top had a bit of frothiness to it. They included a lot of fresh and chewy boba pearls, too. Enjoyed it.
All in all, this is definitely a nice spot for boba and bubble tea. Some more upscale types you can try. I’d recommend them if you are a big boba fan.
Kid-friendliness: Kids would like the drinks, but it’s a bit too upscale for most“

“We’ve been looking forward to trying D’s after reading several positive reviews and they did NOT disappoint! We tried the Onion Bhaji, Paneer Manchuria, Veg Momo, Punjabi Samosa, Cheese Masala Dosa, Peshwari Naan, and three different boba teas. The teas were the perfect sweet accompaniment to the heat and savory spices of our food. Everything was fresh and delicious; some of the best Indian/Nepali food we’ve ever had. We were having a little trouble placing a delivery order through a third party app but when we messaged the restaurant on Facebook, they answered quickly and were incredibly helpful - customer service was great! We already have some decided favorites and can’t wait to try a few new things as well. Highly recommend! (Can’t accurately rate atmosphere of restaurant as we haven’t been there in person yet.)“

“Very solid boba store. I’m glad we’ve had so many new shops open up recently. This place serves boba with great portions and at a great price. The menu isn’t too exciting, but they do make the classics well. I tried the classic black sugar boba with some extra mini pearls as well.
I really enjoyed the drink. 70% sweetness is plenty, even for someone that likes a lots of sugar. They also have a honey syrup option which I tried in my drink, and I liked it a lot. The boba seemed fresh. The pearls were a great texture and the little pearls were a nice addition. They pop quickly and dont require much chewing.
All in all, nice new spot. I’d visit again. Standard menu but good prices!
Dietary restrictions: Honey or no sugar options“

“There were more drinks and toppings than in Japan. In particular, there are 13 types of toppings, and if you ask the staff, they will let you sample them. The clerk was kind and understood my poor English. Also, orders are placed from a terminal, so it doesn't matter if you don't speak English. It's located on a street lined with many shops, so if you're in Pittsburgh, be sure to check it out!“

“I live 30 minutes from here and I will HAPPILY brave the Squirrel Hill tunnel traffic for a bubble tea, any day of the week. Best bubs in Pittsburgh, hands down. Everyone’s friendly and the peach grapefruit tea is to die for. I love getting fresh fruits in my drinks!!! Thank you!!! <3“

“As a person who isn't fond of Boba Bubbles ( texture issue ), it's still a very good beverage option. My fiancée absolutely loves Kung fu tea & we make a stop every time we are in the area. The variety of drinks keeps it fun & interesting. Highly recommend using the app before planning a visit because making up your mind doesn't come quick lol.“

“I placed an order through Door Dash to have my first ever Milk Tea and Matcha donuts. They unfortunately didnt have the sepcific kind i had and wrote a letter with the replacements, which was AMAZING customer service!!! I unfortunately cant stand Dark Chocolate, which was one of the replacements they gave, but the texture was still amazing and everything was 8/10 or 10/10!“

“I went in for breakfast pastry but was delighted to find they had eel and rice. It's one of my favorite foods, and it was such a generous portion for a great price. We also got a slice of Earl Grey crepe cake that was lovely to share. I'm very excited to try some of their other food items beyond the bakery offerings.“

“We ordered the soy garlic wings, sweet and spicy wings, takoyaki and boba tea from Grubhub. The Grubhub driver forgot the bag with the chicken and hung up on the restaurant when they called him, so the MANAGER drove my order over to me. On top of that, it was hands down the best Korean fried chicken I have had in Pittsburgh. It’s SO crispy and the sauces are well balanced. The takoyaki was also delicious, the octopus was perfectly cooked and the breading wasn’t doughy. I’d give them more stars if I could!“

“Attached to the Uptown Pizza and Wings restaurant and located close to Downtown Pittsburgh, Uptown Cafe & Boba features boba, jelly tea, espresso, and desserts in a cozy environment.Pros:• Priced generously: Only $5 for a 24oz portion of boba milk tea.• Great flavor on all menu items. Featuring La Prima coffee — yum!• Open late: Uptown Cafe & Boba is open until 12:45am for pick-up, delivery, and dining in.• Nice atmosphere: Clean and spacious interior with plenty of seats. Free WiFi for customers.• Friendly staff.Cons:• The quality of the tapioca pearls is slightly disappointing; they tend to crumble in the mouth.Overall, while I can't say that this is my favorite boba tea spot in Pittsburgh, I can highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap, late-night fix of their favorite drink. This store is a welcome presence in Uptown and I will be visiting again soon!“

“I got their Yo milk boba tea today and I highly recommend and would recommend all of my friends here! The boba is chewy and soft, not hard like other stores. I would say this I’d the most freshest boba in Pittsburgh :) The egg tarts are also baked daily and have a fresh crust to them— will be back for more! ❤️❤️“

“I got the black tea lemonade and tofu banh mi, while my spouse opted for the drunken beef and the classy chick banh mi (he says he forgot to take one out of the cart, but I don't buy it). We used to eat here years ago, and after moving back to the area, we were thrilled to see it still going strong. Even more thrilling was discovering that the food is still absolutely delicious! I adore this place—the staff is always friendly, and my pick-up orders are always ready when I arrive. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out on a local gem!
Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian banh mi and a tofu banh mi. I have tried and enjoy them both.
Parking: It's a popular area, and the parking can be a challenge, but it's possible to find a place, and you can usually find quick parking options.“

“A very nice little bubble tea shop on Centre Ave. The atmosphere is quite good and the company’s entire branding just has a feel good feel to it. They also have a shop in Ross Park Mall. I tried out their classic brown sugar milk tea as well as a milk chocolate mocha donut.
To be honest, the brown sugar boba was pretty average. There wasn’t anything too special about it. Nice and light drink, not crazy sweet, which was nice. Not much boba in it though. Price was okay. They had a donut and drink combo for a decent price.
The real star of this snack break was the mochi donut. It’s got a very cool, chewy texture to it. The milk chocolate on top really added a lovely sweet touch to it. I would even definitely recommend trying one.
All in all, a cute little boba shop. Decent drinks, but the mochi donuts are what are really unique and tasty.
Kid-friendliness: Kids would enjoy the drinks and donuts especially“
