“A restaurant full of history.Incredibly fun to walk through antique shop, fascinating treasures, interesting artwork, each room had a unique flavor and ambiance. Now, the food...Great authentic German cuisine experience. Pretzel-like bread was especially delicious. Great variety of different schnitzel and German meats. Didn't order and beer, but many different options available. Fresh and made right there in the adjoining kitchen to dining area. Feels intimate and as if you're enjoying a home cooked meal.Special recognition to the experience and atmosphere. Owners are great hosts and make you feel like family.“

“This place was amazing! We left Kalahari to have dinner in town, and we came up on this fun restaurant. The food was fresh and delicious and they had many desserts to choose from, but the best part was all the activities that they have for the kids. They were a few bouncy houses/inflatable's, rock walls, ropes, and a large gymnastics/tumble mat. The service was very pleasant. I would highly recommend this place for anyone, especially with the family!“
“My husband and I have been vacationing here in the Poconos for about 10 years. We are from Maryland. We discovered Cakes and Scones several years ago and ever since, we make it a point to go to our favorite bakery, Cakes & Scones! Always have had the best scones, cakes (esp the chocolate lava cake!!), coffee, quiches, and pies!!!We bought a blueberry crumb pie this year and it was loaded with blueberries and not too sweet, but sweet enough! It was delicious to say the least!! One reviewer complained that they did not have doughnuts—I would refer that said person to check out Dunkin Doughnuts!!Tere and Andy are wonderful bakers, pleasant to talk to and most helpful. We always look forward when we come to the Poconos and check out their latest bakery item!! We have never been disappointed!!“

“Great local spot in the area. The staff is very friendly and the food came out fast. I got the Pittsburg burger which came with crispy fries and we also got pierogis and penne a la vodka. Def good picks, would like to try the rest of the menu!“
“The food is really good and you get a lot of it for your money. It's very sports bar feeling (not my favorite). The service is pretty good, not amazing, but I can't really complain.Vegetarian options: House SaladDietary restrictions: My wife is allergic to mushrooms and she was able to get stuff without mushrooms in it. They were accommodating in this way.“

“This morning 570 Jeeps Tri-State Chapter stopped in to fill up before a long day on the trails. I’d like to thank Kevin and the other short order cook for manning the grill and the awesome wait staff and prep people. Thanks for having us!“

“Before COVID this was my go to sushi place, they never disappointed, until today. Some rolls were missing ingredients, but the main issue was with amount of fish placed in the rolls, literally as thin as a toothpick. You guys should be ashamed of yourself.“

“Stopped by for gas and saw the resturaunt right across. We were hungry so we stopped in. Everyone was so kind and understanding with whatever we needed. Prices are reasonable and proteins are huge! The ravioli was the best with beef and pork stuffed in them. The fettuccine Alfredo had smooth and silky noodles but the chicken was a little too dry/tough. The chicken in the parmigiana was good though! The free focaccia bread was unexpected but yummy! Great addition to the meal. Clean bathrooms and a great dinner to keep going with our 12 hour drive home.“
“My wife and I have been to the French Manor 4 or 5 times over the past 7 years. It is our happy-place getaway in the Pocono mountains. The scenery in the fall is incredible, the staff are welcoming and excellent, and the restaurant is truly incredible. Our goal is to plan at least one weekend trip every year. I highly recommend!!“

“Honestly very good food. Ham and bean soup reminded me of my father's from when I was little. The alfredo was simple, creamy, and had the right amount of saltiness. Jenny, my server was very nice and answered all of my questions and listened to my nervous babble. Wonderful service. The bar area is beautiful, sleek, and the staff seemed happy to be there. Will definitely be coming backKid-friendliness: I could definitely feel comfortable taking my son here. Has a kids menu but honestly just share some of the alfredo. Portions are huge!“

“Pleasantly surprised by this spot nearby Lake Wallenpaupack.... Impressive looking cocktail menu that didn't disappoint and the food was fantastic! Service came with a smile and was great as well. My only complaint was that it took a long time to be greeted, which I had previously heard about this establishment.“

“Best Chinese food I've had outside of Chinatown or New Jersey. Nice friendly staff. Flavorful food. Dark brown sauces (not light) and roast pork fried rice has flavor and everything you'd expect in it (not barely cooked white rice with just onions!)Will definitely go back again and again!Wheelchair accessibility: 100% wheelchair accessible.“
