“Fantastic Eggdrop Wanton Soup mix, probably the best I've found in the area since Ho Wah closed (RIP). Also really enjoy the Chicken & Broccoli and the egg rolls! Going to update the review as I try more from here, which I definitely will be doing!“

“Fantastic food and service. Fish fillets in chili sauce was delicious and generous with fillets. The spicy incense pot was loaded with meats and flavor. The story of Cross Bridge rice noodles was great! Fantastic flavor of tofu Szechuan. Prices are reasonable, and portions are generous. Friendly service.“

“Amazingly good food. So hard to find good " any" kind of food nowadays. We had beef broccoli, vegetable lo mein, spicy shrimp and chicken garlic sauce. Everything was so cooked perfectly. Only caveat was they take cash only. But again food is good and cheap.“
“This is my go to place for Chinese food in this area.1. It's nice and clean inside.2. They have regular Chinese food options.3. Regular prices.4. The food is always fresh.5. If you ask them to add some spice to your dish, they do.6. Seating inside is limited, so I usually wait in my car while my food is being made.I had to try a few different places in the area before I found this one and they have been great. Customer serivce is not the greatest, but I don't expect but some much from a take-out restrautrant.“

“I have been on the hunt for the best Chinese restaurant around since I’ve been in the area, and this place is it. For all the veg people looking for good vegetarian/vegan options, this place has the BEST general tso tofu. Everything me and my partner have tried here did not disappoint.“

“Beautiful, nice and quiet place for lunch or dinner, food has amazing flavor and it is fresh. Lots of parking comfortable sitting/atmosphere. Is located on an unexpected area and I kind of like it. Plus the food makes it easier to get out of my way.“

“I love Chinese if you seen anything I commented on to Nauseam. This is one of the best in Harrisburg. They have all day specials. Which really helps the wallet. Not only that but it's good. Try getting Rib Tip sauce or spicy garlic sauce on your chicken or fries.“

“Updated for MENU - their website doesn't work. Can't speak for others. We've gotten good experiences here for some time now.Notably, this is one of the Chinese places that knows how to change their oil out once in a while so everything doesn't taste like everything else.I would recommend take out. The dining room is cold in the winter. That said, plan ahead. There have been times where 20 minutes has turned into 40. It's a family owned business and there are times they are shorthanded.Parking: Have never seen the parking lot so full you couldn't find a space.“

“Visiting from Philly and stopped here for something small. Such a pleasant surprise for a Strawberry Center food court stop. We got the Hunan chicken and I was fully prepared for the typical chicken bits and canned veggies drowning in a brown sauce. Instead, we got a dish that's loaded with fresh seasonal veggies, not over-cooked but rather still crunchy and nutritious. The sauce is tasty too, with real peppers adding a bit of heat. We soaked it all up with the white rice. I'm just blown away - it's gourmet Asian food at 1/3 of the price I'm used to paying.“

“Great food, fast service, friendly people. I had my headphones in so I couldn't understand the lady but a girl standing beside me helped with my confusion being there for my first time. I called ahead for my order and when you get there to pick up you just give the lady behind the counter your last 4 of your phone number so they know what order is yours. Went back a few days later and had the same fat service and great hot food. Definitely go by as much as possible.Kid-friendliness: Big open lobby with some seating on the side, but enough room inside that kids can be out of the way while ordering and waiting. I didn't see any tables or I just can't remember if there were any. I only grabbed take out, sorry.Wheelchair accessibility: On Street level with a big sidewalk out front, the door easily opens, big open lobby.“

“Very busy for a rainy weeknight. I called our order ahead & still had to wait for it. Not complaining just stating business. Friendly lady at counter. She also had to help the other 2 gentlemen in the kitchen. As I waited the people kept coming in, to pick up or to get an order started. We had chicken mai fun very large portion & an egg roll surprise with tofu curry. Delicious.Parking: Only have a few parking spaces, might be more around back?“

“First visit! The place is simple but comfortable and it's clean so it's a good eat in location. Staff are minimal but always busy. Weird not used to working the computer system but it is relatively easy once you read and touch! You can order through their staff also. My wife ordered the Orange Chicken Sweet & spicy, broccoli. I ordered the Black Beans with Chicken Broccoli, onion, black bean, carrot. The Orange Chicken had a great sweet orange taste and a spicy hot kick to it. The Black Beans with chicken was perfect sauce with delicate flavoring the chicken was very tender and the broccoli onion and carrots were perfectly cooked al Dente! Portion sizes are good and a plate is more than filling especially with rice. This place came recommended by a couple of people. I will be hoping them in recommending it also“

“The best ,quick ,Chinese cuisine , Harrisburg has to offer. I love the atmosphere, the service and the preparation of the food. My first choice anytime Chinese food is mentioned, it has to come from Chan's!Vegetarian options: Vegetable fried rice is my favorite.“

