“Typically I have always experienced a feeling of appreciation when I visit the Philly Pretzel Factory in Bear, DE or Middletown, DE BUT, today my visit to the Middletown, DE location left me feeling unappreciated and in fact like I was being a pest. I stopped into the store in order to redeem my ‘celebrate the Eagles win’ coupon. I purchased the 5 pretzels and received 5 free. The pretzels were cold and hard. I complained to both the cashier and the gentleman making the pretzels and was told they were just made. I begged their difference and the gentleman gave me an unfriendly attitude and said he’d just put them back in the oven and they’d be just fine! Needless to say they weren’t. They didn’t taste as fresh as usual nor were they soft. In my opinion this visit was totally unacceptable!!!“

I didn't know it was Auntie Anne’s location. I almost passed on going in until I saw someone walk out with a bag of their pretzels. So, with that being said—It looks like they are closed (even on the days they are open — weekends only — please check Auntie Anne’s for correct hours or any updates).When you walk inside you will see no pretzels on display. Which, is fine. This is where the patience comes into play because the pretzels are made to order!!!I've been a few times since my first visit and it took them only 7-10 minutes to hand me my hot and fresh pretzel!!! I've enjoyed them every single time. No complaints! I prefer it that way instead of having the pretzels sit out over a heated light to stay warm all day.The consistency of the pretzel taste is there. However, my only issue is that I **believe** the pretzels are thinner (still doughy but not as thick) compared to other locations like the mall or airport.Other than that. The staff is very kind! and also ready to take your once you approach the counter.I will visit them every time I'm in the area and craving an Auntie Anne’s pretzel.“

“I ordered a cinnabon and Pretzel from Uber eats this evening around 4/5pm. I heated them up for 30 seconds in the microwave since the Uber driver had a few stops along the way and took 1 hour for delivery. They were so fresh and delicious. The cinnabon was huge and smothered in pecans and sauce. It was also packed with care. Thank you to whoever is working there today. You're awesome!“

“Love Auntie Anne’s pretzels and lemonades. They have salty pretzels, cinnamon ones, almond ones, and pretzel bites, cinnamon pretzel bites, and pretzel hot dogs. The lemonades they have are classic, strawberry, mango, and blue raspberry. Sometimes the pretzels could be on the tougher side (I guess they’re either overdone or sit out for too long). The pretzel bites are usually softer and more fluffy.“

“The new owner at this location, Lou, was very kind and accommodating. I had placed an order for pretzels online a few weeks ago while the store was under the previous ownership. My order was unable to be completed due to the equipment being down on the day I was supposed to pick it up. I was told by the old owner that he would leave my receipt at the front and I could come in and pick up the pretzels anytime. (after the equipment was fixed) I stopped in yesterday to find a new owner and no record of any reciept at the "front". I explained the situation to Lou and although he didn't even own the store at that time, he wanted to make it right and sympathized with my situation. He seems like a stand up guy and good honest business owner. Good luck! We will be back“

“Good morning Good People!

I had to write this review before leaving the parking lot. Let me tell yall, I will only be coming to this location. The cashier notified me of a deal today, which ended up being $2 cheaper. I was told originally it would be a 12 minute wait which they switch and said I could have another order that was fresh out. Either way I was fine with waiting. They separated the box of already pre packaged of 100 pretzels into 4 bags of 25 and carried it to my car with me so I would only have to make one trip. I will spend my money here always. Thank you to the professionalism, good music, and hot pretzels. 🥨

“These are not the soft pretzels of my youth, but the closest available. They are $1.25 each and squeeze bottles of mustard are free to use. Beware if they offer you a small container of mustard,that’s another $1.25. You’ll never eat Auntie Anne’s again.“

“I took my nephew here today and he passed out on the car ride there and it’s mid nap time I did not want to wake him up and the young girl behind the counter Olivia was so sweet she even brought the food and water ice out to the car because I didn’t want to wake him up just to grab the food! Every single time I’m there it’s always an amazing experience all the workers are very sweet. A friend and I just went there two days ago for some water ice and another amazing Experience! Plus they definitely have the best water ice and food!!!! Highly Highly HIGHLY recommend if you haven’t been there before you need to go and check it out!!!! “I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment with the level of customer service I experienced at the Springfield location of the Pretzel Factory. On June 11, 2025 I visited the store expecting a quick and courteous transaction. Unfortunately, what I encountered was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. While several customers, including myself, waited in line to be served, an employee named ALFONZO was openly using his phone and not acknowledging anyone. When someone tried to get his attention, he casually flagged us off as if we were bothering him. There was no apology, no explanation, and certainly no sense of urgency or respect for customers. This kind of behavior is not only disrespectful, it drives customers away. In a time when businesses rely heavily on customer loyalty and word of mouth, employees should be representing the brand with professionalism and basic courtesy. I strongly urge management to address this issue and ensure that staff are trained—or retrained—on the importance of customer service. If this is the type of behavior that is tolerated, I will not be returning, and I will certainly discourage others from doing so. Sincerely,“
