“Our large party had a wonderful experience celebrating a college graduation at Monterey Bay. Our group was accommodated at a table with a beautiful view of The Point. The service was exceptional, and we felt very welcome and special. We were not rushed, our graduate was made to feel extra special with complimentary dessert, and unique postcards signed by the table. The staff even offered to take our pictures in front of the amazing view. The food was very good, albeit pricier than what we are accustomed to, but we knew that when we made the reservations. “Best fried chicken I've tried in town! Owned by the nicest guy! I wanted to try it after picking up dozens of orders here for customers. The fish was too salty unfortunately, and the seasoned salt they pour is a bit too much. Just ask for no salt and It's perfect. Get your protien fix after walking around kennywood.“

“So, Red Lobster in Pleasant Hills was clean and had a menu with many options. I chose the shrimp skewers and added a scallop one. They were tasty. I added a side of Brussel sprouts. They were delicious. The biscuits were good. The baked potato was done well. All of the staff were friendly . It’s worth a return visit to try the Salmon Bowl or maybe the flounder.“

“Took my mother to Roland's today for seafood stew, which was amazing, but our waitress, ***DAWN***, was even more amazing. Something so very special about her that heals your heart of pain you didnt even know you had! and just by taking your order and serving your meal, she does this. I have never seen a restaurant where every server, food runner and staff worked as a great team!! To be welcomed by several staff, food arrived in great time, hot. and fantastic. Every person passing your table would ask how you are,how is everything and it truly is a group effort to 100% focus on the patrons!! I felt very special and appreciated. we ordered the zucchini strips and shared the large fish sandwich dinner. WOW! Wow! Well over a pound of fresh fish and two sides!! “Well, went to Storming Crab in homestead, pa. I was so disapointed. First I ordered a drink. Cranberry and top shelf vodka. Came with no vodka, plain cranberry. People at the bar said they didn't make that drink?? It took over 20 min for the girl to take our food order, which took another 20 min to get and when it came no ketchup or tartar sauce. So waited for condiments which never came, in the meantime we were done eating and another member of our party still hadn't received his seafood boil. Still no tartar sauce, shrimp very cold, now the seafood boil comes. Still no tartar sauce. So they cold shrimp was taken off the bill. I don't understand the time span, looks like they need more workers. Just too slow. I'm not going to give them another chance, first impression last impression plus corn was ordered and told Jazlyn was missing, never got it. With this service this place won't be here long.“

“I ordered 2 pieces of haddock and “6” scallops. The pieces of fish were huge (each about the total amount I’d wanted). I didn’t get the 6 scallops promised - I got 7! Even after delivery from fairly far away, everything was still warm, with very little oil in the boxes. The thin breading (not heavy, soggy batter) was crispy, well-seasoned, and adhered well. Everything was “golden brown and delicious” with good flavor development from frying but not overdone. There were no notes of stale, burnt, or overused oil. The fish and scallops were firm and tasted fresh. This was much better food than I’d hoped for and very good value. These people know how to fry seafood! I somewhat doubt their fries, chicken, and other items are anything but great but I expect I’ll be sticking to the seafood.“

“First time eating here. Having a reservation did not get us seated very quickly - very busy around 1pm for Sunday brunch. We were not seated until 40 mins past our reservation even after we got a text saying our table was ready. About 15 mins after that we were taken to our table. The stations seemed a little understaffed but lines weren't too long. I enjoyed the options and my meal“

“My family stopped by on Saturday afternoon ordered a Pgh pizza and loaded fries. The Pizza was out of this world. The fries were fresh cut and delicious. Our server was Jodie and she was so friendly and efficient we never had to ask a refill on drinks. Most pleasant trip there ever.“

“I’m scared to give this a good review as I don’t want it to have a line out the door but man this place deserves the business. This place absolutely rocks, the food, the decor, everything about it is great. It’s got the hole in the wall vibes but still cozy somehow.
Mind you this is place does not take card. They have CashApp, Venmo and I think Zelle. They also take cash along with the ATM that’s in the building.

“Extensive seafood menu & fresh fish sold. Soup & chowder. We had the crab cake sandwich, it was not good. $23. Fishy. It could be much better. Not sure what type of crab is used, fairly certain it was not lump crab meat? We will try a different seafood entree or sandwich on our next visit & hope for better.“

“I've eaten here a couple of times now for lunch. Regardless of which staff member I was assigned to, they have all been courteous, professional, and friendly. This is a little more upscale than your typical lunch spot, and that's kind of why I like it.
Pictured was a special they were having the other day. Potatoes, meat loaf, covered in a gravy. Onion slivers accompanied the gravy to bring it all together. You can't see the meatloaf due to gravy, but it was in there, and it was delicious!
If you're in the area, definitely try this place out. You're going to spend a little more coin, but the quality of food is there for the price. Oh and they are closed on Mondays, just an FYI“

“I’ve been going here since 2019 and have always loved it. Good food, awesome drinks, friendly staff. Lately it feels like the restaurant has gotten a little greedy — prices are rising, quality is falling, and the drinks are just not the same! Used to love coming here on a Friday for the margarona special but my last 3 visits the quality had significantly declined and i just don’t want to come as often anymore… I hope things can improve and this can become a regular spot for me again“

The seasoning is the best part, I always ask for extra in addition to buying a side of it so I can cover everything in it 🤣 I’ve tried quite a few of their seafood options- shrimp, cod, perch, catfish filet & nuggets- and have never been disappointed by any of them. The pick 2 combo with shrimp and catfish nuggets is my go-to though, best catfish I’ve ever had. The fries are always hot and crispy even when I get them delivered through doordash, and the hush puppies are great too. And you gotta have the funnel cake sticks for dessert! I love Hook 💕🐟🍤“