“Usually food hits, but the habachi chicken and chicken from the chicken fried rice was hard as a rock, it's not edible, unfortunately a waste of money there, however the chicken broccoli was good and the lo mein were good. Please address this issue Taipei Kitchen, you guys are the go-to chinese takeout, don't let the people down ????????????Dietary restrictions: If you can't have spice get the chicken or beef broccoli. The boubro chicken and habachi chicken are great options when thy aren't too salty, there a more hit or miss option. Always get the lo mein, it's a solid pick for cuz made from egg, "egg noodles". If you don't got dietary issues, then whatever looks good should do you good.“

“This is my goto Chinese takeout place. The staff isn't super friendly. The dining area looks half closed. The food is solid, though. Won't blow your mind, but if you're looking for decent Chinese to go, this is the best around for a few miles.“

“I was shocked to see the poor reviews on here for this place. We've ordered from here twice via Grubhub because my wife is a big fan of their coconut chicken, which is not something you see on a lot of local Chinese menus. Overall the food is solid. It tastes pretty much how you would expect from a Chinese takeout restaurant. They put more wontons in their soup than most places. I don't know that it's any better than similar establishments closer to me on the west shore, but it's not any worse, either.“

“The ladies are always so kind to me here. The portions are really good and prices aren't extreme. They've even given me extra of stuff if they didn't like the portion they might have given me. Wonderful staff. Usually my go to if I'm in the food court or craving Chinese.“
“I’m shocked no one has reviewed this place yet! My first order here was a wonton soup and an egg drop soup. Both were fantastic! Definitely the best wonton in all of Mechanicsburg. Looking forward to trying out other dishes as there’s a real lack of good Chinese food in the southern part of Mechanicsburg!“

“2015 update: I usually get the general tso's, which I have never ever had anything better than their's. Highly recommend them. I used to work near them so my friend and I probably went enough to pay the rent bill. :)2024 update: after a decade of going to China one and having general tso's literally at every Chinese restaurant I could get to in a 20 mile radius over the years, they absolutely still make the best! I will add my same friend, and I still come here fairly regularly at least 1 or 2 times a month. I think as a very long time patron I have the right to say in all honesty that the interior decor, walls, bathrooms, menus, and basically everything you can see is in need of a MASSIVE renovation! It makes it feel crumby to see it and eat there cause you aren't sure just how clean anything is. It's like they built the place, and that was the last time they thought about updating literally anything. Not being mean, I just want to eat A class food in an A class restaurant, not a D- restaurant. I recommend this place to anyone. They will always say my 2 favorite words at the end of ordering every time, "ten minutes" if you know, you know... :)“
“Finally, FINALLY some decent Chinese food in the Mechanicsburg area. We've had such a dearth of good Chinese for so long, and sometimes you just want some good old American Chinese food. We've ordered takeout from here several times and have been happy with our food each time. We've had General Tso Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Pork Lo Mein, and Scallion Pancake and all were excellent. I've also tried the "Hot & Spicy Chicken" which was good but a little bit dry. We've been ordering a lot recently because it's been such a treat to have Chinese in the area that is good. Try it! You'll like it.“

“I always order delivery from this place, so I have nothing to say as to what the building may look like or what condition it's in. Some reviews have complained that the place is falling apart a little. I can't contest that in any way. However, I will say that as someone who has ordered delivery and hasn't encountered any issues like the others here (such as issues with delivery services arriving late, or getting the wrong food altogether & not getting refunded, which are all valid complaints from the other reviewers) the food has been very good. The Mongolian beef is particularly delicious, as some reviewers here have mentioned, and that alone has made this my family and I's go-to Chinese restaurant, since that is my father's favorite thing to order. My personal favorite dish of theirs is the Szechuan chicken. Standard staples such as Lo Mein & Fried Rice are all very good here as well, in my experience.“

“10/10 THE SPOT for fantastic food made with real, authentic soul. I cannot hype these guys up enough, I’ve lived in Harrisburg for about 8 years and can honestly say that this place just does it right. They serve high volumes of customers day in and day out and never fail to impress. The ingredients are fresh, the portions are perfect, everything is always right on. Total “hidden gem” of Harrisburg City.“

“We got take out from here- my husband asked if they made authentic Chinese food as there are a lot of restaurants here that tweak the food to a more "Americanized" taste. The owner was thrilled and suggested a few different dishes. We obviously didn't let them know ahead of time, so we'll be calling next time to check out their more authentic dishes. They are definitely on the heavily salted side... I think I drank 4 cups of water while consuming their dishes. We requested for less salt, but it was still heavily salted. Just fyi for those of you with hypertension... They are updating their menu so we'll be back to try some more things! Hopefully they decrease the amount of salt/soy sauce in their cooking. Otherwise, glad we found a Chinese restaurant to go to!“
