“My wife and I recently stopped at Lena's Café on Route 652 for lunch, and overall we had a very enjoyable experience.
I ordered the Reuben on rye, while my wife chose the turkey Reuben. Both sandwiches were very good and served with chips. I decided to upgrade to French fries with my meal, and I'm glad I did. The fries were absolutely outstanding—without question some of the best I've ever had.
My Reuben was huge and packed with flavor. My wife's turkey Reuben was more average in size but equally tasty. For drinks, I ordered a Diet Pepsi and my wife requested a glass of water. One surprise was that the water was listed at $2.75 on the bill. I wasn't sure of the cost of the Diet Pepsi.
The only minor issue during our visit was with drink service. About halfway through my meal, I asked for a refill on my Diet Pepsi, but it didn't arrive until the check was brought to the table, and it was served in a to-go cup. By that point, I no longer needed it, so I left it behind.
That small hiccup aside, the food was excellent, the portions were generous, and the fries alone are worth a return visit. We enjoyed our lunch and would certainly stop by Lena's Café again when we're in the area.“

“Rustic, unassumingly charming place that sits off the beaten track, but close to Honesdale and Hawley. Lots of food options. Burger was delicious. Wife had chicken sandwich. Had an IPA from Jam Room in Greentown. Wish they had more craft on tap. We went here three years ago when scouting the area on vacation. Now we live in the region. Great service.“

“We are in town for a wedding and chose this place because they make a vegan pizza. It's not an after thought or something to placate the one vegan friend in the group. It's thoughtful and delicious and filling. There's no fake cheese, just all whole ingredients. My nonvegan husband really liked the carrot puree. Definitely will be back when we're in the area.“

“On a weekend getaway in Hawley this past weekend and came across this hidden gem breakfast place - Laurel's Hometown Cafe in Honesdale! Fantastic service, food and hospitality. Christina our server was awesome as well as the chef. Awesome breakfast, generous portions and priced just right for every budget. I have already recommended this cafe to friends that visit the area and I will keep spreading the word. Thank you for making our morning a great one.“
