“We had the pretzel sticks as an appetizer- so good!! And a nice surprise was they were $3.00 off since it was happy hour. I ordered the most delicious Cobb Salad and my husband had the Homewrecker Burger which he thoroughly enjoyed. Our service was on point. We have never had a bad experience here. Always a good time and delicious. I'm just sorry I forgot to take pics.“

“Not the same as it was, but the new owner is passionate and the staff is top notch. I miss some of the charm of the old vibe, but the Pub is in the hands of someone who appears to care about the place, while following her own vision. Still one of the best spots to grab a Guinness, eat a little (good) pub food and share a good conversation.“

“Must try this local hidden gem, get the homemade soup, wings, fish sandwich and pizza logs. Other food was great around the table. Great rotating local PA craft beer selection. I don't care if you think I'm weird but there's a really old-school urinal that I thought was awesome in the men's room“

“My friend and I stopped in on our way back home from Pittsburgh. He said he was there once and they had excellent wings. He wasn't lying. They are whole, jumbo wings and they fell off the bone. Kaylee, our server and bartender was wonderful. The cook, I think it was Joe. They were out of a certain wing sauce, but he made a new batch, just for me.
I'll be stopping again soon.“

“A 60-something local rocker, when I asked him which bar in Pittsburgh best captures the spirit of the beautiful ’60s–’70s, said: “Squirrel Hill Cafe.” I think he was right. There’s no pretentiousness here. Food is just food, drinks are drinks, service is service, and quality is quality. Time seems to have stopped here — and that’s a beautiful thing.“

“Lots of wing flavors and they came out hot and crispy! Between my husband, Dad and I, we had 4 different flavors: Cajun wet, hot garlic, honey badger, and jackal. They were all good! Decent beer selection. We sat outside under the tent which has three TVs. French onion soup, pesto flatbread, kids pizza, kids chicken fingers and salads were all good as well.“

They have a music box to play your own music if you like.Saturday night live Dj.Bingo as well on some night. “I've been coming here since I was 4 , thats 70 years ! Never dissappointed. In the 50's + peanut shells ankle deep very small bar area but the FISH was it. Now a place to enjoy with the whole family clean,friendly, great food, fast friendly service with smiles! Fair prices, and the BEST FISH around. Ez to find and you'll luv it.“
“What a fun little spot to stop in for a drink before & after an event. We dropped by for the 1st time b4 the Pens game (& after if course). The owner Jimmy was so gracious, so friendly to talk with. The crowd wasn't too bad (we even started taking to a few other PENs fans, that was nice) , the food was really good. So if you're looking for a good place to hang out, grab a bite & a drink be sure to stop at Shale's. I know I'll definitely be back.“

“Update I wish I could remember our server's name! She was awesome and gave me a spare hair tie! Literally saved my sanity!
What a fun space! Beautiful art and architecture. Service was great. Our server had a huge party (easily 20 people) and she did a phenomenal job with them and taking care of my husband and I.“
